Family Vacation
We initially chose this house for its size and location to the ocean. We are a family of 9 - 8 adults and a toddler. We stayed for a week. The house is great although was not equipped as advertised. As we were cooking for ourselves, we made a grocery stop before arrival. When we arrived at the house, we were disappointed to find no spices as advertised except for a half shaker of pepper. The pots and pans were very worn and everything we cooked stuck. The griddle on the stove was rusted and did not work. The outside grill did not get hot enough to cook food safely. The kitchen needs some love. New pots and pans and baking sheets are highly recommended. The kitchen lighting is poor and a lot of lights were burned out.Other than that, everything else is well maintained except for the bedroom with the twin beds. Neither the toilet nor the shower worked. We mentioned this to the host upon arrival but it was never repaired during our stay. Pool towels were abundant but the kitchen lacked dish drying towels. Maid service was good. They came every odd day and did a thorough cleaning and washed the towels/bedding.The host was responsive to our request for more bottled water, although it took a full day for it to arrive.You definitely need a car if staying here as it is a 15 minute drive to Playa or Puerto Morelos.
