This was our second time staying at this cabin. The first time we stayed with one family and this time we brought another family. The views are amazing, the hot tub is definitely a plus, and we really enjoyed the game room, playing pool and games with the kids every night. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the views are incredible. As my friend Alicia mentioned in her previous review, the pictures do not do this cabin any justice as it is much nicer in person. Great host, great place, will definitely visit again!
To be honest the ride up to the cabin felt a little sketchy. Had all of us holding on to the handle. Walked in the cabin fell in love. Smell good it looked good it was very clean. Plenty of towels for everyone. The game room was a huge hit. Play pool for half the night. I'm not sure if I spoke with the homeowner or management. But they are very helpful immediately response to my text. Myself and my family was very comfortable and happy with the beautiful cabin.
This home had exactly what we were looking for during our Christmas vacation week. The photos do not do the home or property justice. It is so much more than you expect. From the beautiful mountain/valley views to all that is available in the home for your vacation. We went on vacation with another family to this home and it was the perfect set up. The kids were able to share the loft bedroom and had their own bathroom. Each set of adults had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The home has everything that you need! Plenty of cookware, games and so many memories to make with your family. Every time that I had questions about the home (while planning and packing for our vacation) the owners always replied promptly. They were wonderful hosts and we didn't even need to contact them much as everything in the home was self explanatory. Be sure you read the directions to the home before you arrive (and not just putting in the gps address). We were driving all day and almost missed the directions as we live in a day and age where everything is relied upon our maps. The hosts really thought of everything!
Went to the cabin with family and friends and enjoyed our time. Loved that each floor had a bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was GREAT. Loved the view from the porch. Would go back for another visit
The property has great views of the mountains and the valley. The inside was very clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had and it was solved promply by the property owner wouldn't apply to most people. We travedl with a 24ft trailer and the road to the cabin was narrow with switchbacks. With a call to the owner she provided us with the names of neighbors that lived at the base of the road. We were able to leave the trailer there. I would recommend staying there to anyone.
Was really a very nice stay. just wish we had more time. It was a place I would proudly call my own. I just felt welcome with no worry's. Will definitely keep this place for places to stay in the future.
Anyone who is looking to stay in a cabin with a spectacular view of the North Carolina Mountains... This is your place! The cabin is a 3-bedroom 3 bath home with spectacular views! The hot tub is huge and the game room is truly a place to keep you entertained. The cleanliness of the home is outstanding and communication with the property owners is the best. We will recommend this to everyone that we know, as well as anyone searching VRBO that it is a place that you can count on being a very well worth vacation away!
The property was comfortable and well kept. The views were breathtaking. There was plenty of space for our whole family and then some. The hot tub was a huge bonus. Liked the location. The only things that would have taken the property over the top would have been gas to operate the fireplaces, seating on the outside deck to enjoy the view, and the water getting hotter (that’s probably due to time of year). But again I can’t say enough about the view, the comfortable accommodations, the responsiveness of the owners, and the proximity to lots of fun things to do. Snowfall was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
We really liked the cabin. The location was great. The cabin was within a hour or hour and a half of the places we wanted to go to. We even had a gray fox come by and visit us one night. Thanks for letting us stay at your cabin.

Why they chose this property
Love the views and laid back life style in the Mountains. To mapquest the location use 100 Pipes Branch, Murphy, NC as the address of the cabin is not in mapquest's data base. You will turn on to Pipes Branch, turn right on Raccoon Ridge Rd and follow the black topped road to the top of the mountain. DO NOT turn on to Raccoon Ridge Rd that is off of Lungsford Rd.. It looks good at the bottom due to the cement paving but that ends and becomes a rutted dirt road.
