Hidden Beach Unit 3 - In Old Town, just 3 blocks from Duval Street; this property sits on Key West’s only natural beach. Hidden Beach is right on the Atlantic Ocean nestled between Key West’s best restaurant (Louie’s Backyard) and the beautiful, luxurious Reach Resort. Check it out on Google maps. Don't forget to zoom in.

Here, you can enjoy spectacular views and sunsets from one of the islands only private beaches or you can stroll through Old Town, an amazing architectural and botanical treasure. It is a short walk to many of Key West’s best attractions including the Butterfly and Nature Conservancy, The Southernmost Point, Hemingway House and the very cool Key West Lighthouse Museum.

The sculptor Seward Johnson and producer/writer Joyce Johnson created this property for their family and close friends, but are now offering it to a select group of discriminating visitors.

Week long get away

The place was beautiful, peaceful and Lisa was very attentive to our questions and requests. It's off the rowdy Duval path just a touch, but still very convenient. Will stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Best!

The best location, accommodation, and value! We had our own private beach and balcony, along with a third-story rooftop view of the sunset every evening. We could walk or bike anywhere on the island. Lisa was very helpful and took great care of us. The unit was spotless and very well furnished. We stay at Hidden Beach whenever we are in Key West if it's available. It's a guaranteed success for your trip!

Wonderful and quiet place!

Very nice and clean place and quiet. We loved this place, ideal situation to take a walk, go to the beach and discover this town. We come back next year 😀 an oasis to rest while having plenty to do and visit nearby

Great place to spend the holidays

Nice property, well maintained, beautiful sun rises. Very close to everything. Consider renting a scooter to get around; easy to park and tons of fun

Hidden Gem

The location, the views, the amenities….all were top notch. I cannot say enough about this place. Truly a hidden gem on an amazing hidden beach. Lisa our host was extremely responsive, helpful and kind. I can’t thank her enough for making our experience seamless! We will be back!!!

Pleasant and Private

Great place to stay cannot get closed to the beach, other than the tropical storm that hit our second day the property is great for two people, the property staff is the best very responsive. Louies backyard next door food is great along with our favorite of Red Shoe Island Bistro excellent.

Fantastic views, great property

We had a wonderful stay here before Christmas. The property is clean and in a great location. Lisa was easy to work with and very responsive. The views from the balconies and crows nest are fantastic. Access to The Reach next door was a nice perk, although we did use the property’s beach as well. We are already looking forward to our next stay here, and hoping it stays ‘hidden’ enough that it is available!

Another awesome stay

As always the house was just amazing. I was worried about what I would find after the hurricane caused so much property damage, but David, Lisa, Kat and crew really worked hard to put the property back in great shape for guests. I will return again! This property is well worth your time to visit.

Perfect Paradise

Hidden Beach was an adorable place, extremely clean and had everything we needed. A close walk to the greatest restaurants and adorable shops. It was amazing having access to The Reach Resort which is 10 steps away. The private beach is perfect. Lots to do and people are very friendly. We will be back. We stayed for a week and were not ready to come home. Lisa is awesome! xoxo

Absolutely Amazing

The best compliment I can give, is to say we will be back the next time we are in Key West! Beautiful apartment with everything we needed. In a quiet area that we enjoyed but still close enough to walk to touristy areas. We walked some and also did ride shares. Plenty of golf cart, scooter and bicycle rentals available as well. We loved sitting on the balconies and relaxing. My husband especially enjoyed the crow's nest for a better view of the area. Excellent communication with Lisa who answered any questions I had. Lovely architecture and furniture made for a homey atmosphere. Loved it!

Lovely and Relaxing

We've vacationed in KW many many times over the last 30 years, and this was the best stay. The room was large and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the water. The kitchen was small but well-equipped and functional. All was super clean. Neighborhood is great - quiet but quick skip to Duval if that's your thing. Being next to Louie's Backyard was a plus for happy hour and a bowl of conch chowder. Any questions were answered promptly. If you read about the seaweed - yes, there is seaweed but that's the ocean - and if you're visiting the ocean, you're one lucky dog!

Hidden Beach Unit 3 Has It All – Comfort, View and Location

Hidden Beach Unit 3 is huge, the décor is authentic Key West and the furnishings are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with every gadget you’ll need, including a Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom is enormous and contains a washer and dryer, shower and whirlpool tub. The shower head is oddly positioned, but it gets the job done. The bed is luxurious and the Atlantic Ocean is the first thing you see each morning as you sit up. The unit has two private balconies overlooking the beach and a rooftop widow’s walk that overlooks everything. We spent many hours relaxing on the living room balcony sipping morning coffee or evening cocktails and even more time sunning ourselves on the bedroom balcony. Both balconies offer breathtaking, expansive views of the ocean. We love the location of Hidden Beach. We have stayed in Truman Annex when visiting Key West in the past. Not anymore. We really enjoyed the south end of the island. There are quite a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. We rented bicycles and everything located on upper Duval was within an eight minute ride. However, at the beginning of the week, we took a cab to Publix for a few essentials. Fausto’s is just too filthy and expensive. We will vacation in Key West again. We hope that Hidden Beach 3 is available when we do.

Amazing unit, beach terrible

I’m giving this a medium review, and here’s why, the property is amazing, the unit and the view spectacular. The communication perfect. But we rented this unit because of its private beach. And while the beach is private with a fence around it. It’s not somewhere to spend time. First there’s no access to the water from the private beach. Yes you can use the reach beach resort which is fine but inconvenient. But here’s where the problem lies, the sea grass isn’t maintained, so the private beach is gross and the smell overwhelmingly terrible. So even if you could get pst that, the reach beach does maintain the sea grass except the pile it right next to the property fence where you would sit. And try to enjoy the private beach. The water is anything but clear in this area of the keys, at least until you get about 100 yards off the beach. Which the amount of sea grass you have to wade through to get there is gross. I took pictures but can’t find a place to upload them. Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay here again just because of the smell and the beach being pretty much unusable.

Séjour magnifique!

Tout était parfait! L'emplacement au bord de la mer, petite plage privée, accès à l'hôtel voisin pour la plage et la piscine, près de Duval Street, etc. On y retourne c'Est sûr!

Secluded oasis

We loved the location for its privacy, quiet hours and relaxation elements. I will say that we did not rent a car, bike or golf cart and we did a lot of walking because of this - the property is close to the water however it is farther away from other attractions if that is something you are wanting to visit. There were a few days that we walked 4+ miles. Other than the walking, we loved our stay. Lisa was fantastic and available if anything came up. We had a grocery order through Publix that delivered directly to us. Uber was easy to use and came right to the front gate!
