You have beautiful sunset every evening from inside the newly decorated home, by the crackling fire, from the bedrooms, and from the wrap around deck. Entertaining, cooking steaks on the gas grill and relaxing outside are just a few of the activities that await you. This home is well appointed with everything you need for your getaway and only thing you need to bring is your food and drinks. For the more adventurous, try the 20 minute steep trail down to the massive waterfall which is on the 5 acres this log home sits on and you will enjoy the soothing water sound day and night. This property backs up to 100 + acres of pristine untouched forest. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are just a short drive away - 15 min. Easy drive to Black Mountain, Biltmore Estate, Downtown Asheville, and Downtown Hendersonville.

Nearly heaven

Great views from a little cabin on a mountain

The views from the cabin were very nice and we had an overall pleasant stay. There was evidence of mice, which is half expected in a remote cabin. FYI the waterfall was completely inaccessible due to downed trees. From a value perspective I think there are better options.

Great weekend getaway

Had a great time at Lake Lure and looked forward to coming home to this cabin. The views are unbeatable and it was very cozy. The waterfall trail is VERY steep but the kids loved it and it was worth the trek.

Charming Property with a beautiful sunset view

Well maintained, seasoned property off the beat and path sprinkled with some modern amenities. The sunset view is something to see. Convenient location for Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet Perfection with Great Views

Relaxing getaway with fantastic views

The cabin is cozy and equipped with everything necessary to have a relaxing time. We loved just sitting on the back deck in the rocking chairs and watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the rushing river far below us. It was in a secluded and very quiet area. Overall a very restful weekend.

Magical!!

The pictures simply do not do this property justice. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the view and the coziness of the home. We made it down to the waterfall on day two and it is reallllly steep but worth the effort to get down there. We were visited by bears and this was the highlight of the trip for my two little girls! Chimney Rock village has so many cute places to eat and grab a drink. Do not miss out on Fae Nectar, quite the unique experience and just added to our adventures. Chimney rock gem mining was so fun for our girls and playing in the river while we stopped at Chimney rock brewery! We couldn’t get enough of the view from sunrise until sunset and we are already planning our next trip! They have claimed this as BEST TRIP EVER. Thank you to the owners for being so responsive and accommodating and sharing your magical home with our family!

Awesome View & Quiet

This cabin is very nice with great decks for grilling, relaxing or just taking in the awesome mountain views. If it's too hot or too cold to go out, just sit in and look through large sliding glass doors, same great view. You can see same view out the main bedroom through it's sliding glass doors as well. Would stay again if in the area. Cabin has all you need, just bring the food and drinks...

Rustic mountain escape

Absolutely perfect from the moment we checked in to the day we left. Exquisite views of the mountain ranges from this charming cabin with all the amenities you’ll need. The cabin is nestled in the perfect location for day trip adventures with your family. We stayed for a week and could have done more still. Great layout and kept very clean as well. Wonderful Week in the Mountains

Wow! What a view from the back deck. It was absolutely breathtaking!! Cabin was very nice, clean, and had all we needed. Grill did not have any gas, but the owner quickly responded and had us a tank within a couple of days. We appreciated being able to directly communicate with the owner and his helpfulness! Highly recommend this cabin

Great location to get away ....

Beautiful view, quiet, remote, comfortable cabin and not far from Castle Rock and Lake Lure areas. Sitting on the back porch you can hear the waterfall. We did attempt to go down the steep path to it, but turned back because we could see rainfall had eroded parts of it. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Nice modern bathroom on the first floor and some updates in the 2nd floor bathroom. Whether your staying for a short or longer term, just about everything you need is available. We spent a lot of time on the back porch, enjoying the view. After a rainfall, the mountains fill with low clouds. And every day you're treated to a sunset. If you like to hike or explore, its good to go down to the Castle Rock area. The State park is great. Castle Rock itself is a small town with a great selection of different eateries, and something for everyone. We had lunch at Lake Lure too. A little farther past the lake is a nice grocery store, Ingles. Its fully stocked with almost everything you can imagine. Everyone we met everywhere we went were polite, and neighborly.

We live in Columbia, SC just about 2 hours away. We always loved the NC mountains for the beauty of nature and enjoyed the healing energy when visiting. So when finally we stepped on the deck of this cabin we knew this is what we want. We usually come to stay one weekend for a month and we love to share this gorgeous place with people who enjoy the real beauty of our mother nature.

What makes this property unique

This cabin is a very quiet place with no neighbors. You are surrounded by trees. The 180 degree view of the mountains is breath taking. The back deck is facing the west so you get a gorgeous sunset view every evening. The best thing to do is sitting in the rocking chairs watching the clouds go by and hearing the waterfall down the valley. The cabin is a real solid wooden cabin with all rustic old furniture and decorations so you feel like going back in time. The location is also very convenient with just about 15min to Chimney Rock downtown and 30min to Hendersonville or Black Mountain. Driving to Ashville is about 45min. Also there are plenty local attractions and trails for you to choose nearby. There is a steep challenging trail from our back yard leading you down to a wonderful waterfall. We have had this cabin for almost 15 years and we still love it. It's such a relaxation get away from you routine busy city life style. We are very grateful to have a place like this to enjoy and love to share it with others.
