This property was perfect for a quick family getaway. Enough to keep the kids entertained and still have the peace of the hills. Close to town if we needed anything and also a shirt drive to hiking. I plan to come back!
Nice cabin that was perfect for our weekend holiday stay. Staff was receptive with our questions/requests and consistently checked in on us. The map isn't exactly to scale so it was a little hard finding the hiking trail and store, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would come again.
Perfect for our girls weekend. Place was spotless and check-in a breeze. Conveniently located to the park and area attractions. Quiet in the evening. Loved the texts with updates and things to do. Would stay again. This cabin had a great location with plenty of shade and large deck.
Cabin was very clean. Had plenty of wash clothes and towels. We did most of the cooking and had enough utensils and pans to make a meal. Very quite campground.
We had a very nice spot with deck, patio and porch. We loved it. Would come here again.
The property manager contacted us and moved us into the mini house. It was a perfect space for my family. It was a nice weekend and great place to stay.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. I had an issue with the door lock and the manager was their promptly. This was a nice campground that is close to Hocking HIlls State Park and the restaraunts in the town of Logan.
Cabin was clean, had all the necessities, but the living room area had only one couch. There's no way you'd have 6 people share this cabin. Only one TV, too, awkwardly hung right above the dinette table. No TV in the bedroom. So whoever tries to sleep on the sofa has to wait until everyone else is in bed.
Close to groceries and shops.
Good location, close to stores and restaurants and short drive to trailheads. Nice view of the sunset and likely the sunrise too if you are an early bird. A short walk down to Lake Logan. The cabins were quite close to each other, but they were clean and everything worked. If you plan to spend evenings in the cabin playing games at the table, or watching TV, you might need to get creative when it comes to comfort. We had to put pillows on the stools at the table, and pull out the futon to get comfortable when watching TV.
Nice super small cabin. As pictured you are right between 2 other cabins. It was quiet when we were there but neighbors could vary. Little bit of an ant problem but not horrible. They are building decks for all the cabins the ones that have them are nice (this one had materials stacked but not built yet). If you plan to cook might want to bring amenities. What is there is limited. A/C has trouble keeping up during the day and freezes you at night. It wasn’t that hot outside (low 80s) but the cabin got warm. Lots to do at the main building if you have little ones. Had a nice stay, but probably a one off for us.
Overall the stay was nice and the cabin was as advertised and well maintained. The campground was quite and all the guests respective of each other.
The staff was helpful and responsive in all our requests when we had questions or needed more paper towels/ toilet paper, etc.
Would like to see a dresser or some luggage racks in the bedroom, didn't like to have to leave our suitcases on the floor all week. Some hooks by the door for jackets/dog leashes, etc., would be nice also.
Fire pits were nice but probably need more air flow, our son had a hard time keeping a fire going.
The cabin was small, cute, clean, fit my small family of 4 comfortably for our 1 night stay. The kids loved the rustic look and peaceful charm. The layout wasn't ideal, with a bunk bed in a sort of hallway next to the bathroom and in front of the main bedroom with the larger bed. It would have been nice to have a door between that area and the kitchen/sitting area so that the adults could hang out in the living area with the lights on after putting the kids to bed (still have to sneak by to go to the bathroom). But we were there for a brief quiet getaway, so this wasnt a big deal for us; I mention it more as an FYI for you, future occupant, to plan ahead and in case it is possible for the owners to install a door.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Resort cabin Teal. The size and location were perfect for our needs. Very clean, and even the towels/linens were delightful (you never know if they're going to have a spoiled smell and they didn't). It was close enough to town that we could venture to Walmart for groceries, and enjoyed the Logan Antique Mall without having to drive in and out of back roads in the dark. The view was awesome... You could see the lake on the back side, and woods and mountain from the other side, as well as deer! The Wi-Fi was shifty (going in and out) the first night, but no issues the second. Our only concern was that the room heater didn't heat the back room fully. I messaged the owner and they responded quickly, but I personally think that it was just incredibly cold the first night. The second night it was cozy so I'm not sure if it was weather or they came out and "fixed" it. Sidenote, no blow dryer (that's my fault) but all other amenities were suitable. Water pressure was acceptable as well. Either way, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.
Mostly great, but we do have a couple of suggestions
Overall, we really enjoyed this cabin and resort! We stayed in The Teal Cabin and it was wonderful! It was clean and had everything we needed.
We also thought the resort itself was very clean and nice! Our kids loved the bounce pillow, basketball court, playing sand volleyball and badminton, and the mini golf. The camp store was also nice, but only had the basics. We wished they would have had fishing pole rentals and live bait.
Also, we did wish that Lake Logan was more easily accessible and had nicer access. You have to hike a gravel trail to get to where there is a small dock and kayaks. The hike there isn’t so bad, but you have to hike a steep hill to get back. The dock should definitely be nicer and bigger in our opinion. And, it would be nice if the area you enter the water in when you kayak was cleaned up some and bigger. It would be nice if it was better so people would actually fish off of it and maybe even swim off of it.
That being said, we did rent kayaks which was a nice experience overall and affordable. It was $12 per kayak per hour. We kayaked to the public beach on the lake, swam there, and kayaked back. It is a nice, clean lake.
My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The location is awesome-minutes to the main hikes in one direction, and minutes to town in the other direction. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed, firewood was available for delivery, and the owner was readily accessible. The campground resort offered lots of activities and there was a small shop for basic needs. It was well lit, so even though it was a mother/daughter trip, we felt safe at night. There was a bounce pillow, basketball, mini golf, a community fire pit with swings, etc. it really was 5 stars across the board except for one issue, and unfortunately for us it was a big one. The smell around our cabin was foul. I don’t know what it was, but it was similar to a strong propane smell. (It wasn’t propane, just similar.) It was very localized, but came and went. It got so smelly inside our cabin we were thankful it was time to check out. (Check out was a breeze, by the way). I didn’t mention this to the staff because we were out hiking all day every day, but I am certain that if we had, they’d have been quick to handle it. Overall I’d recommend staying here.
Cabin was wonderful!! It has everything you need to cook meals and stay comfortable during your stay: towels, soaps, sheets, blankets, pots, pans, etc. your own private fire pit was perfect for the kids for roasting marshmallows and eating meals at your picnic table. Great location, only 15min drive to all the great hikes in the area!! We’ll be back!
Great location, very helpful management that was on call and available to us. Very convenient for the available hiking parks in the area, and still close enough in the other direction for pretty much everything the city offers.
Modern amenities, rustic feeling cabin, but obviously brand new. :-)
