Well appointed Chickamauga Lake Fishermans lodge, with room for the whole family

Newly renovated house designed with the fisherman in mind. Well-appointed kitchen, plenty of room to relax in the spacious great room with its stacked stone fireplace and 55" television, in the cozy downstairs sitting room, or around the fire pit on the huge deck. Four bedrooms comfortably sleep 6 - 8, and there are 2 spacious bathrooms. This house is 1 mile from summer pool boat ramp and minutes from several others, with the Dayton boat dock being a 12-15 minute drive. Secure, safe location with excellent parking! Plenty of room to turn your boat around, and 3 indoor parking bays with great lighting, drying fans, line spoolers, etc.

Birchwood House

My wife and I stayed with our 4 adult kids. We were visiting family nearby, so didnt use the outside garage. The house had plenty of space for everyone and a big open living area. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet & Quaint Getaway

We needed a getaway from New York & boy did this house deliver. We spent our week visiting local attractions, hanging around the house & enjoying the Tennessee vibe. Easy check in process, communication with property owners, close enough to town for gas/groceries/etc. Loved the entire look & feel of the home. Cozy & modern farmhouse/fisherman cave was gorgeous! Basically if you’re reading this, just book it 👍

Room for improvement

Great location, parking/unloading at lodge awkward, no instructions to operate tv so watching sweet 16 very stressful, no regular coffee pot, (Kurig-only brought regular coffee/filters, grill not only didn’t work but nastiest I’ve ever seen(had to cook $100 steaks in oven) couldn’t contact host, rat turds all in my $100k bass boat parked in garage. Although perfect location for me, doubt I’ll be back.

Good Bad Meh

Good: Plenty of room inside and out. Decor was nice. Plenty of utensils and plates and stuff like that. Plenty of towels. Had 4 girls there and stayed a week and never ran out of towels. Great place to entertain family and friends. Allowed us to check out a little later than the 10am checkout time. Owner was very responsive to our request. Bad: Oven didn’t work and was a big deal since we had planned to host a family thanksgiving. Water in shower was at best luke warm. There was a little mold in the freezer. Meh: (stuff clearly shown on the pictures but didn’t realize we wouldn’t like.) Everything was upstairs or down stairs. Was little harder than we expected. Only one bathroom on main floor so everyone had to use the master suite bathroom. Beds not very comfortable.

Great location and plenty of room!

Stayed here with 3 other buddies, two boats and two trucks. The garage is big enough to hold the 2 boats inside, which is very rare! The house has plenty of beds for everyone, though you do share rooms so couples may want to consider that. It is located in an area that makes most of the lake accessible though the many boat ramps and you can go just about anywhere you want to fish within a 20 minute drive. When the lake rebounds, as the fishing has been less than stellar, we'll be back to this location for sure.

Great place to stay!

We got married at Howe farms and had most of our bridal party stay here with us! The property had tons of charm. It was very cleanly and we loved that it was off the beaten path but still close to everything! We loved the openness of the upstairs. I would definitely stay here again!

Fishing Tournament

This was the best place to stay for our son’s out of town high school fishing tournament! Central location, giant bays for two boats, quiet and plenty room! Will definitely be back!

Great fishing base camp

Great owner!! Great communication. Clean place, awesome barn multiple boat ramps with in a couple miles. Great fishing on Chickamauga.

Simply Amazing!

Our first time down at Lake Chickamauga and let’s just say we will be back as much as possible. Not only was the fishing on point but this home is absolutely stunning! We were pleased with the quality of the property, the shop building and all of the amazing features this home offers. We will definitely be booking multiple times with David for our Birchwood stays!

Ideal stay for fishing

The layout of the property and garages to keep your boat safe, dry, and secure make this stay priceless. The home offers the back deck shaded in the afternoon, perfect to relax after a day of fishing in the sun.

Great Value and Location - Perfect for Fisherman Boat storage!!

My family and I stayed at this property during Spring Break. My husband and dad fished and my mom, myself, and son had plenty of nearby activities to keep us occupied in Chattanooga. Great boat storage and plenty of room. David was very responsive and even willing to assist with shipping a few things we accidentally left behind after checking out. Nice open floor plan for hanging out after a long day out and about. It was very cold so we did not sit on the porch or use the fire pit, but that would be perfect for a family staying there when it is a bit warmer.

Perfect for our needs!

We recently stayed at this rental for 4 nights in Dayton with our family of 8. There was ample room for all of us! We loved the space, decor, location, and the cleanliness! The host was so prompt to help us with an issue we had with our understanding of the thermostat. We will definitely look for this property if we return to Dayton!

Short vacation

This property was awesome for us to stay after our wedding. It’s definitely a great option if you have a boat, helps to keep it clean and dry in the barn. Very thankful for our host and everything he did for us during our stay!
