Relax with the whole family in this peaceful private cabin 198 acres of private land for hiking and enjoying nature. Close to hocking hills. 40 acres can be used for gun hunting. 150 acres of private land can be used for bow hunting. $200 will be charged for each group for each day that you actually hunt.. Close to Wayne national forest for additional hunting.

Great place to stay

Loved being able to have our dogss with us! The host left treats for us and the dogs, was very responsive messages and questons and the property had everything we needed for our stay. We will be back!

Absolutely Perfect!

The cabin was just as perfect as it can be. We had no complaints or issues. It was home alway from home. Dave made sure we had his number incase we needed anything. We ended up having a huge snow storm come through and Dave and his wife made sure we knew we could stay longer if we needed. If you are booking for hunting, this is the place. Make sure you take Dave up on his offer on his land. You won’t regret. We didn’t leave empty handed. Thank you Dave!!

The cabin was nice inside. The outside area could use some mowing, weeding and cleanup. The location was remote and very quiet.

Great for solitude

It was so nice to be off the beaten path! We loved the solitude and ability to walk out the back door and go hiking with the pups. We also enjoyed the fact they had a shooting range set up that we were able to enjoy. A very relaxing trip. Just what we needed.

Our kids loved it!!! Got them away from the electronics. Highly recommend. Nice, quiet area away from the town but not far from the parks.

Wonderful family getaway.

The cabin and property were perfect !!! Was just what my family needed. Nothing I would change about it, having central air conditioning was awesome after long hikes in the woods.

Great Setting

Cabin trip

My wife, two kids, me, and our dog spent about 4 days at the cabin we rented, and we all had a great time. The cabin and the surroundings were great, as was the owner. We would definitely return in the future.

We absolutely loved this little cabin. It was just what we were looking for, a little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was cozy, and had everything we needed. They even allowed us to check in a little earlier when we thought the weather was not going to cooperate with our plans. It was clean, had a huge selection of movies to pick from, CD player for some music, it was just great.

Gorgeous time

From the moment we entered the cabin, we immediately knew that we made the right choice. The cabin was very clean. Also the property it self is very interesting (almost 200 care). There is even a beautiful waterfall. The owner, David, gave me a tour to his oil pump and explained the ins and outs. That was very nice. I definitely would come back.

Perfect place to get away

We cannot recommend this place enough. They take really good care of this property and it’s the little details that make it worth it. Dog friendly, great shower, garden, and prepared firewood made our stay a dream land of memories. It’s out of the way with no internet access. There are dvds, cds, satellite tv, old school vhs tapes, and records. A quiet place with a great view of the stars. We would like to go back.

Dave and I love the outdoors so this is a perfect property for us. We have 2 married kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats and 40,000 honey bees. So if you see one, don't smash it. Dave has them all named. We love to fish, read, hike, . Dave grew up in toledo and I grew up in Michigan. Don't worry, I am a buckeye fan. Dave was in the army so we lived in Indiana, Boston, Korea and New York.

Why they chose this property

This property used to be a hunting preserve, so you may notice jurassic size fences around it. We opened up the gates and let in the natives. We have seen deer, turkey, mink, foxes, raccoons, skunks rabbits and squirrels. Dave will go out to hunt but I think he enjoys watching the animals more

What makes this property unique

We have a creek babbling through, the property and a waterful that is nice after a spring rain. It also looks incredible when it is frozen,
. If you would like to see it, let us know and we can provide walking directions. At night, it is country dark and the stars are amazing. There is an app to download that show the constellations if you are interested.
