We LOVED our stay at the cave house. The owner made sure every detail was covered. Grilling outside under the cave, fishing off the dock, kayaking, watching the projector outside under the fire, the experience was wonderful. Not to mention, the popcorn machine and all the amenities and comfort of home. No sooner had we departed than my son asked when we were coming back, we truly enjoyed the privacy and setting of this place. Thank you so much for hosting hopefully we can retune soon!!
If you are looking for a unique, quiet escape this is your place. The cave is magical and very private, allowing you and your loved one or friends the opportunity to enjoy the views. The waterfall on the property is gorgeous. Take advantage of the kayaks and all the other amenities that are available at the cabin. They have all cooking utensils you will need, and you will not want to leave! The view outside the cave overlooking the lake is spectacular. You won't regret it!!
It was a relaxing weekend in a unique setting. We loved the fire pit in the cave each evening & coffee in the morning overlooking the lake. The lake pool was a little low to swim in front of the house this time of year, but we were able to paddle out to the main lake in the kayaks provided.
This place is a hidden gem! It was truly breathtaking. We live locally and just wanted a couple of nights away for our anniversary, kid free. It was everything we hoped for. We did end up having to leave early due to having a sick child but we enjoyed every minute we spent there.
This was such a magical experience!! I surprised my husband with this trip for his birthday, and we loved every second of our stay here. We had so much fun kayaking, sitting by the waterfalls, and roasting hot dogs on an open fire. I’ve never seen my husband so happy and excited to be anywhere. I cannot express how perfect this place is, and would highly recommend it to anyone!
My daughter graduated locally on the 21st and my son was turning 18. Cards and gifts were given to each... Thanks... It was a wonderful way to spend Christmas... in a cave, just like the first Christmas. We had a great family time. House and Lions Den were fun and comfortable, wifi was fast. Plenty to do. Enjoyed the moon rises and sets over the cave and lake, deer drinking from the lake in the morning and even raging waterfalls on a rainy day. Perfect! A very memorable time with the family at a rare, beautiful, and unique location. Priceless Thanks again
The cave was a unique way to spend my wife's birthday. The host was excellent. The stay was amazing, and one we will long remember.
This is not for someone who has problems with stairs.
If you are looking for a quiet getaway to something different, this is a good as it gets.
One in a million location. We had such a great experience and there was so much to do what with the cave, the lake and the waterfalls all right there.
The amenities were great, the house was clean, internet worked and sleeping arrangements were comfortable for two adults and two young kids.
With the price to rent the cabin, our standard of what five stars means is higher than what it would be normally. It was strange finding remnants of previous Tennant's in random locations around the place, like old drinks in the coolers and bottles of shampoo and body wash scattered around. The cabin shower was a disappointment. The one side wouldn't turn on, and the gravity falls side was a hazard. Any minor adjustment and it would come crashing down, swing towards your head. The drain did not work very well, so we had to stagger showers hours apart as to not overflow. The two outdoor showers would be a more realistic option in warmer weather, but it was not the case for us.
Overall, it is a rare opportunity to stay in a place like this. It is so beautiful and unique. We had a blast and are so grateful to the host.
My wife and I had such an amazing few days at the cave. Like others have said in reviews, there is something really special about this place and we are so fortunate to have been able to spend time here. We hated so much to have to leave! We spent a lot of time kayaking, making fires, grilling out and just hanging out listening to music under the cave. This was truly worth every cent and we can't wait to come back again!
We loved being able to experience the cave, waterfall, and incredible sunsets. It really is a magical location to escape for a few days. We went during the winter and didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted to because of the elements but the comfy couches, big screen tvs and great views made the entire stay so relaxing and one of a kind.
I can’t put into words the feeling that this place gives me. It just amazing! From the waterfalls, to the views, the fascinating way that the cabin is built incorporating the cave rock, the interesting use(s) of the cave overhang, so cool! It’s like nowhere I’ve every been. There are neighbors, but it’s so private! While I’m in the cabin/cave it’s like nothing else exists. There’s just so much to see on this property. It rained while we were there and it was so beautiful. The constant dripping on the cabin from the trees and cave was so serene. I didn’t want to leave! Absolutely unforgettable. Also, the linens, pillows, and towels were so soft and smelled so good! Thanks again! This place is definitely special and one of a kind!

Beautiful property. For the cost of the stay, I expected the property to be cleaner.
The cabin and outside area is unique. For the price of the stay, I expected the site to be cleaner. It could be a stunning place to relax and take in the beauty of the lake, but was disappointed in the up-keep of the place.
Great secluded unique property. Communication with owner/manager was great. Place was clean and everything we needed we had access to. Will be back in the future!
