Last minute switch

Unfortunately some renters damaged this rental and the owners were busy fixing it but kindly made arrangements for us to stay in another place close by. Owners quick to contact and answer any questions. Place was per perfect! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend and hope to be back again. Thank you N &N

Totally adaquate

We spent 5 days here in early October and then 2 days on the following weekend. Host Nick was very accommodating, easy to contact. His place is immaculate, beds are very comfortable and the place is super clean. Great supermarket just a few minutes away. A longer walk to the subway but the buses do stop almost right outside on the main street. Only fault is the people upstairs can be noisy depending on who is staying there as Nick rents out the whole building so better to ask for the upper level if available.

Toronto

Great location for public transport ( we had a car for only 1 day to travel to the Niagara waterfalls), shops and restaurants, appartment fully equiped and comfortable, beds were made on arrival. Owner quick in responding to e-mails. We (5 adults) had a superb week.

A great place to stay, affordable, large, cozy, clean

We were staying for a vacation during August 5-12. We first got there and were very happy that it was so large but cozy. We had a great kitchen to be able to cook whatever we needed, as well as a grill in the back. We had my husband and I and 3 teenage boys. Our purpose was to see the Hockey Hall of Fame, but we saw a lot more. We had such close proximity to get into the city with the bus, subway, and train. Our neighbors were extremely nice, they went out of their way literally to show us where to go!! Nick was awesome we had minor wifi problems that we talked to him about and he was right on top of it and fixed quickly. Nick really was very personable and wanted you to be comfortable during your stay. He goes really out of his way to do so. We were also in close proximity to the beach u could walk but we drove and its like 5min drive. We walked the boardwalk wh/ was so nice that Toronto is so dog friendly. the only issue for us was that the beds are full size and we are too big to fit together on a full size bed. but we slept on this couch together one side each way. The couch was very soft and comfortable. Each kid had a room to stretch out. lol. We would definitely stay here again. The price was really affordable to where the location is just awesome to everything. groceries, restaurants, and downtown Toronto and the beach. We loved it!! Thank You Nick!!!!! Great rental, owner easy to contact, centrally located. Slight issue with smoke alarm & would have been nice to have washcloths but space was good & nice to be able to cook breakfast & some dinners as well as do laundry while there. Would definitely recommend!

Super indico a casa!!!

Eu escolhi a casa pelas fotos e confiei no comentário das pessoas que já haviam se hospedado na casa. Eu e minha família amamos a casa.

Nice place, great location...

We stayed for a week in early August 2016. The apartment was clean, modern, and comfortable, especially the beds. There was adequate off-street parking. The neighborhood is about 4-5 miles away from the central downtown area, easily accessed by public transit (more on that below). Woodbine Beach was also only a mile or so away. The best part about this property was how easily we got around the entire city. The Gerrard-Main bus stops literally right across the street from the house and runs every 20 minutes. It is a three-minute bus ride to the Main Street subway station (I walked it a couple times). From there you can get to the lake front, the Air Canada Center, the Rogers Center, Ripley’s Aquarium, CN Tower, Eaton Centre, Dundas Square, The Royal Ontario Museum, and Casa Loma. We also went to the Ontario Science center, but that required transferring to a bus (it was no big deal). The subway system is easy to figure out, and all necessary routes are easily acquired via the TTA trip planner on their website. My point in saying all this is that, while the apartment is a few miles out of downtown, it did not feel like we were out in the boonies; we felt connected to the city center. The neighborhood was very nice. We tried to assess the neighborhood via Google Earth street view, but that did not do it justice as it was much nicer than we expected. It is on a gentrifying street with well-kept homes. It was safe and pleasant. There is a small convenience market around the corner. There is a Loblaw’s grocery, a Tim Horton’s, and a McDonald’s a few blocks away on Victoria Park Ave. There are many more businesses just a bit further to the north on Danforth, including a bank and currency exchange. There are many places to eat, drink, and shop within walking distance on Kensington Avenue to the south. Nick and his wife were gracious hosts and was available to us via text or phone. We would surely stay there again.

Great hosts!

We stayed in this 3 bedroom suite for 3 weeks - a family with 2 young kids (a toddler and baby) - and the hosts, Nick and Nena, were the best hosts anyone could ask for. Any requests (eg. cot, high chair) were arranged for without question and contact via email or phone (before and during stay) were promptly addressed and very helpful. The home itself was accurate to its description and was equipped with everything that you would need. We found the property clean and, whilst a bit old, was well maintained. One of the best things about the place was the temperature regulation - the home was ALWAYS at a comfortable temperature despite how hot/cold it was outside. The air conditioning at this time of year was excellent and we were well pleased to come home to a comfortable place at the end of the day. Other highlights include: - Close to large supermarkets, all in walking distance - Close to public transport and accessible (we had a double pram!) - Key-less entry (enter with a code so could check in at any time and didn't have to worry about losing a key when we went out) Overall, excellent customer service and I would recommend to a friend or relative. Thanks again, Nick and Nena! Linh and Simon (Western Australia)

A great place to call home!

I had a great stay at Nick's 3-bedroom apartment. The apartment is spacious, very clean, all furniture modern, and the place is well equipped and well-maintained. There is also laundry machine and dryer in the basement. So basically everything you need is there, just bring in your suitcase. Nick is a very good host and answered all my questions promptly. This is not my first time at Nick's, I keep coming back whenever I am in Toronto because the places he rents out are great and well-maintained. So I highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to call home away from home. Thank you Nick for everything.

Perfect Vacation

We had 3 whole weeks at Nick and I must say it was super nice. We were two girls who were planning a city break, and are encountered by chance at the apartment of Nick. Even the booking inquiry was great. We were promptly answered every question. Also on site, our host was extremely helpful. The apartment itself was perfectly adequate for 2. It was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood was great. In the garden we had every night visit from raccoons, squirrels and the neighbor's cat. So you imagine a holiday. Thanks again to Nick and we would always like to come back to him.

Ferienwohnung Toronto

Schade!

Great apartment!

We stayed there for a week and it was just amazing! Because we had 7 adults we rent the 3 bedroom suite and also studio apartment, they are both clean and comfortable. The location is little bit far from downtown but if it's not in winter should be okay. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Thank you for everything, we had a great time there!

Fantastic service - even when we had to cancel

I had booked the three-bedroom unit for a one-week stay in August, 2013 - but ended up having to cancel our vacation due to illness. When that happened, Nick completely and promptly refunded our entire deposit. I also want to note that throughout the booking process, Nick was prompt and thorough. He is clearly a thoughtful host who knows how to treat potential guests. Nick has been a pleasure to work with, and I'm still hopeful we'll get to stay in his lovely house some time in the future. Thanks, Nick! Jenny

Fantastic Family Apartment - everything you need

This is a great apartment and we loved our stay here with our three kids. The apartment is within easy walk of a train or bus to the city; the supermarket and all you need is within an easy 5-10 minutes walk, plus walking 10 - 30 minutes will take you through two of the coolest shopping areas, and to the lake front / board walk, plus funky trams to the city. Wonderful! Parking right out front (off street). The apartment has everything you need to self-cater and relax with lots of room for all to spread out and have your own space. Nick is a fantastic host, excellent communication, easy transactions, great instructions and plenty of written advice on what to see and do. We highly recommend you stay at Nick's place!

Great place to stay in Toronto

This was a great place to stay in Toronto! The apartment looks like the pictures. Everything was clean. Mark, the tenant who lives downstairs, greeted us warmly and was available to answer any questions. Nick was very accommodating, answering phone calls and emails promptly. He let us check in earlier than our original arrival time. The apartment is in a really nice neighborhood-walking distance to grocery stores, coffee shops, stores, and restaurants. It's also a short walk to public transportation to get into the city. This was a fabulous place for 2 of us couples to stay in and to relax from our busy lives.

Best place to stay in Toronto

For me, it's the best place to stay in Toronto. A clean, quiet, and comfortable house. close to the subway, close to the beach and with all what you need to feel at home. In particular, Nicks service to help in each situation ( From christmas tree, to make a turky) is the best. Thank's for the time in Toronto

Great apartment

This is a very nice, bright, clean and spacious holiday apartment. The whole apartment is equipped with everything you might need. There is nothing you would miss. I came over here from Germany and used the apartment as a short term accomodation to find a suitable long term accomodation for myself. The apartment is only minutes away from public transit, both TTC and GoTrain. You can be downtown within 20 minutes, taking TTC. Also all kind of shops are only a 5 minute walk away. It is a quiet area. No loud noises from the city at night. You are also allowed to bring you dog to the apartment. Nick, my parents are already thinking about getting a holiday apartment, when they come to Toronto to visit my. So we might come back to you. Thank you very much for you generosity and comprehension. Kind regards, Henny

AMAZING Place

I was in the studio. It's an amazing place, very secured, very clean... Everything you can need is there. Instantly you feel at home Everything is nearby: 4 huge grocery stores, 2 tramway lines, a bus stop just outside... The neighborhood is really friendly and QUIET. No cars running mad, streets are very clean. I wish I never leave because for 3 months, it was really my home... If you have a place to rent in TO, stop thinking, it's the RIGHT ONE!

Amazing apartment in pleasant neighborhood!

We had a fantastic stay at Nick's apartment! Nick was really easy to work with. He always gave me fast and great e-mail answers and he really took the time to explain and give extra customer service. As it was my first time renting though HomeAway I was a little nervous in the beginning. But Nick seemed so honest and genuine that he calmed me down and made me feel good about renting via HomeAway! We didn't even need to send him a security deposit! On arrival we payed Nick the balance of cash and he didn't even want all the money that we owed him!! Also he gave us good advice how to take a trip to Niagara Falls. Nick was really fantastic, our flight back was scheduled to 7.30 PM and check out time was actually 11.00 AM.. But Nick let us check out whenever we wanted to! That's really good service! I could go on writing this entire review only about Nick's hospitality.. The apartment is in a lovely neighborhood, very close to Shoppers World and Loblaws that are great places for grocery shopping. We visited during Halloween and it was very pleasant how all the houses on Pickering Street decorated their houses. Our neighbor had the best Halloween decorations and attractions! Even grown adults were scared of them! =) I also loved the eternal black squirrels what ran over the houses' yards! The unit is close to the streetcar which gives you a nice view when going towards the City. The Go Train, that is a faster option, is also nearby. The subway isn't either far away and I found the subway WAY faster and more efficient than the subway in my hometown, Stockholm, Sweden. The code lock to our door worked perfectly and was a great choice instead of keys! Nick had a lot of informative pamphlets of attractions and what else to do in and around Toronto and he also provided great suggestions! We didn't even have to go down to Mark and Serge (the guys downstairs) in any other matter than to say hello because everything in the apartment worked so good. Once, a fuse must have blown so the electric outlet didn't work but Nick provided immediate assistance giving us detailed instructions so we could easily and quickly fix it ourselves! If I ever come back to Toronto Nick's place is the only for me! You wont be disappointed! The price is also a true bargain for an apartment of this quality! Thanks Nick for making our stay a fantastic one! Best, Mikael

Great stay in Toronto

We really enjoyed our stay in this studio. It was bigger than we would have imagined. It's a great place to visit Toronto, all you need is near. We recommend it. All was done to make us feel good. Next time we will go back there. Thanks for all Nick. It would have been great to meet you in person, but life decided otherwise, may be next time. Pass on a big hello to Mark and Serge.

Group of 5 German, stayed for five weeks!

We stayed for five weeks in Toronto to go to the Language School and found this really great apartment on the internet. The whole place was very clean when we arrived, the living room is quite big and the kitchen has a real good equipment. But the best thing was that everyone around was really helpful and nice!!!! We really enjoyed our time there and can recommend the apartment for families as well as for a group of young people like we are! Thanks Nick for a great time and the beer on our last day! ;-)

Great Place

I'd stay here again! My husband and I were travelling with 5 kids and the suite had plenty of room. It was clean and in great shape. It was very close to the GoTrain which was a bonus because we did not have to drive downtown and pay for parking etc. Great place!!

Why they chose this property

This property is clean, functional and affordable. If you want a good base serviced well by public transit but don't want to be smack in the middle of downtown, you would have picked the right place.
