Cozy

My wife and I found the rental very well equipped and very clean and cozy. The artwork within the rental was way beyond standard and tasteful. The one bedroom with the single window had room darkening cellular shade and made it very dark which is great for a solid night sleep. I do wish it was a queen bed instead of a full size, but we managed. The tv selection for entertainment was good and better than most. Overall, highly recommended. La our guest was very kind and recommended different places to check out and she's certainly an avid gardener although it was early in the season to see much but some things were starting to pop out. My wife loves to garden so there was a good connection there.

Cute & Cozy

We loved our experience at Murphy's Place! We came up here for a Birthday/Valentine's Day weekend vacation, and we stayed busy the whole time! There is so much to do around the VRBO. Lots of wineries, breweries, shopping, and more!!! Charlottesville is a quick 20 mins away or so and Wintergreen Resort is about the same, but the opposite direction. We cannot wait to stay here again in the near future!! Big thanks to the hosts for making us feel comfortable and at home!

Great place

We stayed here to go skiing in Wintergreen. The property was perfect for what we needed. Everything is updated and very clean. It is an easy 30 min drive to get to the resort if you are going skiing. There are plenty of places to eat/drink in the area. If we do another weekend trip, I will be booking this again.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We chose Murphy’s Place for a girls’ getaway. It is adorable, well appointed, and conveniently situated for access to Wintergreen, breweries and wineries. La was a welcoming host. The views are spectacular. We will be back!

Afton Mountain Gem

My wife and I stayed here overnight following a New Years Eve gathering at Veritas Winery. With only a 6-minute drive and minimal traffic, it was very easy navigating to and from the winery for our event. The unit was very clean and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the host was thoughtful and kind. We have discovered a lovely gem in the Virginia wine country, and we look very forward to our next stay here!

Beautiful apartment in a great location for tastings

This isn't a place that was an afterthought - everything seems very intentional. The layout is great. Not huge but enough space with 2 bedrooms and an efficient kitchenette. The bathroom is the showstopper with that shower. Heavenly. The apartment is connected to the hosts house, but I never heard any noise. The property is remote - in the woods with goats but so close to 151 and several wineries. Per spot. We will be back!

Comfortable apartment

This was a very comfortable apartment to stay for a wedding weekend! Close to Waynesboro and Crozet. Nice little kitchen, bathrooms and comfortable beds. Host La was very nice and helped us get into the apartment when we checked in late.

We chose this place because of the location but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and newness when we arrived. It is centrally located to lots of breweries and vineyards and hiking trails. We really enjoyed our stay!

Best Hosts Ever

Murphys Place has everything you need for your stay plus a nice outdoor pool area! The hosts are on site and the friendliest people we have ever encountered using VRBO! La gave us recommendations for things to see in the area that we would not have found ourselves. We have stayed here twice and both times were great!

Welcoming retreat

La and Murphy are wonderful hosts. They were full of hospitality yet we had a great apartment to ourselves. They let us stay longer to use the pool with a water slide our daughter loved. Trampoline for kids as well and goats!

Terrific Home

The property is exactly as described. It is located in a a quiet location and offers lots of things on site to do which is extra special if you have kids (pool, volleyball, basketball, goats). We look forward to returning next year!

Quaint little escape

This place is such a cute place and fun for kids. The pool was a blast and super clean. They let my daughter feed the goats and she just had a blast. The space was very clean and enjoyable. The hosts were so very friendly and welcoming we loved our stay here while we were going to a wedding nearby.
