Our family enjoyed our stay at the Eggo house. The Eggo house is quirky, unique and cute, plenty of room for a large group. We would definitely stay again
The rental is very nice, exactly like the picture. Bathrooms were a little smaller than we expected but the beds were really comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again.
We had a great time at the round cabin. The layout worked great for us with 2bds and 2 1/2 baths for both floors. The view was great, and we saw multiple bears while we were there! We highly recommend the property, and we will book it again in the future!
Property is just like it is listed in VRBO. Thank you for being responsive and helpful with a small glitch with the hot tub Robert. We enjoyed this quick weekend get away in the Smokies!
This house may look dated for some's taste but when we arrived it was clean and smelled great. The house is cozy and I love how it was decorated. The rooms were bigger than it looked. It has new appliances that all worked great. The AC was wonderful. The view is good. We played pool, games, we colored, we relaxed in the hot tub. We grilled out. My favorite, the record player was used everyday. The beds are very comfortable. It has apple TV's, we watched movies. This house was prefect for us and I would recommend it. We had a wonderful time and the host were available very quickly if I needed him. Thank you Robert for sharing your home with my family!
The property was close to how it was described. However, there were several things that need attention:
The driveway was really deteriorating
There were many light bulbs burnt out
Housekeeping was lacking: we found food and other items on the carpet; there was soap residue in bathrooms; stains in the carpet
The TV remotes were either broken or missing
The fan remote was missing
The pool sticks were broken (only one was usable)
The shower on/off handles were very difficult to work
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. The pool table and video game (PacMan) were a big hit with our grandsons who are 9 and 11 years old.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
it is a very quaint house. the road getting up there was fun. I don't recommend doing it in a 15 passenger van. We did it, barely. It is not the biggest house but the space is used well and we had plenty of room
The owner was very communicative. The property was a terrific layout and great for our group. The hot tub was nice and the pool table got a lot of use. Thank you, Robert, for helping us have a great trip!
Nice rental for shooting pool, games and Bears! We saw a bear on the way to cabin.

Travel, and comfort, has always been a priority to our family. We're here to make your stay the best possible and hope you join us now, and in the future.
Why they chose this property
We absolutely love Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain area. I traveled to this area as a child with my aunt and cousin, and I remember being in downtown Gatlinburg and looking up at the houses on the mountain totally in awe. Being from Florida, and always living on land completely flat as far as the eye could see, the memory of being in the mountains of Tennessee on that trip never left me. I ventured to Gatlinburg several more times growing up, and after Tara and I married, we traveled here on a couple's trip, always staying downtown. After bringing our kids up during a longer than planned Christmas Break in 2020/2021 because of an extra week at home, we decided we wanted to have a permanent place for ourselves to enjoy. In the same year, we bought two homes near each other, one for us to use as a family home when in the area (a 4 bedroom), and one to use for friends (a 2 bedroom).
What makes this property unique
This house is a special place for us. Tara specifically fell in love with the "round house," because it reminded her of her grandmother's home growing up. Her grandmother lived in a house that was round, and was unique in its floor plan. We love that there are windows all around to keep the house bright and open. The location is also unique and wasn't something we even expected when we decided to buy the home: it's on the very top road on this part of the mountain with no cut through traffic. There truly might only be 1-2 cars that drive by per day depending on the time of year, with no more than usually a hand full, if that. It's so close to downtown, but truly secluded, even though there are neighbors around. We also love that we see a ton of bears at the house. There is a large preserve behind the house, so they have pretty free roam of this area. One day we counted 14 in one evening. We also absolutely love the view. Many homes, even though they are on the mountain, have no view of the surrounding mountains. This house definitely does, and I'm thankful the view is even better in real life than photos can convey. It's usually a pleasant surprise to guests that the mountains are so beautiful from the house, and look better in person than the pictures project.
