About this property

no swimming or motorized boats in the lake. We allow dogs. A $100 pet fee must be paid before arriving at the location. each home has a ring door bell camera, if you bring a pet without paying the fee it will increase to $250. Thank you for understanding!

Imagine waking up to water views right out your window! The oversized back deck is literally at the water. The birds are chirping, the geese are swimming by and your vacation has begun!

Lake Kathy is a small lake in a community of some rentals and some home owners. No motorized boats.

Everything in this home from the studs out is brand new! Opened February 2022. This home is in a private community about 30 minutes south of Chattanooga super easy access to i-75! Two bedrooms and one bath. The spare bedroom has a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and a twin on top. Washer and dryer in the home.

Great walkable community. You literally can sit with your legs hanging off the back deck and fish. We have three more homes in this community. One across the street and two a few doors down. So it's great if you have a group of people as well! Let me know if you have any questions!

Girlfriends Getaway!

We had such a sweet visit! The cabin was so serene and peaceful! The views of the water as the sun rose each morning were amazing! The geese were a little scary, but we enjoyed watching them!

Cute cozy cabin

Such a cute cabin. Perfect getaway for my husband and I. We enjoyed our stay. Short drive to Dalton, Ringgold and Chattanooga. Would definitely book again.

Beautifully updated lakeside cottage.

Less than 10miles from downtown Dalton on a private lake Kathy. The inside of the property is amazing and the back deck/dock makes fishing easy and super convenient. I wish there was a paddle boat or canoe available for the guest, that would icing on the cake.

Delightful stay

Close to Varnell Springs and Cohutta. There were lovely morning views over the lake, lots of birds, and fishing off the dock.

Just what we needed

The cabin is adorable and so well decorated. Very homey feel and comfy. The added bonus to fish from the deck, the kids loved. You have all basic necessities needed and the kids were super excited to find an added sweet treat on there pillows when they arrived. Very sweet touch added. Thank you for letting us stay. We enjoyed our family time.

Beautiful Place

This is a great, peaceful place to stay on the lake. It is a cute 2 bedroom cottage / cabin. It was very clean and loved all the décor that the owners have in it. Would defiantly recommend it as a place to get away to.

Great spot for the most part

Great spot to get away on the lake, the place was clean and tidy. My only complaints were there was only 2 full size bath towels that I could find, and there is a ring camera on the back door that was not mentioned on the listing. The back porch is what sold me on this spot, however, with the idea of lack of privacy (ring camera) we didn't spend much time out there.

Beautiful home

Such a beautiful home. My husband loved fishing off the back deck. My daughter loved the open space to run around. The home is very cozy and clean. We seen a lot of ducks and geese. I wish we could have stayed longer. Also great communication with the owner. We were very pleased.

Cozy Cottage nice Lakeside setting

We so enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Cottage, very relaxing, cozy and the cottage has an easy and pleasant floor plan and lighting is great. Out side dock is delightful overlooking Lake Kathy. My Wife and I usually visit a couple cabins every year, some are huge and fancy but never have we had any better stay. The owners communicate extremely well and make Lakeside a wonderful stay.

Perfect quiet getaway!

This was a perfect way to end our honeymoon! We were close enough to explore Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain, yet secluded enough for a few more days of peace and quiet.

Perfect peaceful retreat

The place was exactly as advertised. I wanted a small place near a lake or nature to simply be still and take a breath. It delivered perfectly. I will definitely keep this as a go to when I come back to visit family going forward.

Comfortable

We basically slept here during a weekend softball tournament but everything was comfortable and accommodating. All necessary amenities were available. We were able to enjoy an evening on the large deck right off the lake.

Could not have been better

We were looking for a place to stay, and be able to host some nearby relatives who don't have enough homes to host. Wow did this deliver. Yes its a quirky lake community with all kinds and ages of homes, but none of this detracted from the enjoyment that we got from the lake itself. Our guests caught many bluegill, a few smaller bass, and a huge 6# bass. We loved all the wildlife including a blue heron. It could not have been a more peaceful and spacious setting. I asked the host a tv setup question just to make sure our guests could catch a football game and got a quick helpful response. Beautifully decorated and nicely supplied. Definitely will make this the first place we look at for future visits.

Lake Kathy lake house

My wife and I were celebrating our 51st anniversary so we decided to visit the Chattanooga area. This lake house is peaceful and safe. The house is beautiful and very clean. We fed ducks and geese from the lake front deck and we’re able to relax as well as drive around the beautiful mountains. The location is a bit far from Chattanooga but ideal for relaxing, fishing, or hiking. This property is well maintained, super clean, with a very peaceful little lake. Relaxing stay

We spent a relaxing 2weeks at the lake house. My husband caught a lot of fish and I read several books. We went walking around the neighborhood every night and met several of the residents who were all friendly. Met Joe who was working on some of his other projects around the lake which are looking very nice. Clean and well kept cabin. Dollars store close by has a good selection of quick groceries, large Kroger in nearby Dalton has everything. Would stay again in one of Joe’s cabins.

A peaceful place

The cottage is very nice and well kept. There were only 3 of us with visits from a couple of family members near by. I recommend this place as long as they don't have to deal with the property manager. She was very rude and ruined our Friday trying to find information that she demanted and should have asked for before it she did not have it. I thought I had everything clear, from the start I mentioned a service dog, but she had not read previous emails and asked if we had an animal in the property. From the begging before making the reservation I asked about service animals and sent Vrbo the information. I did not know to attached it to the reservation and she did not go over the information before she called to ask that we leave or come up with official papers for the dog, and she even accused us of having another dog (by the camera on the door) not the one in the papers. Please look at the messages. It could have been handled another way. it really upset me.
