About the accommodation
Completely renovated in 2021, the studio (granny flat in a holiday home) with a small, fully equipped kitchenette and separate shower/WC is located high above Lake Maggiore in the village of Gordemo.

The covered seating area offers a marvellous view over Lake Maggiore as far as Italy. The small pool (in operation from around the end of May and shared with the upper flat) invites you to cool off and relax in summer. The surrounding area is characterised by vineyards, walls and small squares and offers a relaxing retreat at any time of day.

Access is via approx. 100 steps from the street. It is therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties or the elderly. A stair lift is available for the upper part. There is no private car park. However, there are plenty of parking spaces along Via Passaroro or on the village square.

Excursion options: Activities and experiences
- Overcome your fear of heights on the 728 planks of the "Ponte Tibetano" suspension bridge.
- Walk over the Roman bridge "Ponte dei Salti" and cool off in the Verzasca.
- Take in the view of the highest and lowest point in Switzerland on the local mountain "Sassariente".
- Relive the scene of the incredible bungee jump from "Goldeneye" on the Verzasca dam.
- Visit one of the beautiful festivals and markets in Ascona and Locarno.

Location description: Location and connections
Gordemo is located directly at the entrance to the Verzasca Valley. Shopping facilities are about ten minutes away by car in Tenero or Gordola. The entire Locarno-Ascona holiday and excursion region offers a wide range of sporting, cultural and culinary opportunities.
The nearest bus stop is about 20 minutes' walk away.
