We've rented on the Vineyard for several years, but usually with a larger group. We wanted a house that could comfortably accommodate 6 adults and this property was perfect. The check-in process was seamless, conducted by the owner, and everything was clean and in good working order. The kitchen was better appointed than many places we've stayed which makes eating in very convenient. It's also within walking distance of Vineyard Haven, so restaurants and shops are accessible without a car. I would definitely stay here again.
10/10 across the board! The house was perfect—beautiful, comfortable furnishings, room for our family of four to hang out together or fine our own quiet spaces. We were grateful for the air conditioning during our super hot stay! The house came with everything we could dream of, including toys and chairs for the beach. The location couldn't be better, at the quiet end of the street but only a 10- to 15-minute walk to Main Street in Vinehard Haven. And we had super easy driving access to busy State Road, avoiding much of the traffic. Tamara was an excellent host! She showed us around the property, was available to answer questions, and had the house well stocked and ready for us. Note that, like most Vineyard rentals, you will need to bring your own sheets, towels and supplies. 10/10 will definitely book again!
This was our second time renting this property for our yearly week on the island. The house is spacious and clean, and equip with anything we need for cooking or the beach! The owner is very responsive and we hope to return again next year!
Our family had a great time at this house. Very convenient for downtown Vineyard Haven, great space as advertised! Make sure to bring some of your own essentials (seasonings and things to keep food in - foil, containers, etc.), but you’ll be happy you chose this house no matter what!

Nice spacious house in need of professional cleaning and pest control
House is nice, spacious well stocked open layout in kitchen. Plenty of room. Good location. At end of dead end street which was quiet and calm. Nicely decorated beach themed and shells decor. We loved the outdoor shower and porch. Owner gave us a nice tour of the house and some good tips on where to go following path behind her house. We appreciated the late check out after the week we had. Problem we experienced were ants and bugs.
Within first day of being there we started seeing large black ants crawling on kitchen island. We notified owner and she did not call an exterminator or address it right away and asked me to just kill them if there were only a few or leave out garlic on island. Next day started seeing more. Within another day found another nest of ants in sliding glass door crawling around everywhere smaller in size . Owner did not take action to call an exterminator even then after I sent her pictures and videos but wanted to drop by in a few days to drop off bleach and spray around foundation. We found other bugs in bedroom and elsewhere we had to take matters into our own hands and buy a spray because it was getting ridiculous.
We loved the house but clearly the lack of pest control is a BIG issue and put an uncomfortable damper on our very expensive trip. Nice decorations but too many shells and decor all over furniture to the point where there is no space to put anything down and eliminating use of furniture from a practical standpoint. House missing some basic things , ice cream scoop other supplies. The owner did drop me off a cooler and scissors when I asked for time which was helpful.
Not having linens or towels included was a real inconvenience.
There were lots of cob webs around all over I don’t think the owner hires a professional cleaner and does it herself as the house was not clean enough and wasn’t ready when we arrived at 6 pm(our rental started at 3 pm) as she was still emptying trash and spraying Lysol to make it smell clean. This house could use a deep clean - it was neat and tidy - just not real clean at all. One thing that should be specified in ad is that owner wants guests to remove their shoes when coming in house and posts signs at door. We didn’t mind as we do that anyways at home but for others might be a problem. Security cameras onsite also not specified in the ad and one is facing the outdoor shower. Would be good to be transparent about that in advance.
We had a wonderful stay at this property last summer. The home is large and conveniently located close to town, approx 10 min walk.
Tamara was a wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming. I will book for another visit to Martha’s Vineyard
Clean and conveniently located minutes from downtown Vineyard Haven. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything your culinary heart desires. Quiet cul-de-sac location provides peace with easy access to main roads. We'll be going that this property is available during our next stay on the Vineyard.
We have rented many houses on the island for our annual family trip and we’d have to say this was probably the cleanest and most charming! There was plenty of space for our family of 6. The house was nice and cool and located just outside of town so we were able to ride or walk to town for coffees or ice cream every day! I especially loved the cozy front porch surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas and the gentle clanging of Tamara’s wind chimes!
My husband and our two friends stayed here for a week while we eloped and it was the perfect place. The master bedroom with the big mirror made it perfect to get ready before the wedding; the kitchen was wonderfully stocked with lots of gadgets (including a blender for yummy drinks!) Gorgeous property, gorgeous house, loved the outdoor shower!! Quaint and quiet, outside of town. Clean, big, central air, wonderful.
Our family had an amazing time at this place. The rooms are big the kitchen is fully stacked. The front porch is the highlight of this property. We used the tennis cours that are 10 mins walking distance from the house. This house is also walking distance to water and vineyard Haven town center.
Will try to repeat when we get a chance.
Overall, this property is Fantastic! This house was very clean and well decorated/designed. East flow living with central AC! Perfect location. Would defintely stay again and really enjoyed working with the owners.
Looks good in pictures, but BEWARE. Bring EVERYTHING, the basic supplies and amenities are lacking.
At the 4pm check-in, Tamara greeted me pleasantly and respectfully. However, I was taken aback that the lawn was overgrown (grass had seeded), her husband was inside the home repairing the washing machine, after which he began repairing a closet lock. Tamara gave me a tour of the property and requested that I water the garden daily (a completely inappropriate request). Eventually, the lawn was mowed (not edges so grass & weeds littered the steps to the front door), then a vehicle was left parked on the lawn obstructing a portion of the lawn (who does this?). Eventually, Tamara and her husband left the property at 5:40pm. It was very odd having them inside the home with us for the first one hour and 40 minutes while we were trying to get settled and oriented. Not to mention the fact that the home was not ready for the occupants. Awkward experience.
The home's cleanliness was a significant concern. What looked good at first glance, quickly revealed otherwise. A few kitchen handles were sticky, dust bunnies under sofas and beds, dead bugs randomly found in bedrooms and bathrooms. Supplies and amenities are sorely lacking. Basic things such as hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. Kitchen tools and supplies are random and unusable. Drawers of empty glass jars and plastic containers, but not one working spatula or grilling tools. The propane tank was empty after one use of the grill. The description is accurate about needing to bring your own linens and towels. What is unsettling is that you are expected to place your sheets and pillowcases on top of their sheets instead of having clean mattress covers and pillowcases. There are games and toys available, but every set is missing pieces and ready for the recycle bin. The cable situation is problematic, the service is bootlegged from the owner’s home and is unreliable. I suggest bringing your own Firestick or Roku. The owner also controls the temperature and it cannot be set lower than 72 without her overriding the system.
The description is a bit misleading. There is a playground in walking distance; however, it is on the property of a school. So it cannot be accessed while school is in session. It appears the owner is focused on finding ways to make money and charged me for a soiled rug.
I cannot recommend this property unless you are in a position to bring all your amenities to fully outfit the home, willing to do a deep cleaning, & be the on-site gardener. I regret this choice.
We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful Vineyard Haven home. The location is excellent — last house on a deadend road abutting preservation land, easy walk to town. We loved sitting on the wraparound porch in the mornings and evenings. The house is immaculate and filled with beautiful Vineyard themed art. Tamara is an excellent host. Thank you.
We are a family of 4 who stayed at this house. It was roomy and clean. Very comfortable home. It had all the we needed to relax. The patio/veranda was a plus to be able to enjoy the outside setting. Good place to have coffee and breakfast. Good location-It is close to everything. Minutes to downtown Vineyard Haven and the ferry. You can even walk to it. My husband rode his bike to Oak Bluffs too.
Tamara's house was spotlessly clean, for us very important. House is well outfitted with everything you need. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Would definitely stay there again.
This was our third summer vacationing on the Vineyard and we loved every moment of it in this beautiful house. It was immaculate, with a front porch to die for! Just close enough to town to bike or walk, and coming home to AC was a lovely plus. Tamara was attentive and responsive to all of our questions and needs. Loved loved loved the property, the amazing hydrangeas and the dead end quiet street.
We had a wonderful stay at Tamara’s home. The neighborhood was quiet and a nice relaxing place to end our busy Vineyard days. On the HomeAway map it looks like the house is right off of Main St. but it’s actually about a mile away. Walk to town wasn’t too bad, and driving to other parts of the island was easy. Very close to a grocery store and a great local fish market. The house is spacious and Tamara was easily accessible when we had questions. Our favorite part of the home was the amazing porch! It was a great place to start and end the day.

Lovely and spacious home close to town
My family has been vacationing in Martha's Vineyard for many years and has rented several homes. This home ranks at the top of the list with its close to town location, great wrap around porch, spacious rooms and large well stocked kitchen. My family felt very much at home. The owner met us upon our arrival and was readily available to answer any questions that we had. The air conditioning is a plus and added to the comfort of the home during our vacation. We were right around the corner from a local market which was an additional convenience. We definitely recommend this house for your next vacation. We will be renting the house again!

Beautiful home; Great location
Beautiful, spacious home with a great location. Removed enough from the hustle and bustle of Main Street but close enough to get to the town easily. It was hot when we were there and the air conditioning was key. Also used the washer and dryer which were so convenient to have. My daughter loved the outdoor shower too. Breakfast at Art's Cliff Diner is a must as is a trip to the Black Dog Bakery. We also brought in dinner from The Net Result which has delicious lobster, smoked tuna and lobster bisque. Only complaint was no paper towels, dish towels or napkins. Coming from CA it would have been nice to have those available rather than buying. Would definitely stay here again.

A home we keep returning to!
We feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to rent this beautiful home. The home is located on a private lot and it met all our expectations. The kitchen is a joy to cook in. The home is very comfortable and spacious. The owners are wonderful and always greet us with a warm welcome. We enjoyed hiking, coffee early in the am at Lambert's Cove, and farm fresh eggs, fruits, and vegetables. If you are looking for a home that feels like your own, this is the home to rent! We hope to come back again and again!

AWESOME! EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!
This was my first time traveling to Martha's Vineyard. My sister had been many times and had described the location as rustic. I was a little concerned because I am very meticulous about where I stay. The owner of this property is simply amazing. She answered all of my questions before booking and despite a late arrival was there to greet us personally. The listing description is very accurate regarding the location, layout, and amenities. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy a relaxing dinner and evening but close enough to walk, although a car was definitely helpful. The property was very clean and very well-maintained and was very, very comfortable for our family of six adults. I would definite recommend this property to friends and family. In fact, part of our family that did not stay with us was a bit jealous and asked for the owner's information so they could book next year. We loved the beaches, the pier in Oaks Bluff, as well as Nancy's Restaurant. We also dined at Linda Jane's. My husband and I will definitely return.

We will definitely return!!!!!!!
We have been renting homes in the summers and fall for over 20 years at Martha's Vineyard. By FAR this home is the BEST! It is in a perfect location. We can walk to town, to Lake Tashmoo where we keep our boat, and like that this is located at a dead end so we don't have traffic going by. The owners were so accommodating and made sure that we had what we needed. The home is immaculate and up to date. The furniture new and comfortable. The porch has great seating to enjoy while visiting or reading a book. Could not have asked for more. The owners became good friends. We will be back!
