Beautiful cabin, well stocked, clean, host was attentive to our needs, and beautiful sunsets from the balcony!! Three-hour drive to see General Sherman, world's largest tree in Sequoia National Park, was the highlight!! Icy driveway, be prepared!!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was so clean and well stocked with all the essentials . Based on other reviews I knew to make sure to bring all our food items as the closest food is like an hour away . There are a few general stores as your driving up the mountain but that is more for like snack items and drinks . We were well prepared. The hosts sent us things to do close to us which was very helpful. My kids are begging me to bring them back when it starts snowing .
We loved the home and it’s little touches. We spent most of the time at the Tulare River which is a short distance away. Overall everything was perfect.
This house was high up in the mountain and secluded. You can see stars for miles and hiking was very accessible. Many Sequoias are in the area and felt it was our own private area. The closest grocery store is an hour away. So you must plan ahead but it’s totally worth it. It’s like a Private retreat!
My family and I enjoyed staying at this property - the kids loved the uniqueness of having a boulder in the kitchen and being next to beautiful Sequoia’s! We had a lot of fun swimming in Tule River and seeing the views from Dome Rock - both about 40minute drives. Owners were very responsive and offered great suggestions for activities! We are happy we chose to stay here during our trip.
Look no further!! This is the ultimate getaway. If you are looking to be with nature and the trees and privacy this is THE home for you!! We had the most wonderful time and would love to go back. I would recommend this place to anyone. The hosts were so extremely kind and easy to communicate with, and the experience was just breathtaking.
We hiked to the Stagg tree and had lots of interaction with animals and the beauty of the place. The sequoia trees were so big, and the view was to die for.
The house and the amenities were more than you could ever need! Just BOOK it!!!
The property was just as described in the online photos. My family and I loved all the quirky details of the house like the Boulder in the middle of it and the cool beds and decorations. We were able to walk to the Stagg tree which was super cool and the sunsets every night were beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked so it made cooking easy. Last, but not least, Austin was really easy to work with and very responsive to all of our questions.
We had an amazing time and the location was perfect for exploring the Sequoia National Forest. We were a little concerned when we were driving to the property because the fire damage was so severe and the roads were quite steep. Being from Michigan, we are not used to driving in the mountains! However, once at the property, we settled right in. The neighbors were so friendly and helped us find the best hiking in the area. You could tell how much they love the giant trees. The house was so fun with the boulders inside and everything was comfortable and clean. We never even made it in to the National Park because there were so many Sequoia trees and hiking right around the house that we didn't need to make the drive. The fires took a toll on the area, but they are working hard to save the Giants and help nature survive!
Amazing house with great amenities, and you can't beat the view. The location is perfect, very quiet, and a great place to unwind from your daily routine. Plenty of hiking trails, and it’s really close to Stagg Tree, one of the largest trees in the world.
This house is simply gorgeous! It is clean, spacious, comfortable, gorgeous, and set in the magical Sequoia Forest. The hikes were great, and it all felt safe for myself and young adult daughter.
It does get a little hot in the late afternoon summer sun, but there is an air conditioner and fans, and it cools off quickly as night falls. And the sunsets from the deck are incredible!
The hosts are super quick and communicative, answering all my queries in a fast and compassionate manner.
We will definitely come back here next time, if it is available. We cannot recommend it enough, just know that it is in the mountains, with about 30 miles of winding, but safe and beautiful, roads. (We didn't know the California landscape ahead of time, but it seems safe for most any car.)
The description of this place is severely understated. It was clean, WELL stocked with anything you need to be comfortable away from home. Understandably, cell service is spotty but we are in the middle of the sequoias. Absolutely breathtaking. I'm impressed how everything in the boulderhome was clean and decorated nicely. I probably would not have packed so much if I knew how much was already there. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
