family reunion lodge

The lodge had a large area for gathering for evening games, and tables for eating and cards. We saw wildlife; a mama bear and her cubs who liked to come to visit the property in the evenings. ( easy viewing from the upper deck). we enjoyed the golf course . it is very scenic, but bring plenty of balls, as it is a narrow course! The greens are impeccably kept. The kids liked the pond and caught many salamanders over and over again. there was room to play outdoors a lot if the weather would have allowed, but the two ping pong tables came in handy on those days. The family loved their time there. Two things to note. Bring cash for all of the extras, as the owner does not except MCP/VISA for the golf or cart rentals. etc.... Second, note that all of the bedrooms are bunk beds, not separate queens and plan accordingly . We had an issue with a stove ignitor and the owners were receptive and came to fix immediately.

Great time

A bunch of my friends from around PA joined up for a weekend, ended up snowing and made the lodge 10x cooler. Had an amazing time, definitely would like to return.

A truly wonderful stay

The property is a paradise. There is so much to do on such a beautiful piece of land, it’s almost overwhelming. The owners were great as well and extremely organized and dedicated to their customer- they even mowed the golf courses again at 7 am just to make sure it was perfect before my group started playing. I cannot recommend this place enough! Also, cute little town nearby with everything you need (big Walmart in town). Rent this place, you won’t regret it!

Vacation for extended family

Excellent property for the many adults and children. The pond was the biggest hit, but the lodge had two comfortable, large rooms that accommodated eating, games and conversations. Because of the variety of families and singles, the configuration of the rooms was a challenge, but we found a way to make it work. Three years with 30+ on vacation and this was unanimously the best!

Our family retreat

We loved our stay. The children had a blast playing outside. The campfire experience was the best. The owners were excellent hosts. We'd definitely visit again.

Host profile image
We are Ken and Marion and God blessed us with this property in 2003. Both of us grew up in Lancaster county, PA but moved to Clinton County in 2013. We enjoy being outdoors, maintaining the grounds and sharing it with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

When our children were young we often came to the Pine Creek area for vacation so when the Lodge came up for sale we decided to purchase it. We were drawn to this property and fell in love with it because it is situated on top of a mountain with lots of streams, ponds, and wildlife which we can watched from the porch. It is so peaceful and quiet.

What makes this property unique

The Ponderosa Lodge was originally part of a private game reserve. It is secluded, has it's own airstrip, golf course, ATV trails, and is a great place to relax.
