Extremely quiet building within the heart of Wortley Village. Walking distance to a grocery store, boutiques, and great local restaurants. One free parking spot for guests staying in the suite. WIFI, a TV and a DVD player with plenty of DVDs. The only thing missing is you!
The space
Highly appointed designer-inspired space is relaxing and peaceful. All floor finishes in the unit are new, along with a new kitchen countertop, new backsplash, new kitchen sink, and faucet. The kitchen has a ceiling fan to keep you cool while cooking. The bathroom has a new re-glazed tub, with a new toilette, new sink, new cupboard, new sink faucet, and new dual rainfall showerheads. The bedroom has three new light fixtures.
You can expect a quiet building, (other than the sound of running water from other units now and then). The bus goes by every half hour, but not all night. The neighbor on the right of the building is a church with St. James Gardens as part of the accessible guest areas and the public to use. You will have your own designated parking spot for one vehicle marked by a sign. There is no accommodation for more than one vehicle, as there are 12 suites in the building and less than that in parking available.
Guest access
Guests have access to all areas of the unit except locked cabinets and cages that are reserved for the cleaners.
Other things to note
This is an extremely quiet building with eleven other units in it. Quiet hours begin at 9:30 pm and end at 09:30 am. We never hear from our exterior neighbour to the East, and the neighbour on the West side of the building is a church that has a before and after school care program, so guests will hear laughter from children playing in the play area beside the building. There is a beautiful green space, St James Gardens to sit and relax in, under the shade of the trees. There is no balcony to the unit, but the park beside the building has benches.
Suite and Building Rules:
The building is extremely quiet. We ask our guests to respect the peaceful building quietly, for the sake of our neighbours below, beside & above.
No parties and no extra guests.
No coming and going repeatedly during quiet hours.
No smoking, vaping, marijuana, hookah, candle, or incense burning within the unit, or the building.
Building rules do not permit pets of any kind whatsoever.
Quiet hours begin at 21:30 sharp.
Sound must be low on the TV/computer or your music.
Shoes must be left on the mat in the access hallway inside of the unit. No
shoes on the area carpet or throughout the suite.
Please do NOT flush masks, food waste, cooking grease, kleenex, paper towel, human hair, etc. anything other than toilet paper, and human waste down the toilet. Extra billing charges for plumbers or cleaning will be forwarded to the guest to pay.
While we understand that sometimes cups or plates get accidentally broken, we always appreciate notice of such instances immediately. Your honesty and the willingness to replace or financially compensate for such instances are greatly appreciated. This provides us with the time to remedy the situation prior to the next guest checking in without the need to scramble at the last minute after it is discovered at our guest's check out.
Any extra cleaning charges due to guests leaving the suite in a poor state will result in extra charges being passed onto the guest(s) that caused the reason for extra cleaning/drycleaning/steam cleaning. Any fees lost due to lost booking days for repairs/extra cleaning to said damage.
Damage to the unit will incur extra costs to the guest(s) as well as any fees lost due to lost booking days for repairs to said damage.
All items within the suite are accounted for after every check out by our team. Removal of items will result in a replacement cost plus 20% to cover the wages of the team member who needs to go purchase a new item(s) prior to the next guests arriving.
Guests have two hours from their check-in to notify the host of any issues. Should the guests wish to cancel their stay within the two-hour window, and the suite is left in a 10/10 condition by the guest, then one night will be charged vs two. Should the guest stay one night and wish to cancel their reservation, the two-night minimum applies. The remainder of the booked stay can be reimbursed provided that the suite is left in a 10/10 condition.
Unfortunately, this is not a wheelchair-accessible building.
There are two steps up to the back door, and there are seven steps to the "first floor" to the unit.
