Great for families with small kiddos. Beach is a 30 second walk from the house which made trips back and forth for random things, bathroom breaks, naps and so forth super easy. House was clean and comfortable.
This is a beautiful home just steps away from the beach. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed it, and we loved relaxing on the deck! Safe, quiet neighborhood and super clean, comfortable home. We will be back!!!
Nice house on a very quiet street. The beach is private with no vehicles allowed giving us plenty of room to roam unabated. Indian Summer is just the best!
My family of 4 stayed at this property for a long weekend. This home is just steps away from the ocean and has ocean views from almost every room. It’s an older home, but it has everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. The beach is far less crowded than in town (Galveston) but it’s a reasonably short drive away from all of the fun activities in the city. Would stay here again for the beautiful views and the quiet beach!
It was a great house, very peaceful, even though a little cold during spring break, but we did have an issue to were one of the kids were hurt due to falling wood from the deck above when they were sitting on the swing very scary not a way to start our trip .
Great location. Communication with the property managers was poor as they only responded after my 2 day stay was coming to an end. No washing detergent and a lot of other essentials for a stay aren’t provided for, so take that into account if you’re choosing this property.
This house is second row but due the staggering of the houses there is good beach view from many windows and the upper deck as if it was first row. Beach access is very close which varies A LOT around Galveston. We have stayed first row before and had to walk 5 times this far to get to the beach so this beach house is a A+ score on that. Repairs from previous reviewer were made before our stay. We noted the master tub drains a little slow.
Spacious, lots of seating and lots of the beds all comfortable. Bar fridge was a plus! Beautiful view and super easy beach access. We all had a wonderful time. Highly recommend! (There was a small plumbing issue that they said maintenance was coming to fix) They never showed up so my husband got creative and made it work. I didnt like the late 4pm check-in, and early 10 am check-out. Makes both days nonusable-I'm sure they could and should be a bit more lenient.

Lacking in cleanliness with pet urine odor
Our stay lasted 2 full days as well as the evening of check-in and morning of check-out. The property has a great view and location. However, any positives were overridden by strong pet urine odor which permeated the property. We were aware this is a pet friendly property, but the smell and the stains were overwhelming. Upon arrival we called Management to complain. Maintenance arrived, scrubbed the carpet and had to remove the bed skirts off the beds and the trundle bed linens due to urine stains/smell. That evening we bought pet urine neutralizing spray and tried to rid or minimize the odor. The next day (first full day) the odor still remained. In full daylight we were able to see urine stains on the sides of the couches and unsettling stains on the couch cushions. We covered the cushions with towels so we could sit on them. We called again to complain. The customer service rep offered for a cleaning crew to come early the next morning (day two - last full day). We requested that a manager call before sending a cleaning crew. No manager called therefore no cleaning crew arrived. We left the following morning. A few days after returning home we received an email from Management addressing this situation, and containing an offer with which we were not comfortable. Instead, we felt it more important to write an honest review. We hope Management takes action so that no one experiences the trouble and disappointment we experienced on our vacation.
My wife and I took our two young kids (2 and 4) to get out of town for a weekend. The house was great, in a nice, quiet neighborhood and just across the street from the beach. The house was very clean and it was a perfect layout for us. The living area is spacious and it has a great view of the ocean. We will definitely be going back again.
We spent 8 wonderful days with our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All of us loved the house, the view and time together. The house is supplied well and we all are looking forward to our next stay at Indian Summer.
The West End of the Island for a peaceful stay, away from the crowds on the East End and Sea Wall. Close to Seven Seas Grocery Store for all your supplies, Nate's and Waterman's if you don't want to cook.
The perfect morning: Watch the sunrise slowly light the water from your bed, grab a cup of coffee, a walk on the beach and a short swim in the Gulf. Quick shower and change downstairs, then wake the family to start the day.
Comfortable living room for relaxing and two tables for games in the heat of the day. Front and back porches for shade or sun depending on the time of day.
Home is well maintained, spacious and plenty of places to set up board games and puzzles. Indian beach is great in that people aren’t driving vehicles on it. Close to amenities too.
Had a great time. It should let you know it does not include towels or chairs for the beach
Overall good. Should let people know that it does not include chairs or towels for the beach. Propane or charcoal needs to be purchased. Even when Staying at a hotel you do not have to purchase toilet paper there is eneugh for the entire stay. We enjoyed the board games they had.
We came down here for a family vacation with our four young children. The house is not right on the beach but it was so close that it didn’t even make much difference for us at all. The house was clean and had enough beds for everyone to have their own spot. The beach was amazing. We stayed Monday-Friday and the most people at the beach at one time was two other families and we had 100 plus feet between us. So it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. We would definitely come back to this house again!
