Enjoy this luxury mountain home at 4500 foot elevation with stunning views, fire pit and full amenities. The home is 3 levels which allows plenty of space for multiple families to spread out. Large eat in kitchen, dining room with views all around, large deck with seating and hot tub, gas grill, outdoor fire pit, indoor gas fireplace, full basement with ping pong table. We have two kitchens and two laundry areas for maximum comfort and efficiency. Only 10 minutes to downtown Boone.

What a view!

This was an amazing home with a breathtaking view. I could look out the windows at the incredible mountain views all day long. While the home itself was beautiful, some areas could use some TLC (outdoor areas and tub upstairs). When we arrived, some areas of the home were in need of cleaning, but Lori quickly explained why the issues were not able to be taken care of before we arrived. All in all, it was a memorable experience, and we are so glad we had the opportunity to visit this amazing area!

What a view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Easter holiday weekend. The view really was incredible and the sunrise was a joy to see. The wildlife - (especially the deer) were so fun to watch and admire from a distance. We found the kitchen well stocked for cooking an Easter lunch and the roominess made for a very relaxing weekend. It was also a treat to be close enough to Boone for purchasing anything you needed even though when at the home, you feel like you are miles away from real civilization. We definitely will plan on returning!

Family Fall Trip

Great cabin, 2nd time that we have stayed there and it is awesome. The lay out of this cabin is perfect for our family, the 2nd floor bedroom with the king , and queen bed worked out perfectly for my daughters family, the children were able to sleep in her room. The deer are a big hit for everyone, as well as the ping pong and foosball tables. Location with a 5 minute drive to Boone is great! Can't wait to go back next year!!!

Views Galore

Gorgeous property close to downtown Boone. The most beautiful sunrise I have seen in a long time. Room for everyone. Great mountain views. Pay attention to booking info you would need 4wheel drive in winter. Hope to stay again.

Beautiful property

Beautiful mountain home located at the “top of Boone” neighborhood - you near the top of the mountain, gorgeous views over valley below from back porch! 3 levels of living was nice - kids loved ping pong table and hot tub on deck.

Great Location!! The views are some of the best in Boone.

What a great trip!! Boone was a good middle spot to see our college age son play lacrosse between NC and SC over the week. We had plenty of room for friends and family to stay and entertain. Parking was a little tight for 4 Trucks/ SUV’s but we made it work. There was time to unwind and enjoy the hot tub and views off the deck. Would definitely come back and rent again. Lori was a great host and very attentive to questions and needs.

Better than expected

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with extended family. This is a super nice home with extra amenities and plenty of room to spread out. Easy access and plenty of parking. About 15 minutes from grocery store. BREATHTAKING VIEWS! The hot tub was another added luxury. During incliment weather will need a 4x4 to access the gravel roads to property. My family enjoyed the deer feeder and the starry nights in the hot tub! We would definitely stay again at this location!

Perfect Birthday Weekend in the Mountains

I don’t write reviews - but had to write this one! We had rented this beautiful mountain home to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We have vacationed in the Boone area for over 20 years, and this house by far is our new favorite! Had everything we were looking for - stunning views, hot tub, tasteful furnishings, two working fireplaces, well equipped kitchen, designated office space, ping pong, and this amazing deer feeder which was the coolest thing and definitely a highlight. Lori was amazing to work with was super flexible with our travel schedule. We will definitely be back!

Graduation Trip

We traveled to Boone for our son's graduation from App. State. The property was unbelievable. (being from flat Louisiana, the drive up the mountains scared me, but my husband did fine!) Our whole family stayed very comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked and we were so happy to be able to cook cajun food for my son's friends one night. Would highly recommend staying here - only wish we had found it before he graduated!

Awesome!

This rental was the best I've ever stayed at. First, Lori was a great host, always accessible and pleasant. The house was very clean and well equipped. The views were absolutely amazing. I don't know who enjoyed the deer feeder more, the adults or the kids. Smores around the firepit, pretty special. The hot tub on a cold evening, awesome! We all had the best time; cooking, eating, making merry! There is really nothing negative to say about ":Higher Ground". The only suggestions I could make would be to update the gas logs at some point, a little hard to light and adjust flame, and add a couple of floor lamps beside the sofa. It gets a little dark if you don't cut on the bright overheads. Do yourself a favor. Call Lori and rent this awesome home today. Sincerely, Charles Miller.

Higher Ground heaven!

I rented this property as a surprise for my husband's 40th birthday weekend and it exceeded expectations! A beautiful home with stunning details and plenty of space. The deck, hot tub, and view are incredible and the house is fully stocked with many things you need. The property owner is very responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. I cannot say enough great things! I have never used vrbo before this and it was an amazing first experience. Enjoy this gem!

Spectacular Property

I cannot say enough great things about the house and owner. From the start, the process was easy and Lori was super responsive with my questions (even my dumb ones). The house is even better than pictured. We were a family of 4 visiting my daughter at college and she brought friends back to relax as well. The house was perfect for everyone. The downstairs has a second living room, kitchen, table, and ping pong. The college kids loved hanging down there late at night. The main floor kitchen was great to entertain and feed a group of hungry college kids. Plenty of seating and kitchen is stocked. Very clean. We can’t wait to come back again and use the outdoor amenities more since it was a rainy/foggy weekend for us. Thank you Lori!

Bday Weekend with Friends

I would give this property 20/10. My husband and I have birthdays a day apart and always plan getaways. We booked this home and invited 3 other couples. We couldn’t have asked for a better house with amazing views. We played board games, cooked meals and all ate together, went in the hot tub at night and looked at stars, fed the deer in the backyard, and did some nearby hikes. Exceeded our expectations!

Terrific stay!

We really enjoyed the house and had a great time. The views are fantastic and the house is very nice. The only thing I would suggest is even more pics especially of the downstairs. We didn't see much there in the pics but it was a tremendous area. We were a bunch of guys playing poker and cornhole (driveway was great for that with plenty of room and very flat). We diidn't even use the fire pit as we just didn't have enough time to do everything. Lori was great with the check-in and responsiveness and we can't wait to stay there again next year!
