Everything you need, nothing you don’t!
This home was comfortable without being posh and appropriately priced. The shared washer and dryer were fantastic. The parking was not useable for my midsize SUV. We parked on the street and the neighbors used our space. Not a big deal. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed the location.

La Jolla Beach Retreat Casita
Location was great, great for a short stay-pictures were accurate, great location to restaurants and easy walk to the beach for early morning walk or sunset. Only thing to mention is the couch is very tiny & hard for even 2 people to sit on and kit back and relax-only other setting is metal chairs.

Our LaJolla stay
We enjoyed our time in LaJolla and the property was near the city center and beach. Everything was a short drive or walk. The property was not as clean as it could have been. The patio was dirty and we could not sit on the cushions, there were dirty dishes in the cabinet and there was dried grease down the front of the stove. The on site manager never did get in touch with us about heat... it was damp and cold and the wall furnace did not work. We reported the issue on Sunday night and finally a very small space heater was brought to the property on Thursday evening. The bathroom was not very clean - dirty baseboards and dirt on the toilet. Parking was definitely an issue. The 2 spaces were very small and the persons renting the back space had a large truck so we were forced to park on the street as we couldn't get into our designated space.

Online house looked bigger in pictures than when we arrived. The location was great. Parking spot was nice , horrible to get in or out of. Very hard to get out of if a car is parked next to you. We almost hit the house. Clean … sofa was a joke it was like a small hard box. They need a new one. Floors need grow rugs as a bit cold . Mattresses was very hard to sleep on too. Patio was nice and loved the shower and kitchen. Just need better furniture very uncomfortable!! I work in the homey industry and we wanted to try renting. It was nice not to be on a hotel . Overall nice place just not very comfortable and when I’m on vacation it’s nice to come back to a cozy place. If they can upgrade the couch and bed I would rate it higher. Plus different parking.

Close to the beach but horrendous parking
The place was very small and minimally decorated. Just blocks from the beach. It’s located on a very busy street. However, we were unaware that parking would be so challenging and difficult. The photo showed a carport with your own parking space. What they don’t tell you is that the carport is located at the end of a long and very narrow drive way that is the exact width of a car. The shrubs growing on the side rubbed against the door of our suv every time we drove in and out of the driveway. It’s also best to have another person be the lookout to help you reverse out onto the busy street when you’re leaving or it could be very dangerous. Or you can reverse park if you’re really good at that to make leaving easier. But again, it’s really tight! Also may be difficult if there’s another car because the assigned parking spot actually curves off to the side. Street parking was hard to find. So we had to deal with the difficult carport. This rental would be a good spot if you plan on parking your car and then just walking everywhere for your entire stay. This place is also only suitable for two people. The sofa sleeper is tiny, it will accommodate a very small child. The furniture in the patio pictured with the fire pit was filthy. If you’re a light sleeper, bring a sound machine because traffic noise is loud. Overall, it was decent and pet friendly. But parking was horrendous and aesthetically not worth the high price.

Great location
Great location such a close walk to the beach and restaurants. On a very busy road but we slept through the noise. I would Recommend if you are looking for just a place to stay that’s close to the beach with very basic minimal amenities. No Ac was a little bit of a bummer and the fan in the living room made a noise like it was going to fly off the ceiling when on high. However I would love to come stay again and would recommend overall to anyone looking to stay in La Jolla

La Jolla Holiday
Great location- walked everywhere. Kitchen had everything except a dishwasher. Ate in except for 3 meals. Bed very comfortable but traffic noise begins at 6:00 in the morning. Bathroom very small- a large person would have problems. Living room sofa bed uncomfortable but managed with pillows from bedroom. Several small issues need attention - front door needs adjustment and dead bolt is missing, rust spot in bathroom next to shower, back screen door won’t close and heating system makes loud noises when shutting down. Tv had U TubeTv and Prime apps and was able to record everything. Would give unit a solid B but probably would not return because of traffic noise. Outside courtyard was not used because of temperature and lack of sun in middle of January.

Small beach house
Pros: 5 min walk to the beach, and to some stores/restaurants on pearl street. Probably more of a 20-30min walk to other restaurants in La Jolla. Cons: no air conditioning, very small bathroom, and the patio was very dirty and not kept up so not as advertised, didn’t want to sit out there. Overall it worked for a weekend at the beach, would have loved it to have air. I didn’t see that it didn’t when I booked so my mistake, they did have fans though.

Cute Cottage but on Busy Loud Street
The cottage was really cute and clean! It is a close walk to the beach and restaurants. The downside was it is on a busy street and the traffic noise is loud at all hours. It also does not have air conditioning but with ceiling fans on and windows open it stays comfortable.

LaJolla
There were a few problems norms. Sheets were stained, the lamp was rusty, the hot water knob to the faucet came off, the heater was dead and the toaster burned the bread on the top and didn’t toast on the other side. Portable heaters were brought in which was great.

Great location, poor response
The house is smaller than one might think, but with a terrific location. The outside space would have been great if not right on the busy street, which made it noisy. Discovering a non-functioning clothes dryer, talking to the management people and getting NO response or help, was very disappointing. Especially with a load of wet laundry and morning flight that resulted in a last evening in LaJolla finding and using a laundromat.

no recommend to stay in this place
The stay was Awful, the Neighborhood is very nice, but the property is on a mean street with a lot of Traffic noise, so this probably not should be listed for Vacation. The window faces the and when you close the window it is so hot and when you turn the Fen it make Noise, between the noise that from the indoor and outside, there is no option to sleep and relax. At the same price, you can get a much better cottage in a quick Area which has a much better condition and with AC. If you can for Vacation this is not for you!

Needs improvement
Cute place and clean. Pretty close to beach. However. The ceiling fan in the living room was too wobbly to use and there is no air conditioning. The ceiling fan in eating area didn’t work. Now the worst part. The “sofa bed” was a sofas that the back lays down flat so no mattress. It was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture to lay on. I finally had to stack comforters and blankets on top to be able to sleep on the third night. Fix these few problems and it’s well worth the price.

Great location, but only okay house
The location of this vrbo is amazing! It's right down the street from a bunch of really cute restaurants and shops, is a reasonable 20-minute walk from downtown La Jolla / La Jolla Cove, and is an easy ten-minute walk to the beach and local tidepooling spot. That said, the stay itself is only okay, and probably not worth the high price tag. The home is smaller than it appears in the photos and as a result, was very hot and stuffy for our mid-summer stay. Even with all the fans on full blast and all the blinds closed, it stayed sweltering inside (which is maybe my fault––I should have checked to see if there was AC before booking). The place was also quite dirty when we arrived. While the kitchen countertops and bathroom were clean, the floors were filthy, and turned our feet and socks black within minutes of walking in. Many of the dishes and utensils were also caked in grime or old food, though this is likely the fault of previous guests more than the management company. That said, when the cleanliness issues were brought to the attention of the management company, nothing was done until after the stay (and even then, only a small, partial reimbursement of the cleaning fee was offered). Overall, it's a great location and a decent place to stay, but for the price, you could probably find something better and cleaner in the area if you book further in advance than we did.

Cute La Jolla Bungalow
Great location and a nice little place tucked away in a not so quiet neighborhood. Loved the quick access to the beach and the private patio with fire feature. Very clean and well furnished for a short stay. Enjoyed this little cottage and I plan to return!

La Jolla is a gem!
The house is a sweet white cottage with a nice private patio. It’s on a busy street with a significant amount of traffic noise that subsides in the night. Close to everything La Jolla has to offer, within walking distance of the beach, shopping and dining. Really optimal for a couple with comfy bed and attached bath.
