About this property

Completely renovated 3 bedroom home, everything is brand new! This home offers a retreat for the outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy all four seasons of Northern Michigan. Whether you enjoy hiking, snowmobiling, shopping, or biking, there will be something for you to do in this quaint little neighborhood. The house is located right by the heritage trail, snowmobile trails and RAMBA bike trailhead. Just a short drive to Teal Lake and 20 minute drive to Marquette.

We have 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a large living room and a kitchen with a coffee maker, toaster and pots/pans. Our bedrooms each include a queen bed. The master bedroom has a shared space with a twin bed. We have a front porch with rocking chairs to relax and a back patio with a table, umbrella, chairs and a grill. We have a beautiful yard to enjoy as well. We want our guests to feel at home! We have provided towels, comfortable bedding and linens, fans, and extra blankets. We have parking spaces in the front of the house, and back for a total of 4 vehicles to park.

Adorable, clean, well-designed home

This was a beautiful place to stay for a conference at Northern Michigan University and a few days exploring the Marquette area. Everything was so thoughtfully designed and comfortable and the host was very responsive to questions. Absolutely recommend and would stay again!

Great Family Vacation Home

Lovely house in the center of Ishpeming. Plenty of space for 3 generations of family. Easy drive to the sites in Marquette and surrounding areas. Convenient laundry on the main floor. A perfect home base for a week of UP vacation!

Great place to snowmobile from

We had a great stay for two nights. We were able to snowmobile from the house to the UP 8 trail via snow covered side streets about 5 blocks. The house was clean and very pleasing to stay at. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay here for a family wedding. Had everything we needed available even though we weren’t actually there much. Michigan never disappoints. I’m sure we will stay here again.

LSPR

We stayed at this property for LSPR. It was a good midway point for our activities. We were able to park our truck and car trailer on the street and our recce vehicle in the driveway. The house was updated and had everythng we needed. Property manager was quick to respond when needed.

I'd come back in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at this property. It was spacious and clean. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom situation was quite nice. I felt very comfortable here during my stay and would look to book it again next time I'm in Ishpeming. Additionally, AC is not shown in the listing but there are two window units - one in the upstairs and one in a downstairs bedroom. We didn't need them but I thought future renters should be aware that they are there.

Perfect Location

We picked Park St Retreat for its proximity to areas we wanted to visit in the UP and it was a great spot, close enough to take all the day trips we wanted. Just 2 hours from Porcupine Mtns, 2.5 hrs from Tahquemanon, 1 hour from Munising, 30 min from Marquette and not to mention there is a lot to check out right in Ishpeming and Negaunee. The house was clean and fit our family of 5 perfectly with enough space for the kids to spread out upstairs in the loft area, and it was located in a quiet neighborhood. The host was accommodating and friendly, even sending us some traveler tips for while we were up there. We highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a place to stay in the UP. Looking forward to staying again!

What a little gem!

My husband and I came up to visit our son at NMU, and brought our teenage granddaughter. This house was perfect for us! We had planned on 5 people, and it would have been plenty big enough for all of us. The neighborhood is cute and quiet, and the house was really easy to find (looks just like the photo!) It was stocked with everything necessary for our stay. The house is beautifully remodeled and neat as a pin. In the past, we have only rented waterfront properties, and we were not sure about a neighborhood home. Going forward, we will try to rent this property every time we come north to visit our son. This is an amazing find! My granddaughter wanted me to post that there is hot water for days!!! She took a loooong hot shower both nights, and the water never got cold. I would highly recommend renting this house if you need a place to stay in the area. There is so much to do and see in this area. Thanks for a great stay!

A lovely house

This is lovely house. It is beautifully decorated and well laid out. -Plenty of parking -Quiet neighborhood -The information binder was full of ideas of where to eat and things to see. (The history of the renovation of the house was interesting.) -The kitchen had the basics. -The bathrooms are wonderful. Overall, a nice place to clean up and unwind after a long day of hiking and biking. The only issue I had is not being told how we were getting into the house until the morning of the trip. We have rented through VRBO for many years and are usually informed ahead of time of when to expect how to get in. (The day before or the morning of.) On the plus side, owners respond to messages quickly.
