Getaway in the mountains

Beautiful cabin off of Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, that was a relaximg getaway from the somewhat hectic Yellowstone National Park. About 30 minutes from the NE Entrance. Didn't realize that there would be so many cabins so close, but luckily we were the only ones for most of the stay.

Cozy cabin

Enjoyed our stay off the Chief Joseph highway in this cabin. Property was clean and nice I only have a few minor things to point out and they are not complaints, just information. The main bedroom is also a bathroom with no separate bath (shown in pics). Not a problem for the 2 of us as we mainly used the main bathroom, but if you have 4 people it might be odd using a non-private bathroom. If you don't care about TV then not a big deal but the TV is kinda small and hard to see - a larger one would be nice. I would also suggest adding some side tables and coffee table in the living room - no where to put drinks, eat, etc. There is no dining table (or room for one) so you have to eat at the bar. AGAIN not complaining these are minor things - we had a great time on the property, kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. Internet works great. Location is of course remote but you aren't too far from outdoor activities and scenic drives. Thanks!

Terrible Management Company

This home is managed by a property management company in Cody. I messaged this company with concerns 2weeks before our arrival, because of the flooding in the area. The management company just said no refunds. The number 1 reason for renting this house was because they advertised the place is 26 miles to the nearest Yellowstone entrance. When we arrived we found out the house is now 110 miles to nearest entrance. Now instead of a short drive we would have to drive 2 1/2 hours (or more with construction) each way. That means we would be driving up to 6 hours a day just to get to and from the park. I called the management company and they were not willing to work with us. Very unfriendly and cold. We certainly did not get what they promised nor what we were willing to pay a premium price for. Beware of booking a place that is managed by a company that doesn’t stand behind their advertising.
