Our apartments in the idyllic village of Kirchen (Ehingen / Danube) are located on the edge of the biosphere reserve Swabian Alb. Whether you are hiking, climbing, exploring caves, canoeing, cycling or mountain biking, flying (kite, paraglider, gliding), swimming, experiencing nature and culture, or simply wanting to unwind, the Swabian Alb will inspire you.
The Upper Mill was built in 1689 and belonged to the nearby monastery Zwiefalten. Until before the Second World War it was used as a flour mill, then as agriculture. The mill wheel was in the 20. Century replaced by a turbine, the Mühlbach flows in the meantime underground through the property.
The entire estate of the building and barn is a listed building, and the house was completely renovated in the 1990s and 2010s. With its massive walls, the building creates the ambience of a country castle.
In the former mill hall, a false ceiling was moved and created on two Stochwerken living room. Here are the apartments today. The former miller's flat is inhabited by ourselves.
The apartment "Mühlbach" has about 65sqm on a large, bright living / dining area with open kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet and is suitable for two people.
The apartment is on the ground floor.
The adjoining terrace is accessible directly from the living / dining area and is fenced off to our private garden.
On our property are dogs and bees, allergy sufferers should take this into account.
