Our modern farmhouse mountain home has the most beautiful view of Missoula and yet so close to downtown and the university. There is so much space inside (5000 square feet) with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms to make your stay comfortable. The formal living room, separate dining room, and huge great room including a family room, eating area, and breakfast nook along with a huge kitchen with top of the line appliances will help make you all feel at home away from home. Outside our home you will find plenty to do without even driving with a hiking trail outside the front door that leads to the Sousa Trail and the Barnmeyer Loop with an overlook that will take your breath away along with connections to the new Dean Stone Mountain trail (over 12 miles of hiking trails). It has the best of both worlds- Montana mountain life, yet close to everything downtown Missoula has to offer!

Wedding weekend

We gathered family from Maine, Florida and Utah for a wedding in the area. The home accommodated our large group comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped to cook our meals together and the patio offered amazing views at all times. Deer frequent the property and drink from the pond! Some from our group chose to hit the trail leaving from the driveway. All around we had a wonderful time in the home. No complaints.

Family wedding

Property is very nicely appointed and equipped. First floor bedroom and bath were perfect for my elderly mother. Communication with the owner was responsive and appreciated. Lovely views. Wish we had better overall weather but that can’t be planned!

Beautiful Home!

We had a great time at this beautiful home! Very comfortable house with an unbelievable view. We even had deer in the backyard many mornings. The host was very quick to respond to the only question I had about the fireplace. Will probably stay again.

Amazing Views

We loved our Stay! We were in town for parents weekend at the University of Montana. The house was impeccably clean, very well stocked and close to the campus. We enjoyed the outdoor deck with the fire pit, card games and all nine of us enjoyed movies on the roomy couch. The views from all of the windows were amazing!

Perfect guy trip home

Great view, great house, great for groups

Our family from all over met up in Missoula for a Griz football game and stayed at the Lookout. The house is huge and comfortable and easily accommodated our group with lots of beds and bathrooms. Everyone loved the house and how clean it was. The best part for me personally was the communication with the owner. She even helped out after my stay when I thought I lost my watch there (turns out I packed it). She was wonderful. If we do this trip again, we'll definitely book the Lookout!

Beautiful home, views, and plenty of room

The home is absolutely beautiful along with the breathtaking views everything you could ask for is at the house plenty of entertainment games, toys for the kids. Patio to relax on March kitchen plenty of eating areas and ample places for people to sleep all the amenities of home.

Destiny’s birthday and moving weekend

The house was perfect for our family for the celebration of our granddaughter’s birthday and going away get together. We had ample room, the view was priceless and accommodation’s were perfect for all who stayed- I can’t imagine a place that would have been better. We absolutely loved this property!

Beautiful Missoula Lookout

This house was perfect for our family, 4 adults and 1 child, with plenty of amenities, such as a ping pong table, basketball hoop, air hocky, well stocked pantry, large gourmet kitchen, and plenty of room for our family to spread out. Love the view and location. Will certainly book again if we're in Missoula.

Fantastic Missoula location and setting

Our entire party was very happy with the Missoula Lookout. Location/view, accommodations (especially the kitchen) - all were great. Laundry outside of the master suite would be nice to have, but was not a hindrance.

Wonderful Missoula Vacation

We enjoyed an amazing time in Missoula. Joy’s communication was great. Our family consisted of adults, teens and an 8 year old! There was something for everyone to enjoy, space to gather and to be alone The location is excellent and the views and outdoor space are amazing! (Sunsets) We were visited by a buck in early morning and late afternoon. Horseback riding along the Clark Fork was the highlight of the trip! (Adventure Missoula) The Ziplining at Snowbowl was a hit with the teens! Truly the best high end rental in Missoula! Thank you, Joy and Morgan!

What a view 😍

We had three families staying at this property at the same time and it met all of our expectations and more. Lots of space to spread out, plenty of bathrooms, fun activities for the kids, a huge kitchen to prepare big meals…and the best view to watch the sunset at the end of every day. We will definitely come back to this amazing property.

Fabulous View next to a lovely trail

It doesn't get much better than this--great view, sauna, lots of games and books, a well-stocked kitchen. It is truly luxurious. We kept pinching ourselves to make sure it was real.

Incredible Views!

The views were definitely the highlight of our stay, morning - noon - and - night. The home is tastefully decorated and offered a room for every mood, and provided us the perfect base for our Montana adventure. Joy was super responsive from beginning to end, and an absolute pleasure…even providing suggestions for places to see and be seen! Would recommend without hesitation.

Missoula wedding

We had a great stay at this beautiful home. We have never stayed at such a well appointed property. Everything we needed (even a snow shovel) was available. We had plenty of space for our 4 adult couple children and 4 young, 2 and under, grand kids. We even had the rehearsal dinner at the property (42 people) It was awesome, space or everyone, a fire on the patio, & excellent views of Missoula.

Why they chose this property

This property is like no other. There are few places in Missoula that have views, a hiking trail outside their front door, but are close to everything in 5-10 minutes or less. It also is a huge 5,000 square foot space that allows all to have their personal space but come together to share in lovely dinners and moments together.
