A breath of fresh air!!

Nana's Nest is the perfect hideaway from today's hectic world. The views are spectacular, the distant hills in their serenity are only part of the show. Birds hover overhead with beauty and ease without flapping their wings, Cardinals and Blue Jays frolic in the nearby evergreen trees. Sitting outside and viewing this is exhilarating!! Inside is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on for the Master Bed, up in the loft are 2 more beds that I never enjoyed. There is a wood stove for heat and electric space heaters for those that don't want to labor. It was rather warm for this time of year, so I never lit the stove. I'm an avid wood burner, (have 2 high efficiency wood burning stoves at home) so I'm sad I wasn't able to enjoy this. We enjoyed oatmeal and toast for a morning meal along with the Keurig making us a perfect blend of coffee to start our day. We enjoyed the barrel chairs and on the other side is more patio furniture for that area as well. Shifting winds caused us to change sitting areas. We also enjoyed a short walk in the woods, those hills are steep so be prepared. Luckily I was able to find a strong broken branch for my partner to use as a walking stick. Due to the hilly area and our desire to walk to the river nearby, I inquired about using ATV's on the property. Nucole confirmed that they were allowed on their 25 acre property. To summarize my visit, I was very happy and would love to visit again in the future. Time will tell if that happens. Jim

Solar Eclipse at Nana’s

My group had an amazing time at nana’s nest. The property is beautiful, and the cabin has everything you need. We booked this cabin to view the 2024 solar eclipse, and I don’t think we could have asked for a better location. It was secluded and quiet. Perfect for our group. The night sky doesn’t have much light pollution and you can get some good star gazing in. We all loved our visit, and would definitely stay here again. Well recommended.

Didn’t happen.

I was notified approximately 45 minutes before my arrival that their was an issue with the plumbing so I had to scramble to find other accommodations. I would like my refund.

A private location with a view - for those looking for a more simple, rustic experience.a

This property was what we had hoped for - private and rustic. The outside area had a lot of potential with a large finished yard. Only problem was finding it the 1st night.

Cabin life

Property owner was easily accessible for any questions and responded quickly. Cabin was as described, fun and quaint. Perfect, if you want to get away for a little while and kind of rough it but not really. Close to Calico Rock for some great fishing.

This tiny house style cabin is set in a country setting with great views. The east facing deck is a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee and a beautiful sunrise. The cabin had everything we needed for a nights stay. Although the road leading up to the property is a little rough, it is worth it.

Great stay

It was a great little cabin to stay at. It had a porch that we could sit out on and a lot grass to walk around. It had a charcoal grill to grill out on and a fire side pit for s'mores or just to stay warm. The roads leading up to the property were a little bumpy (gravel/dirt road), but it was drivable even with the water left after a big storm went through. The cabin was clean and the owner provided a lot of extra things (plates, cups, disposable silverware, candles, etc.). It was a great stay!

About the host

This cute little cabin is the handiwork of my mother; that's why we have nicknamed it Nana's Nest. It is located off of state Highway 5 down from our family farm. Tan Trough Creek, which joins the White River, runs along the bottom edge of the property.
We are country people, but we aim to please.

The profile picture is of a local iconic scene looking over the White River, called City Rock Bluffs. North Arkansas, a sportsman's paradise, is known for its clear rivers and lakes.
My name is Nicole.

Why they chose this property

Get away from the hectic hustle of life and get back to nature while staying in our hideaway. The cabin may be small, but it is full of character. Native cedar planks trim many of the walls, and the wood-burning stove keeps the space warm and cozy.

There is an open floor plan with a sitting area, a small kitchen, and a nook with a double bed. A custom log ladder provides access to the loft area which has a queen bed and a twin bed. The covered deck overlooks the property and the hills beyond.

This property could never be labeled fancy, but it is neat, clean, and cozy.
We hope to offer a quiet refuge to the fast-paced world.
