About this property

Our holiday home is the ideal starting point for a relaxing and active holiday on the Portuguese island of Madeira in the Atlantic. Enjoy your stay individually, away from the mass tourism, completely relaxed in our house. For a comfortable living in the cooler season provides a installed by a German company hot water floor heating. The house is located 300m above sea level with a breathtaking view of Madeira's original southern coastline! Are you looking for a holiday home that you have been dreaming about for a long time? You found it!
Completed in the summer of 2011 under German construction management and participation of a German craft company house is located in the district of Calheta. Here you have a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains, the sea and the sunset.
The house has a very generous terrace area and a total of 120 square meters of living space. It has been built at ground level and has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 bedroom with bunk beds). Living room, dining room, bedrooms 1 and 2 have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with access to the terrace.
Bedroom 1, kitchen / living, dining room have sea views.
Bedroom 2 has an additional TV.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, egg cooker, toaster.
The living room has a cozy sitting area with satellite TV (with international channels) music system with radio and CD player.
A sufficient and fast internet connection is of course available.
The house has a modern bathroom with walk-in shower, adjustable washbasin and disabled WC / toilet. Outside the house, a washing machine and a clothes dryer are available in a utility room. There is also a guest toilet available.
The large terrace offers a beautiful view of the sea and has a nice barbecue area as well as a cozy seating area and sunbeds.
It's a great place to relax with a glass of wine after a nice day of vacation.

Traumausblick

Der Urlaub ist mit einem traumhaften Blick auf das Meer und dem gepflegten, mit allem ausgestatteten Haus zu einem wunderbaren Aufenthalt geworden. Der Verwalter Carlos ist supernett und hilfsbereit. Unsere täglichen Touren über die wunderschöne Insel haben wir sehr genossen.

Perfekte Unterkunft.

Durch die gute Lage der Unterkunft ist man mit dem Mietwagen sehr schnell an vielen schönen Orten im Südwesten der Insel, aber auch in Rabacal oder Fanal. Die Wohnung ist sauber, sehr gut ausgestattett und die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist wunderschön. Ein Highlight, gerade bei tieferen Temperaturen, ist die Fußbodenheizung.

Tolles Haus mit fantastischem Blick über Calheta und übers Meer!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in einem sehr schönen Haus. Alles war sehr sauber, modern und gepflegt. Der Blick vom Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer durch die bodentiefen, aufschiebbaren Fenster war genial, Die Matratzen in den Schlafzimmern waren sehr gut. Das Wohnzimmer war sehr schön und gemütlich, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Carlos, der Verwalter war sehr nett und die Übergabe hat super geklappt.

Wir hatten eine herrliche Zeit in einer sehr schönen und gut gelegenen Unterkunft. Wir wurden herzlich,und sogar auf deutsch, begrüßt und uns wurde alles wichtige erklärt und gezeigt. Bei Problemen hätten wir uns direkt an Carlos wenden können. Die Ausstattung war super und wie beschrieben. Auch die Aussicht von den Terrassen war herrlich, sowohl auf das Meer als auch in die Berge. Von der Unterkunft konnte man in kurzer Zeit alles erreichen. Eine zu empfehlende Ferienwohnung die alles hat was man brauch. Leider war unsere Zeit dort zu kurz.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gute Ausstattung, schöne große gräumige Wohnung mit traumhaftem Ausblick von einer tollen Terrasse. Der Hausmeister war uns bei der Anreise eine sehr große Hilfe.

Beautiful house

We've been at the house for three weeks, four friends, during December. The house is beautiful, spacious and has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Madeira. I hope we will get back soon and I definitely recommend staying at Thomas's house.

Meravigliosi tramonti sul mare

La casa è molto confortevole e si può godere di un meraviglioso panorama che ha contribuito a rendere stupenda la nostra vacanza. Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno a chiunque desideri visitare la bellissima isola di Madeira, anche per la posizione di partenza verso i diversi punti di interesse. Necessaria l'automobile.

Ferienhaus mit Aussicht

Traumhaftes Haus mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf den Atlantik. Die Küchenausstattung ist perfekt, die Betten gut, die Hausumgebung ruhig und die Terrasse ein Traum! Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist sehr steil. Insgesamt ein Traumferienhaus!

Haus mit wunderschöner Aussicht

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Wunderschöne Terrasse, in der Küche fehlt es an nichts, wir haben jeden Tag gekocht und eine gute Lage, um die Insel zu erkunden. Wir können das Haus empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Toller Blick aus grossen Panoramafenstern

Sehr sauber, Gartenliegen (nur 3) etwas unbequem (da nicht verstellbar), Straße nicht stark befahren aber leider Baustellenlärm vom Nachbargrundstück bis 20:00 Uhr. "Fast"-Sonnenuntergangsblick (April), aber 700m entfernt ein Sunset-Ausblick mit Bänken. Nachteil der grossen Panoramafenster ohne Verschattungsmöglichkeit! könnte im Sommer die Hitze sein. Grosse Dusche, Schränke-Stauraum für 10 Wochen Urlaub, Küchenausstattung sehr reichhaltig allerdings keine (Grund)Lebensmittel wie Salz, Öl, Zucker etz. Einfahrt etwas eng, aber Auto kann auch auf der Straße geparkt werden. Hausbetreuer vor Ort freundlich und unaufdringlich (kam nur ein mal zum Rasen wässern). Im Ort nur ein kleiner Minimarkt, am besten schon vorher einkaufen. Sonst alles wie vom Hausanbieter beschrieben und bebildert.

Wunderbares Ferienhaus!

Das Ferienhaus in Arco da Calheta hat alles, was man sich wünschen kann und war perfekt für uns. Wir (3 Erwachsene und ein Teenager) haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt und hatten wundervolle Tage dort. Die Kommunikation mit Carlos, der uns vor Ort empfangen hat, war sehr herzlich. Er hat uns alles gezeigt, Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben und uns sogar zum nächstgelegenen Supermarkt begleitet, damit wir erste Einkäufe erledigen konnten. Die eingestellten Fotos geben alle Qualitäten der Unterkunft exakt wieder. Besonders haben wir die schöne Terrassen mit Blick über ein typisch madeirisches Kleinstädtchen und die Hügel hinunter zum Meer genossen. Das Haus ist ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt zum Erkunden des westlichen Teils der Insel, aber auch Funchal ist in weit weniger als einer Stunde zu erreichen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Fabulous!

We stayed in this lovely house in late November 2022. It was extremely clean and had every kitchen appliance you could need. Tons of natural light, and we opened all the doors to get the cross breezes (since the weather was beautiful the whole time). The bathroom was very clean and the water pressure was good. The best pics we took were right off the terrace....views were awesome, no sunset was the same, and they were all incredible. Carlos, our caretaker was very friendly (he even helped my husband change a tire on our rental car), popped by to water the grass/plants (and let us know when he got there), & also came by the night before we left to say good-bye. There is a locking gate at the driveway, and the house was very secure. While we're used to barking dogs, the rooster(s) were another matter! While they weren't super bothersome (all part of the charm), they may startle you in the (VERY) early hours of the morning! The only problem a new guest may have is actually finding the house; your GPS will take you well past it, and when you turn around you have to look for the house number by the gate...the house roof is actually (almost) ground level to the street and blocked by the gate so, easy to miss (we weren't the only ones, a taxi came to take us to our excursion meeting place, and she passed it as well). We had a wonderful stay in this house and would highly recommend it!

Sehr hoch glegenes Haus, weswegen auch ein wunderbarer Ausblick genossen werden kann. Kaum Einsicht von Nachbargebäuden und tolles Ambiente. Sehr sauber und problemlose Schlüsselübergabe. Sehr gute Ausstattung des Hauses. Wehrmutstropfen durch die hohe Lage, PKW nötig und zu unserer Buchungszeit leider häufig in den Wolken.

Alles hervorragend!

Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und haben uns in dem Ferienhaus sehr wohlgefühlt, es fehlte wirklich an nichts, super Aussicht von der Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer und schöne und interessante Umgebung :-)
