Sweet house with plenty of room for us and our kids. Neighborhood feels a little “sketchy” but honestly was fine, pretty quiet for the most part and we stayed there for 4 nights and felt safe. Did not like the dog hair and smell all over the carpet and pretty strong smell in the front bedroom (where I assume most people keep their dogs) . The only communication problem I didn’t appreciate was I tried to shorten my trip (before the deadline for change) and I never got a response. They just charged me for the full trip and kept the dates the same even though I was within the time frame of being allowed (as stated in the contract) to change it. So I was a little frustrated with that, but we just ended up coming the full time because I paid for it.

We wanted to share with you some items to help you to improve on others stay.
Master bathroom tub does not drain. Master bedroom mattress needs to be rotated.
Shades do not cover the whole windows which made us feel uneased, people could see in. They are very hard too adjust.
The front door would not lock after several attempts which made us late.
The backyard was not set up for guests, no fire pit no cornhole these were two things showed in the listing. The shed in back is rusted, items were in there, but we did not feel comfortable with pulling them out.
Only two spoons, at one point two of us ate ice cream with a spoon and the other with a fork.
The house doesn't seem that it has been maintained since the flooring is separating, carpets need to be cleaned. The paint is chipping off on exterior.
The lamp in twin bedroom is broken.
Bedrooms need minors and table/dressers to put items on instead of items going on the floor. Add something to the walls, to make it more cozy.
Conveniently located to all of the places we wanted to visit.
Most beds were comfortable.
Good size space for us to have our own privacy.
Overall a nice place and we had a great time in Waco!

The front do
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and the towels were extra soft and fluffy. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice. It’s an older house but you can tell they took great care in refinishing everything. We would stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay! House had everything we needed and was accommodating to all our guest! Would definitely book again! Thank you for hosting us! ❤️
Nice house, clean, well stocked, close to downtown. Suggestions it would be very nice to have a small Keurig coffee pot. FYI your cleaning people put wet rugs down on your beautiful floors. Would hate for them to get ruined. Thanks

Waco visit
The interior of the house was cute. However, the neighborhood was a little sketchy, front and backyard needed to be mowed, refrigerator inside was not clean and neither was the inside lid of the drip coffee pot. We also had considerable trouble with the combination door latch.Other than those issues it meant our needs and when I reached out to the host to share some concerns she was quick to respond.
This house was super cute and worked great for our trip!

Beautiful cottage
The way the cottage has been remodelled is aesthetically pleasing. The bedrooms easily and comfortably accomodate a family, especially if you have furbabies !!! Communication with owner was easy. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, location is not the greatest as it is in North Waco neighborhood. Easy access to attractions.
This property was really close to all the attractions and the airport. The house was clean and decorated really nice. The bedrooms were spacious and could fit all in our party. The neighborhood was not the best and the neighbors came and went quite often in the middle of the night but I would not mind staying there again.
While this property does boast location proximity to Baylor and Silos, what it does not boast is the proximity to a loud bar and unsightly neighbors. It was on a busy street with lots of interesting noises/music, and activities that left us feeling that we were not in the safest of neighborhoods. The house across the street seemed to occupy a large number of men who entertained themselves on the porch with music and shouting, while watching our every move as we came and went. We did not feel comfortable even opening a window shade.
If I could have picked up the house and moved it, it would have lived up to all it claimed! Too bad this little charmer comes with nosy neighbors.
In town for Baylor Family Weekend. The house was everything we needed for the weekend. Plenty of room for the family. Easy to get to everything. Some may give a side eye to the look of surrounding neighborhood but it was fine.
We stayed in the Shiplap cottage for our annual board planning retreat for our nonprofit. Everything was just as advertised. Ashley provided plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, shampoo, soap, etc. We would have loved to have a couple of kitchen towels but that's an easy fix. The house was clean and comfy. We were close to most things we wanted to do in Waco including the Silos. Ashley was very prompt to answer messages. Provided coffee and creamers was a nice touch as were the basket of comfy blankets in the living room. We used the TV for entertainment and also to cast our laptops for planning purposes. All in all it was a lovely place.
Ashley is exceptional with communication. Her hospitality insured we had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable and the house was very clean. It was in close proximity to the attractions we explored. Definitely recommend this property!
