Away To Play - Amazing 4BR/4BA Home!!

This is a charming three story, four bedroom, four full bath beach house 2500 sq. ft house offering two porches, garage and a golf cart to ride to the beach.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious living room, dining room and fully appointed kitchen with breakfast counter, refrigerator with ice maker,12 cup coffee pot, Keurig, microwave, dishwasher and laundry area with full size washer and dryer. Just off the living and dining room is a large, screened porch with plenty of outdoor seating.

In addition to the main living areas downstairs is the primary suite with a comfortable seating area and bath with large garden tub, separate glass enclosed shower, double vanity and water closet.

Upstairs you’ll discover two guest bedrooms, two full baths and quaint living area with a trundle bed. A few more steps lead to the furnished crow's nest with an additional two trundle beds. Other features include ceiling fans in every bedroom, central heating and air conditioning.

Newly added, a beautiful outdoor patio seating area.

It was well maintained for the most part, I believe it get a lot of use from the memories book. I would recommend staying there, the security team is great and the office is more than willing to help out. If you are having an older couple or someone with walking issues this isn't the best option if they are wanting to visit the beach. We had a couple older people who couldn't come down due to the walk to the ocean.

We have been coming to Martinique for over 5 years. We had 2 vehicles that we had to scoot over to get the golf cart in and out of the garage because you can’t leave it out. The tires on one side of the vehicle was on the sand. Was issued a $50/per vehicle citation even though we moved them as soon as notified and even raked the sand.

The beach was great and the kids also enjoyed the pool.I would suggest to management that they provide more shade unbrellas at the pool. I talked to a lady at Aronov and she said that this expenditure was not in the budget. $500.00 in next years budget would solve this problem, A word to the owner of AWAY TO PLAY about his golf cart. It is dangerous. The breaks do not work, the battery meter doesn't work and the right axle has a problem. If you have to take your hands off of the steering wheel the cart will jump to the left into ongoing traffic, and the tires are bare. We still plan on returning to Martinique as we have for many years and hope these negatives and be taken care of .

Oven was totally dirty3. Skillets and some pots and pans not washed or cleaned in anyway.3. Dryer was full of towels in which we folded4. Bathtub 2nd Floor not clean5. Master bedroom bed not very secure to bed and would slide down and pillows drop below head board6. Golf cart not charged. It was not plugged in properly. Plus once charged you it did not register that it was so it was a guessing game on how much charge was left (needs maintaince). I would also suggest you install garage door opener. Very difficult lifting door for older guests.7. Bicycles totally useless and need serious attention.Minus thee minor issues the house was great. Someone should walkthrough the property after house keepers are finished and verify all is ready for next guest including checking bicycles, gold cart. Such a beautiful home that I wouldn't hesitate to stay in again once attention to minor issues are resolved

Reviewer Comments: Have visited Martinique on the Gulf for the last 10 years or so and previously have always stayed in the Condos. Decided to change it up this year and try out a house. Was extremely disappointed upon arrival as the house was not really well taken care of, and did not appear that the house had been cleaned very well prior to our arrival. (Rotting fruit on the counter, very dated inside, lots of stains on carpet, and definitely needs to be painted/refreshed on the inside). Not exactly the "relaxing" feel we have come to expect from previous years when we have stayed at other places at Martinique...kind of a bummer after driving 11-12 hours to get there.Location of the house is very convenient to the beach, unfortunately weather was not our friend and we really only had 2 good beach days during our week stay. Which that is how it goes at the beach, no problem there...however it really put more of an emphasis on the overall condition of the house we were in because we were kind of stuck inside due to the weather.This unit does provide a golf cart, however this is could use update/repair, break didn't work too well/could not get the brake to set/lock in park mode.Overall thoughts, might return to Martinique as the other years we have stayed have always been a fun time...very doubtful we will book Away to Play again.2.8 out of 5 star rating

Late Fall Retreat
