Pack your slippers and a cozy blanket while you stay at Pine Cone Cottage on West Twin Lake! Enjoy the lake view, while enjoying the convenience and proximity to both downtown Nisswa and Pequot Lakes and surrounding lakes. The cottage is less than a mile from the famous Paul Bunyan trail, so bring your snowmobile, snowshoes or cross country skis for some refreshing outdoor exercise and memorable. fun!
Other amenities include a ping pong table, games, complimentary coffee & more!


Pine Cone Cottage is just miles from many pristine golf courses and other local attractions including Brainerd Lakes International Raceway, putt-putt golf/go-cart tracks, Nisswa Family Fun Water park, shopping and much more family friendly activities.

Pine Cone Cottage is a spacious 2,600 sq. ft property with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms.
The kitchen is stocked with all major appliances and utensils for homemade evening meals, as well as the essential coffee pot (regular drip coffee pot) for guests to enjoy with complimentary coffee from a local roastery to enjoy! There is a dining room table that comfortably seats 6 guests (4 chairs and a bench) and two additional bar stools.

The upstairs family room boasts great views of the lake, as well as comfortable seating in front of a stone **fireplace. Enjoy walking out to the deck and listening to the morning loons while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea!

The downstairs family room provides a spacious and comfortable experience for all ages. There are games provided that will be sure to create instant laughs and lasting memories, as well as a newly added ping pong table!

In the master bedroom, there is a full-bath as well as a comfortable king size mattress and walk-in-closet.
The other four bedrooms provide a cozy and comfortable queen size mattress and closet space in each room.

There is a beautiful and spacious laundry room located right off of the main entrance door on the first floor.

There are five steps leading up to the front door, as well as to the back porch patio.

Other amenities include a ping pong table, games, and complimentary coffee!

Very nice property
We had a very comfortable stay. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The space wasn’t quite as clean as I hoped. There was sticky stuff on the counter, crumbs on the dining table, and some leaves and pine needles on the floor. I cleaned it up and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful Spot!
Already talking with friends about coming back next year. Great spot, great location, great water access (we swam and kayaked), great host. The only tiny comment is that it is close to 371 and you can hear a bit of traffic. Not a big deal, and we’d come back again, but it is there. All good!

My kids and I enjoyed our stay. We were happy with everything except the lake, it was full of lily pads and weeds all around the dock The area where the provided kayaks can enter the lake was also full of lily pads and weeds. We expected that the kids would be able to jump off the dock and swim, but this was not the case. Based on the amount they charge per night, we expected the lake to be nicer than it was!

The property was easy to find and looked just as the photos had advertised. The downstairs beds were not very comfortable but we made it work by having some people sleep on couches. Would have been nice to have extra pillows and blankets available for the beds. It was clean and the host was very responsive! Beautiful views too!

Our family needed a place to stay for a family wedding happening in Nisswa. It was only 4 miles away so it was convenient to the Catalyst event space. My grandkids loved the VRBO..especially the ping pong table! Plenty of space for the entire family of 10. Would stay again!

We are are a national auto racing series and rented the property for our staff supportin an event at nearby Brainerd Int'l Raceway. This property was very well appointed, the host was a delight to work with (very responsive), home was equipped with everything we needed and more and is so conveniently located on a very gorgeous and peaceful lake. We enjoyed the property and amenities such as the dock and kayaks. House is very well kept. We caught fish and watched a family of loons. Traffic across the bay is slightly noisy but you get used to it. Had an excellent time. We would stay again.

Location is perfect for getting around Nisswa and Brainerd activities. The home was perfect for a large family and very clean. However, the basement was freezing and we were not able to adjust the temperature. Also, we were very disappointed in the actual lake and lakeshore, full of rocks and weeds, not appropriate for swimming.

The house is very nice and clean. We enjoyed the backyard fishing and fire pit. The house is nicely located in the middle of some nice cities. The air didn't work when we got there, so it was very warm, but Emily had someone out there right away to get it taken care of.

The property was exactly as advertised, clean, and well maintained. We stayed in the winter so we couldn't enjoy the outside area as much as if it would of been in the warmer months. Great location with a short drive to downtown Nisswa. A couple of suggestions would be to update bath towels and kitchen towels as all were really worn along with providing hotel sized shampoo/conditioner and shower gel/soap. We would definitely stay again at Pinecone Cottage!
