This is a well cared for older home with all new features in the kitchen and bathrooms. It's less than 10 minutes to downtown and far enough north to be super convenient to such places as Brackenridge Park, Botanical Garden, the Quarry, Trinity U, etc.I was very impressed with this place.
We stayed for 2 weeks. Nick was super responsive to the couple questions we had. The house is well cared for and tasteful. I loved the fact that there was an office as I worked for some of our visit. The neighborhood was quiet and the amenities were thoughtful. We seemed to be within 15 minutes of just about everything we wanted to do.
My family stayed in this quaint home for a few nights. It was perfect. We especially appreciated the little touches such as charging stations near the beds, extra towels, nice kitchen, clean spaces, and easy parking. Host was easy to contact. We felt safe, and if ever in this area again, we will stay here.
Very roomy, relaxing and quiet neighborhood. There is a school next to it and we stayed during school hours. Still quiet and easy to navigate around neighborhood. Very clean. Host was quick to respond and let us check in a little early. Overall will recommend and hope to stay again.
This beautifully restored old home gave us just the right space in the right place to enjoy a family visit for events at Trinity University. Comfortable furniture, well-equipped kitchen. Loved the deep bathtub!
The house and location were great. The home was nice and clean. Unfortunately the thermostat was locked and required a code to switch from a/c to heat. A cold front came through overnight and it was 58 degrees in the house when we woke up and we could not turn on the heat to make it warmer. Luckily the hot water in the shower worked great.
Beautiful home and great location! Short Uber ride to downtown San Antonio. Nick was very responsive and welcoming. I would 100% stay here again if/when we come back.
Property was clean and comfortable. Owner has obviously put a lot of thought into needs of the guests. Very tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Nice location near downtown and the Pearl. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.
We came for my son’s BMT ceremony but we found we wanted to stay at the house to enjoy one of several outdoor spots or in the cozy living area. Highly recommend
This is the cutest little house in a quiet little neighborhood. It has a great porch to drink coffee on in the morning clean love the hardwood floors, and the old rustic charm. It was an amazing home would definitely stay here again.
My husband stayed at this property while visiting our daughter at Trinity. Clean, lovely renovations to the place, and just a advertised. He would stay there again.
Overall the home was great, beds were comfortable, and the area was nice and quiet. The only item that could need some TLC is the master shower. It drips all day and night, it was also covered with soap scum. I would stay here again.
The location of this home was easily close to most attractions in San Antonio. The neighborhood was historic and peaceful, and the circle drive made parking easy which was definitely a bonus. The home was very clean, and everything we needed was there. The master bathroom was huge, so it worked really well for me and my husband. I would be careful with the clawfoot tub in the other bathroom because my mom slipped and fell in it. The front and back porches were nice additions, and I enjoyed the windchimes. The back door is a bit difficult to open. We had an TV in the living room and both bedrooms which was nice. All I n all, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone with 3-4 adults staying at the property.

About the host
Hosted by Nick
Hello! My name is Nick and I was born and raised right here in San Antonio, not too far from our home in Alta Vista. My full time job is working as a Civil Engineer designing neighborhoods and other city infrastructure. My wife Yasmin is also an engineer, and we got married in 2019. We purchased the house in Alta Vista shortly after getting married and have loved living in the neighborhood ever since.
Why they chose this property
We love this home because of its historic charm, quiet friendly neighborhood and central location to just about anywhere in the City.
What makes this property unique
The front porch is by far our favorite feature of the home. It is north facing which means it never receives direct sunlight, helping to keep it cooler in the hot summer months.
