Our stay was an annual family gathering (our 1st time at this property). Loved the location of this property on the lake…at the end of the lake, quiet and a no wake zone. Rare boat traffic. Easy access into the water for everyone from the dock but no beach. Not an easy exit from the water for a dog. We all loved the availability of seating around the huge fire pit. Plenty of outside space for corn-hole (bring your own) and other outside games. 2 kayaks are provided with paddles and life vests. The house was clean and had everything we might have needed, even a 2nd refrigerator on the lower level! The Grandchildren loved bunking in the loft! The beds were very comfortable! Plenty of parking too. Our only wish would have been more sunlight through the trees and on the dock. Communication with the owner was stellar! Overall I would rate this property a 9/10. (1/10th missing for direct sunshine). We would recommend this property and love to stay there again!
My family and I (3 generations) had a great time at this lake property! The kids really enjoyed jumping off the dock, kayaking, and the lofted area was a big hit for the kids’ “hang out” spot! Stephanie, the host, was very attentive and communicative prior to and throughout our stay! It was a wonderful vacation! Thank you!!
The house was exactly as advertised, bonus points on the mini splits. Location was great, the lake was very fun and very quiet. Nice layout, loft was great ( we only ended up having a total of 6 people one night )
only drag was there was no firepit poker.... we made due.
Very nice location and lake, we would rent again.
Our three families fit comfortably together in this house. The big kids (ages 17-22) enjoyed the loft. Grownups stayed in the main rooms on the main floor. Our family with two littles (7 and 4) stayed downstairs. The downstairs was perfect with a bathroom and living area so we didn’t need to wake anyone up in the early morning. House was clean and has everything you needed.
House was very cozy
Clean and well stocked
Plenty of space for this family of 8
Water view was amazing. The kids loved being able to use the water and the kayaks.
Host was very easy to get in touch with.
We really enjoyed our time at Balch Pond and the house. Plenty of space for adults and teenagers, and all the amenities that you want for a Maine summer stay. House was very clean and looked just like the pictures. Immediate area is fairly quiet, but 30 minute drive to Wolfboro which was nice and an hour from Portland and ocean beaches. Highly recommend!
