Turner Family Home❤️10 min to Black Mtn-5⭐️relaxing getaway-25min to Aville

This property is in a great Old Fort location less than a mile from
town. You will be booking the middle level of the home, but you will have the home to yourself, you have access to everything pictured in the listing. Our home is very close to Hillmans restaurant, and a few miles from Andrews Geyser. We are also located about 10 minutes from Block Mountain and about 25 minutes from Asheville! We are sure that you will be comfortable and feel right at home at our property. We live very close to help with anything you may need also. Our home has tons of natural light, and really comfy beds. The living room has a couch, chair, 2 rocker/recliners and a tv. Relax on the covered back porch where there is a table for dining. There is plenty of room to sit on the front porch also. Our neighborhood is fairly quiet, the driveway is shared but you will have your own parking area. Also the home is close to the railroad tracks, but very few trains come through anymore. Also keep in mind if you need laundry done during your stay just let us know and we will be happy to do it for you!

Hideaway in Mountains

The Turner Family property is a nice place to getaway from it all. It's nostalgic of time past and everything is authentic. Very well taken care of and all the flowers are beautiful! It is next to a train track but in the 3 days we were there only 1 train came through. I recommend staying at this property.

Clean, Quaint & Convient Location

This was one of those times the property was much much nicer than described in the listing. House is clean, neat and well maintained and complete with nice size yard along with flowers and hanging baskets on a quiet street. About a half a mile walk over to middle of Old Fort, where there are coffee shops and cool breweries. Although this is obviously not a "newer" property I would encourage that to not cause you to not give it a try as I do not think you will be disappointed.

Comfortable vintage home

Check in was easy. House was clean. Some snacks and a wine bottle waiting on arrival were a nice touch. Owners nearby, but totally respectful of privacy. We used the screened-in porch for meals. The front porch was a great place to relax. It was a short walk in to town. Overall, it was a great stay and we would visit again. A train did come by both nights, but really wasn't loud and didn't bother us.

Lovely Home!

We had a fabulous stay in the lovely home. It is an older family homestead that has been meticulously maintained. Everything was super clean and the extra touches of snacks and beautiful old family photos made us feel like a welcomed guest. These beds are the coziest we have ever encountered! Lovely home

We enjoyed our stay in Old Fort. The home was lovingly cared for and kept its historical charm. Everything was spotless and the owner's attention to detail was most appreciated. Anything needed was thoughtfully provided, including snacks! Janice and Steve were delightful to work with. Several trips were made to Hillman's Brewery, highly recommended for dining and beer!

Family Visit

Beautiful house in a quite neighborhood and easy to follow directions to get there. Husband and I stayed there while we visited family. It was a welcomed break to sit on the porch in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee..owners are right there if any issues arrive and respect your privacy. We will be renting from them again when he make another trip.

Enchanting!

Beautiful Home with plenty of space for two to four people. My wife and I enjoyed the home so much she wants to go back and stay longer! There is a book with the history of the home and when you read it you become part of its history and family. We absolutely recommend this home to anyone that is just wanting to relax and rest!!

A gem in Old Fort

This home was absolutely lovely. It was clean, well kept, and quiet. The grounds were beautiful, and we enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch. There were little birds flying in and out of the ferns. It brought back memories of being at my grandmother’s house. We slept so well. Very comfortable home.

A Relaxing Getaway

The front porch rockers are very comfortable. The screened in back porch is a great place to watch fireflies and listen to the creek. The owners left goodies and were very pleasant in all interactions. Thanks, Janice for sharing your family treasure with us!

We had only one night to stay in the area before a business meeting nearby, but thoroughly enjoyed this space, walked to Hillmans Brewery in the afternoon, drove to Black Mountain for dinner. The front porch was beautiful and relaxing the next morning, even in the rain, the house was very clean, well supplied and comfortable; hosts were available and willing to help if needed. Slept well, no complaints.

The house, while 'more mature' was a joy to be in. The owners went way out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. These folks and their wonderful home made is feel right at home!!

Quiet ..Beautiful ..And Peaceful!

The home was very beautifully decorated and had many amenities…like coffee.. tea…snacks and any other things you would like ! Special items for bathroom… sprays for cleaning or just a variety of other odds and ends! Very comfortable bed and the home was spotless!!! We very much enjoyed our stay there!!! Great Getaway

If you are going for a party & busy stay this is not the place for you. However, if you are going for a relaxing quiet getaway it is perfect! We enjoyed ourselves very much. The only suggestion that I would make is to add that you are in a dry town and other than the brewery there is no place to get a beer. This is not a problem but would have brought some with me if I had known.
