Cozy Colonial

We stayed to attend my son’s graduation from VT. The house was perfect for us and all the grandparents. We loved sitting on the back porch. Just beautiful. I left a dress in the closet and the owners were kind enough to mail them back to me. Highly recommend for big families.

Peaceful Weekend

We stayed at this lovely and large home with family to attend a wedding nearby. Plenty of room and the location was wonderful. The quiet country setting was just what we needed for a relaxing and peaceful weekend. Highly recommended. The hosts were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

Weekend Stay

I never received the code for entry via email. I assumed incorrectly that it would be texted prior to my arrival so I had to bother the host for the code. There were leaves covering the deck area with no broom to remove them. Upon entering there was a note on the blinking dishwasher that a new one had been ordered. As a party of 5, this would have been handy information to know prior to arrival. The property is beautiful but very dusty. Also, the banister at the top of the stairs is very loose and the upper deck is frightfully loose with a post it note advising one not to lean on railing. Otherwise, this was a nice home with a beautiful yard and nice walking area.

Beautiful and peaceful location

Enjoyed the beautiful views and peaceful surroundings during our short stay. Large home with plenty of space. Older home is undergoing some upgrades. It is the opposite of “recently remodeled”. With that said, we were comfortable. Communication with host was outstanding!

Overall not to bad

We absolutely love the area, and the property. The house was a neat old house. There were a few cleanliness issues that were addressed with the owners, who were very kind and quick to respond. It’s about a 40 minute drive to the stadium, but a very pretty one, and it doesn’t feel like a long drive. Accessible to town, and a grocery store, but far enough out to not feel constricted. The master room was spacious and comfy. The other 2 bedrooms were comfy, but a little warm at night (small fans are provided). Big yard to play in if you have littles. Overall a decent stay, in a wonderful area!

Reunion

The house was musty due to lack of renters. The owners need to DRASTICALLY need to update/remodel if they are wanting to keep this as a rental. Everything is very outdated, but it was still a nice rental. May consider again.

Good way to beat the VT price gouging

If you can handle less than optimal water pressure, this place is big, clean, comfortable and has great wifi, tv options about 40-45min from VT. Alec is very responsive and if weren't in Blacksburg for most of our stay, we could have made more use of the property.

Nice stay

We had a very nice overnight stay to break up a long trip back North. The house was as advertised and fit the requirements for our family of 6. We would have loved to use the yard to play catch but the weather wasn’t appropriate. Our kids were excited to have multiple locations to watch tv instead.

Peaceful and Tranquil

Awesome halfway stop between Ohio and Myrtle. Decently close to highway and more economical than two hotel rooms. Plenty of space, great view of nature and felt like home!!

Amazing home and host

The house is absolutely beautiful! The King bed and couch in the living room were both soooo comfortable. We liked this place so much we stayed twice (Once on the way to the beach and again on the way back). Check in process was super easy and the host was wonderful. Would recommend if you are going to be in the area

Beautiful location, but the property was lacking

The location is beyond spectacular! However, the house is in some disrepair: the railings around porches were rickety and rotten, the newel post at the top of the stairs is loose and shaky, the stair rail is about 2 feet shy of a safe length, electrical things were hanging by the wires instead of attached to the wall, there were holes in the walls of the master bath and laundry room, places in the master shower were patched with duct tape, and the whole house had a terrible moldy musty smell. We do not recommend this property until the owner does a lot of repairs.

Scenic Rural Charmer

A charming older home in a rural scenic setting, with deer roaming the backyard from the grove of pines. Great layout for larger groups with plenty of space to hang out. The house has character and it would be fun to learn more about its history.

Nice property

Our family used this property as a stop on a road trip. We liked it so much that we stopped here on the way back as well. It looks like a home that has been lovingly cared for and is being updated. They've done a great job. Clean, exceptionally roomy, with many rooms and spots to hang out, including a spacious sunroom. Pretty and serene neighborhood. Good internet connection to work if needed. Would recommend that owner put away personal belongings and foods so it is more of a typical rental. Note that there is a ring doorbell at the front door and possibly a security camera overlooking the driveway (we weren't 100% sure if it was a camera but definitely a ring doorbell.)
