Bass lake getaway
The location was perfect. Had our boat slip right down the street. Was nice for a grilling area and nice to be able to be at the boat dock and swim with all the kids.

Enough room for a big family. Maybe some extra toilet paper will make it better.

Home away from home
The Robinson house is a beautiful home with a warm, clean, bright, rustic field to it. The property owners have anticipated your needs, and have almost every appliance in utensil that you will need to feel at home. If you have trouble climbing stairs, this is not the house for you. We rented the house while we were at Bass Lake for my daughters wedding. It’s a small trek, about 3 miles to the Pines resort. It was convenient and a refreshing alternative to the chalets and lodge. Highly recommend!

Spacious cabin
I miss this cabin already! Just waking up and opening the blinds to see the fresh air of clouds and the lake view, is breath taking. I would book this cabin again next year. Only thing is the microwave connected to the wall was broken and the filter on the bottom was sticking out which made it a lil hard for my family and I to cook besides that we all had so much fun and did not want to leave at all.

Great Family trip
The house was amazing, mostly clean, close to the water. Perfect for our family get together. It was a great time. The grill was dirty when we arrived and the propane tanks near empty but other than that everything was perfect. But that aside we still had other options to cook with so it really wasn’t that big of a deal.

Very spacious home! Close to lake that we mostly drove to, but we were able to walk if needed. Short drive to to town.

Spacious and cozy!
The house is spacious and very comfortably fit our large group of 12. Open floor plan helped us all enjoy our time together. This is my second time staying in this house and I will definitely be staying there again.

Beautiful Rental
Spacious and open, comfortable for the eight of us. The layout of the home was great. Definitely could’ve used a few personal touches. Many of the lightbulbs were out, cobwebs, and a really dusty fan in the high ceiling that is eye level on the second floor. The kids were sad that the foosball table didn’t have a ball. No soap for the showers, no foil or Ziploc’s, and while the listing said coffee maker, it’s actually a Keurig. Would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. Just a few things we would’ve appreciated. Also, I think renters should be told of the unfinished downstairs. It’s actually a little creepy down there but that’s how you get to the garage.

More to be desired
I'll start with the PROS: Large home with plenty of space for our (extended) family of 11. Each couple had their own bedroom and then we split the kids up between the remaining two bedrooms, so everyone had a bed. The house itself is within close proximity to the lake and the use of the private boat slip was definitely the best part of this property. CONS: House needs a deep clean from top to bottom. Baseboards, light fixtures, a/c vents, bedroom furniture all had a thick layer of dust, dirt, hair that has accumulated. Downstairs half bathroom was not clean at all when we checked in. Carpet was not vacuumed well and needs professional cleaning. Has a weird odor coming from it and a big stain that goes from the top to the bottom of the staircase going down to the garage. Kitchen cabinets all need to be wiped down inside and out. Many of the dishes we had to wash before using bc they were either not cleaned, dusty or had dead bugs in them. Massive spider webs hanging from the ceiling. I contacted the property management and they sent someone out the next morning, however she only stayed for an hour to "touch-up", which included cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming the stairs and getting some cobwebs. I couldn't really tell what else she did because everything else remained dirty. There was ONE roll of paper towels, two extra rolls of toilet paper and ONE trash bag. For 11 people for 7 nights. There is no welcome packet or information about the specific property to reference, so we were surprised by this and the fact that the house is barely stocked with anything beyond bath towels and mis-matched kitchen essentials. Hand soap was either almost gone or watered down as well. I would not classify this property as "luxury". I think that is misleading. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice house, but the accommodations were average at best. The house is just not maintained or cared for very well to be using the word "luxury" in the title of this listing. Walls had marks on them, holes from missing screws in several places, beat-up, ripped furniture (couch, lamp and foosball table) upstairs. The large dining table is a plus, but only has 6 chairs. There was random stuff thrown in cabinets throughout the house, trash and left behind socks under beds, dirty towels on the back of bedroom doors. Perhaps this property hasn't been rented out in awhile or the housekeeping company is short-staffed and they're cutting corners, I don't know. I hope they do better.

Do your research
Check in was a nightmare they have a sign out front to text for the keys at the rental office I text and about four other groups of people showed up and they got them keys And they didn’t even call or text so I guess it’s wait by the door For keys not text. House was nice a lot of stairs. Still doing some remodeling work on the lower floor. The driveway is a challenge if you don’t have a truck. Some distance from the lake. They sure do charge a hefty cleaning fee for someone to just come in and wash sheets and blankets we cleaned everything else. Place was nice but it sure was a hassle if you can find somewhere else I would advise it.

Had a great time!
We had a great time celebrating my parent's 50th anniversary! One of the reasons we chose Bass Lake was it's proximity to Yosemite, which had been closed for months due to the coronavirus. Fortunately it re-opened the day of our arrival! So we were able to drive the 1.5 hours to Yosemite Valley and enjoy the impressive sights and hiking trails for the first time, which was so worth it. Our family brought some kayaks and made good use of the assigned slip, which was a little ways down the road. I'd recommend taking a car to the docks as it's a bit of a walk, especially for older folks. The cabin itself was great, very clean, plenty of room for the 10 of us. We loved the huge windows in front, however there were no blinds/curtains for the top large windows, so when the sun shines through, it really heats up the room and is blindingly bright. We got there at peak sunshine for the cabin so it was hot inside and the couches in the sun were too warm to sit in. FYI, the thermostat is upstairs, which took us a bit to find so we could start cooling down the house. There's just 1 bathroom upstairs for the 4 bedrooms, so getting a shower required a bit of patience. We could have made use of the shower in the master bathroom downstairs as well, but wanted to leave that for my folks. There's another bathroom (no shower) downstairs as well as another bare bones bathroom (no shower) at the garage level, so 4 bathrooms, with 2 showers total. The master bedroom and bathroom were huge and really nice! The master bedroom also has a huge walk-in closet that my wife was very jealous of. In case the 5 bedrooms won't sleep everyone, the upstairs couch has a pullout bed, and the walk-in closet in the master bedroom also had an inflatable mattress. We didn't make use of either but having that flexibility is great. The driveway is a bit of a challenge, it's kind of a steep incline that curves a bit, which wasn't a problem for our SUV's, but cars with low clearance might scrape a bit. We did have a minor issue with the check-in process. I never received the instructions for how to get keys, even after asking the night before our arrival. My folks arrived before us, so I wound up calling management from the road, and they had to drive to the management office to pickup the keys, which is at the north end of the lake. I was hoping it'd just be a lockbox with a code at the cabin, no biggie, just wish I knew ahead of time.
