Mark was super cool. The place we stayed was awesome. We had no issues at all. Outdoor patio had a nice view of the lake. Thank yoy Mark for hosting us. We would most definitely like to visit Tenkiller again. And hopefully be your guest again 🤠❤️
Great little house on Tenkiller Lake, close to Illinois River!
3 friends & I rented this place for a girls getaway to float the Illinois River, but we wanted a nice place to stay with A/C. It was only a 20-30 min drive to the float outfitter on the Illinois River. The house was the perfect size for our group and decorated so cute. We enjoyed eating breakfast out on the covered patio and watching the sun rise. The view of the lake is beautiful. Only disappointments were no coffee filters provided with the coffee machine (I guess we're always used to those being provided at other VRBO's) and the ignitor on the grill did not work and there was no stick lighter inside the house for us to use to light the grill. Other than those two things, everything else was great. Would recommend this place to others and would stay here again.
To start with, we drove around for an hour on the opposite side of the lake, following the directions we got from clicking on the address link provided on our confirmation. We finally typed the address in our google maps which took us there. Found the deck to be unusable, due to only about 4 feet of it being covered and a “gas grill” that looked like it had been rescued from a landfill. We had to go get charcoal and use it as a charcoal grill. It is only a lake view if you can overlook the half torn down chain link fence and rooftop between the deck and the lake. Inside was decorated cutely, but not stocked for actual use. The sign in the kitchen that reads, “this kitchen is for dancing” sums it up. It certainly isn’t for preparing a meal. We had to make a trip to the store to get the bare essentials for our two night stay. Many of the kitchen items that were there, including drinking glasses still had the price stickers on them, so we had to wash them before using them. There were literally 2 squares of paper towels left on the roll, an empty toilet paper cardboard roll in one bathroom and a half empty in the other with no extras anywhere. Refrigerator had not been wiped clean inside or out. The bedroom air conditioner leaked. In our opinion, this listing was misleading, and this property needs some attention.
Lovely view add a very quaint little home. Plenty of room for the two of us, enjoy the decor and the fantastic view of the lake. I would highly recommend this place and would also suggest that you bring coffee, and your extra shampoo conditioner and body wash. The manager owner was very accommodating and we hope to stay there again in the future.
