About this property

Pet Friendly Adventure Home

Recently updated home that is pet friendly and perfect for families or groups of friends. It's a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home with a fully stocked kitchen and access to washer and dryer. Each bedroom has a desk and fast Wi-Fi (1 Gbps) is available throughout the house, perfect for work, streaming, or gaming. The house is located on a corner lot with lots of street parking available along the property line, as well as a 2-car driveway. There is no garage access.

The house can host up to 6 guests, although it may be more comfortable with 4. The front room boasts a 72" mounted smart TV with a reclining couch and loveseat, with plenty of space to lay down and watch a movie.

Pets are welcome! I just ask that you respect the furniture/home and clean up after them in the yard. The backyard is fully fenced and available to them, although the landscape hasn't been updated yet and may have weeds. The front yard is being worked on - the grass is being replaced with clover and wildflowers which are much more water conscious and a better fit for the desert landscape.

But don't worry, Bi-Centennial Park is just across the street (about a 1 min walk) with plenty of green grass to hang out and let your furry friend(s) get their energy out. The park also offers open barbecue/patio areas, baseball fields, a playground, skate park, and brand new pickleball courts!

Also located at the end of Coal Creek Trail, this location is the perfect place to explore some of the outdoorsy parts of town. If you follow the trail, it will take you by the heart of town, underneath Main Street, and all the way up to Cedar Canyon which is known for its beautiful scenery and red rock. The trail is 3.5 miles long, paved, perfect for walking or biking, and passes along 3 different city parks.

Burger Alley (200 N) is about a mile away and has tons of different fast-food options, as well as some local cuisine. Main street also boasts lots of food options, ranging from local burger joints to well-known sit-down chains.

If you're looking to explore a wider area, Cedar City sits roughly 45 minutes north of St. George (near Zion National Park and Snow Canyon), and about 45 minutes southwest of Brianhead (known for its skiing/snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking and Cedar Breaks in the summer). Further east you'll find Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante, and Capitol Reef. I-15 also runs right through Cedar City, which makes it a great stopping place between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.

Attention: This home is inclusive and available to all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc. If you are intolerant of other people for these reasons, then this house is not a good fit for you and I suggest you look elsewhere for your stay. I am not trying to be rude, but I have had guests deface simple LGBT decor. I am LGBT myself and it's demeaning to me personally (and the broader community) when this happens. We don't have to share the same views - I simply request that we be sympathetic and respectful to each other. The decor is not overbearing or vulgar. Please be respectful. If you're able to do that - then welcome!! You will love your stay.

Great overnight stay!

The title lives up to the name. This pet friendly home was a prefect overnight stay for my dog and I. No issues with the check in process. The check out process was reasonable and easy. The house was clean and the location was close to many restaurants. I was concerned about some of the building materials in the backyard but my dog was fine. Thank you!

This was a horrible stay

Truly awful experience the host was there frantically cleaning because the property wasn’t ready when we arrived. The master bedroom smelled like human piss. We had a horrible time & left asap.

Perfect stay

This was the perfect stay for my daughter, fiancé and 2 dogs. The house provided us with everything we needed. The dogs had plenty space to run around the backyard, there was plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking and more than enough space we needed for our weekend getaway. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area again.

Family and Fido stay

The house and fenced yard were dog friendly. The house is located across the street from a large park with a playground and walking trails. The beds were clean and comfortable. The house did appear to have some interior spaces that were unfinished and under construction. There was a sign on the laundry room door stating the construction was happening. The laundry room was accessible and usable. There was no information in the description about the house stating there was construction happening in the house during our stay. This was a bit disappointing. The yard also requires some TLC. This was stated by other people who stayed at the house in the past comments so I was not surprised. There were no visible weeds in the yard but my dog did come in with goat heads in his feet and fur. The yard definitely needs a full makeover and cleaning.

Great Stay!!

We had a great stay; we were there visiting our daughter at SUU and house was very clean and organized (loved the labels for everything in the kitchen). The house had everything we needed and close to everywhere we wanted to go. Would defiantly stay again.

Didn’t Stay

We had every intention of staying but ended up deciding to drive the rest of the way home from our trip after about 20 minutes. We were all looking forward to getting home. Overall the house was clean with great decor and furniture. Looked to be in the process of renovation but inviting. We would consider staying there again if we were passing through.

Comfy for all

This home is so comfortable especially with a dog! The house is clean and well appointed. I was able to cook several meals and didn’t miss any kitchenware. The beds were so comfortable (I need to ask the owner what kind they were)! The backyard was just fine for my dog to do his business and loved to lounge on the cement patio. If I find myself in Cedar City again I wouldn’t hesitate renting this home!

A night of rest before continuing on

This manager offers a property they took enough animals for me to stop for the night. Communication was easy and seamless. Property looks nice the neighborhood is quiet. It’s easy to find with driveway parking. Couldn’t have asked for more. Would stay again if I’m ever on another road trip.

first time renting an air B&B

This was the first time renting an air B&B. We were taking our daughter to collage and needed a convenient place to stay close to the school. It was a nice house and felt close to home. The Manager of the property was very helpful and made our stay easy and non-hassle. They had all the amenities we needed. The property was well cleaned as far as we could tell. We would stay there again.

Cute house but dirty

This is really a cute house that has been modernized and was really quite nice. That being said, other than clean linens and towels, everything else was dirty. There was food in the sink, floors had grit and grime, and hair on everything. The host was good to refund some of the stay, but we stayed up an hour until 11pm cleaning to make it habitable. If they get it cleaned, I would stay again, but I’d confirm before staying again.

Cedar City

Cleanliness was a major issue. Looked clean at first glance but smelled musty and slightly greasy throughout. Backyard was knee high with weeds called fox tail that can be extremely painful if dogs get in nose or pads of feet as they are barbed and will not come out easily. Not dog friendly as described.

Short stay

Home did the job, was clean and ready for our short stay as we needed a place to stay for us and dogs for the night. I would have liked the yard to be in better shape for the dogs as there were goat heads and cheat instead of green grass. Other than that it was a nice home to stay in for the night

About the host

Host profile image
Born and raised in Arizona, I moved to Cedar City for college and obtained my Bachelor's degree from SUU. My degree is in Business Management, but I currently work as a software developer. I enjoy motorcycling and gaming, and I've recently gotten into 3D printing and hydroponic farming. I run this VRBO by myself on top of my standard full-time job, other than my cleaners who do a great job at keeping the place up and running.

I remodeled the interior of the property by myself, teaching myself the necessary skills as I went along. It may not have been a perfect job, but I put a lot of time, energy, and care into creating a better living space that I now get to share with other people.

All-in-all, I'm just a guy trying to live his best life and help others do the same.

Why they chose this property

Cedar City is a gorgeous place in between St. George and Brainhead. I enjoy this specific neighborhood because of its proximity to the end of Coal Creek Trail and the local park (with patios/grills, open grass fields, baseball fields, and skatepark). Following Coal Creek Trail will take you through the heart of Cedar City and all the way up to Cedar Canyon. It is also bike/pedestrian and pet friendly.

What makes this property unique

This property is a comfortable stay perfect for families and friend groups alike, whether you're just passing through or looking to stay and explore the area.
