About this property

Cois Easa - By the Falls, Collooney, Sligo

Welcome to Cois Easa, a stunning three bedroom holiday home on the banks of the Owenmore river close by the Mill Falls Waterfall. Newly, beautifully renovated and fully furnished with all amenities, it can host 6 adult guests. The townhouse lies in a private estate in the town of Collooney, Co. Sligo along the Wild Atlantic Way, only a ten minute drive from Sligo town (12km). Enjoy golfing, surfing, fishing, horse riding, hiking or just relax at one of the many unspoiled beaches nearby!

Renovated in March 2022, Cois Easa is located in Collooney, a Tidy Town in Northwest Ireland. Cois Easa, meaning „by the falls“ in Irish, lies directly on the banks of the Owenmore River, by the waterfall and the Old Mill, which dates back to the 18th century. Collooney town centre is a mere 5 minute stroll away. Here, you have a choice of supermarkets, take-aways and pubs; or enjoy a barista coffee at award winning Nook Cafe and Restaurant.

The house is situated in a quiet cul de sac at the end of the street with convenient parking to the front, just beside the river.
The ground floor hosts a modern, open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Relax after a busy day exploring on either of the two comfortable 2 1/2 seater sofas, or in the armchair beside the coffee table. Prepare an authentic Irish breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen with the necessary essentials, such as a Coffee Machine, Kettle, Toaster, Microwave/Grill, Fridge Freezer, built-in Electric Oven and Hob. Plenty of crockery and glasses are supplied. A Dishwasher and a Washer/Dryer are also available. The dining area is set up with four chairs but can accommodate up to six people with two extra chairs available.

The two bedrooms on the ground floor face towards the communal garden area. One bedroom can be set up either as a single or double bed. The other bedroom features a double bed. The guest bathroom has an electric shower. Jackets and shoes can be conveniently stored in the cloakroom at the end of the hall.

The bright and airy master bedroom with a large ensuite bathroom is located on the first floor. Stretch out on the super king size bed or enjoy the beautiful views overlooking the Owenmore River. A dressing table/laptop desk, chair and full size mirror are also at your disposable. There are two storage rooms to accommodate all your luggage on this floor.

Beautiful Collooney
This property was pristine, spacious and homey! The neighborhood is quiet. The property is 10 minutes outside of Sligo town. There are beaches, beautiful mountains and gorgeous landscapes in the area! We highly recommend this property!

A lovely break
We stayed at the property for 8 nights. The house was very clean and had new quality fixtures, fittings, appliances etc. It was ideally suited for walking both coastal and hills and we can recommend both Shankhill and Union Hill for interesting walks. We also visited Ariana Mines which I can really recommend particularly if you get a very wet day. I can fully recommend this property for a trip to this beautiful area of Ireland.

Parfait !

We’d stay here again!
Great location close to the highway, yet in a quiet neighborhood and friendly town, this flat was immaculately clean and well-appointed. The mill race, waterfalls and river was an added bonus we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again.

High quality, well equipped property
I stayed at the property for three nights in June. The property is finished to a high specification and was comfortable. Although there isn't much to do in Collooney, it made for an excellent base for exploring the Sligo, Mayo and Donegal counties. Overall, I was really pleased with my stay and found the property to be good value for money. Would stay again if I was visiting the area. It was very clean/well presented. Couple of very minor suggestions/things to note- the en-suite could do with a blind as the neighbouring balcony could look straight in. As has been mentioned before, the curtains in the main bedroom are a bit thin, so if light disturbs your sleep, you would do well to sleep in one of the other bedrooms downstairs. I couldn't find a grill pan, so cooked my breakfasts in the frying pan. It might have been there somewhere - and this was such a minor issue I didn't contact the owner. The TV signal disappeared mid-way through the stay, but I couldn't work out how to get it back. However, I was able to still use the on-demand services and I wasn't at the property during the day so it was okay. A fan might be useful as I was hot in the master bedroom (no heating on). I'm not a fan of the booking system, where you have to wait for the owner to acknowledge the request. Only because it was a nervous wait when I also had to book other accommodation elsewhere for the second leg of the trip and I had to co-ordinate flights. However, the response was relatively quick.

Beautiful, quiet spot in charming village
Waterfall, bird song, and a short walk to two local pubs. Perfect! Worked very well for our group of 6 adults. Great hiking nearby and we found lots of good places to eat. Don't miss The Nook right up the street, and Cullen’s pub for a chance to have a pint with the locals. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

A beautiful modern home with lovely accommodations. Nicely located in beautiful Sligo county with easy access to ancient and new Ireland attractions. Neighborhood is very friendly and welcoming, with a beautiful river and falls located on the property. I’d go again and again.

Wonderful stay in Sligo!!
Denise's instruction for check in were simple and very easy to follow. The rental itself was true to photos and perfect for our stay!! Plenty of room for 4 adults, clean, updated and comfortable beds. The rental was situated in a small town that had walking access to a couple pubs and cafés and we were very happy with the location in relation to areas we wanted to visit. Highly recommend Denise and staying in beautiful Sligo/Ireland country.
