Cozy and roomy cottage

This original grove keepers cottage with original tractor barn which once laid claim to an expansive working orange grove in the 1940's. Although the grove has been sold off and developed over the years the remaining 1 acre provides a private tropical sanctuary for its guest in the geographic center of charming Dunedin. .
Cottage #1, has a fireplace, Cottage #2 has tiki hut .

Less 10 minutes and you will be to the quaint shops and restaurants and right 15 minutes to Dunedin causeway and Honeymoon Island State Park. "About the property" as pictures illustrate, The gated property is a tropical oasis that the owners have nurtured over the last 20 years. Enjoy vistas of native and subtropical plants and trees. Start your day with a stretch in the private Zen garden, yoga mats provided.

Feed the turtles and Koi in the Koi pond. Take a dip in the lagoon pool (not heated) or just relax on the hammock under the tiki hut. Landscape lights on at night create a romantic setting for couples. "About the cottage", dine in style inside or out, upscale Bohemian furnishings combine with eclectic original artwork set the stage for a truly awesome holiday experience. You will be hooked and be back like so many of our guests, again and again.

Perfect!

We really enjoyed this property! It was like being in a tropical garden. We stayed in the Mermaid Cottage for our 30th anniversary. Very convenient to downtown Dunedin and Honeymoon Island & Caladesi State Parks. Several good restaurants and breweries close by. Owners live on site and were very friendly.

Tranquil Stay near Honeymoon Island

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is clean and well maintained. The owners did a great job creating a little tropical oasis where you can kick back and relax. Our favorite part was the hot tub. Especially at this time of the year when the temperatures drop at night. Only a 15 minute drive to Honeymoon Island State Park. The room includes beach towels. They also have a few beach chairs and bikes that you can use while you're there. Recommend eating at Prohibition Dunedin. The brisket was delicious.

Tropical Oasis

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place. There is more than one cottage on the property, which I don’t recall if that was mentioned in the listing, but each one is pretty private. Absolutely loved the lush tropical gardens with whimsical yard art, wind chimes, fountains, swings, hammocks, and colorful lighting in every nook and cranny. The turtle/fish pond was delightful. The swimming pool very relaxing. Inside the cottage was just as adorable as the outdoors. Location is conveniently close to (but not walkable to) historic downtown Dunedin and beaches. It’s located off a Main Street and next to a mobile home community, but once you drive in, you are transported to a tropical oasis. Would definitely return!!

Surprising Slice of Paradise

My husband and I loved our mid-week stay at this property. As soon as we pulled through the front gate, we were greeted with beautiful tropical landscaping and so many thoughtful features. The turtle and koi pond were lovely and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub too. Drinking our morning coffee by the pool was perfect. Our rental included everything I can think of, was super clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were very impressed with the level of attention to detail. Would definitely come again and highly recommend as the perfect little getaway spot and a great launchpad to explore Pinellas county.

Tropical oasis

My husband and I had driven to Miami to visit our son and then wanted to spend some time on the gulf. 2 nights was not enough. We could have stayed another day or two easily. We enjoyed the pool and foliage immensely. If you need a retreat from the craziness, this is the place.

A sweet paradise near Dunedin Downtown

We really enjoyed our stay, the property is absolutely perfect, a short drive to downtown and other area attractions like Safety Harbor. Property is in great condition, clean, beautiful and comfortable. We would love to stay again!

Getaway in Dunedin

Beautiful property. Everything was very clean on the inside and the outside and surrounded area was so beautiful! Such a relaxing and mellow vibe with the years of landscape and palms they have . Definitely a peaceful oasis. This one is a must visit! I hope we will be returning in the near future.

Our stay at a Tropical Oasis

Recently, we had the pleasure of staying at the Grove Keeper's Collective. We were impressed immediately with the immaculate grounds teeming with lush tropical vegetation and picturesque fish and turtle ponds. Our stay in the Mermaid's Cottage was extremely comfortable and relaxing. It was very spacious and carefully planned out with lots of unique and artistic touches. The amenities, including the pool, hot tub, and grill were literally steps from our door. The location is quiet and mere minutes from downtown Dunedin. Lori and Gary could not have been kinder and more hospitable. They made sure we were very comfortable, and even invited us to a cookout! If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful location, this is truly the place. It really is a tropical oasis!

Top Notch

So if you want to hang out on the gulf coast. Go check out this property. It is clean, quiet, has comfortable furnishings and is tastefully decorated. The landscaping and outdoor amenities are exceptional. Bye the way the property owners are gracious hosts and not intrusive in the least. Don't waste your money on overrated, overpriced hotels. You won't be disappointed.

Tropical Paradise

What a beautiful place! The grounds were very tropical and beautiful! We enjoyed the pool area and we were the only ones that seemed to be enjoying it! The pond was beautiful too. Inside our mermaid cottage was beautifully decorated and spacious. We want to come back soon!

This place is beyond beautiful! Pictures and words don't do justice! Very clean and accommodating!

The process of renting the property was so smooth. Lori was always quick to reply with any questions I had. The property itself was very well taken care of. You can see that the owners take much pride in their rentals. The homes were fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location was also conveniently close to the ocean and shops around town. My daughter and I took this trip together for some bonding and memory making. We are so in love with Dunedin, we plan to come back soon to visit with my husband so he can fall in love, too. Then in 2-3 years, we're moving here!! Dunedin is heaven on earth!!

Tropical Getaway In Town

Serine zenlike gardens for a relaxing getaway with easy access to all amenities Dunedin has to offer. Lagoon style pool and hot tub. Wonderful grilling and lounging areas. Our dog Daisy was fascinated watching the turtles and fish in the coy pond. Gary and Lori are wonderful hosts.

Dunedin escape

Great location to walk to town, shore, bike path. Many restaurants and activities close by. Stores are convenient if you stay in and cook. Well appointed flats with everything you need. Grounds we well landscaped to provide privacy and many places to sit and relax.
