We had a great experience at this property. It was centrally located, an easy 20 min drive to the airport and easy drive to the tram and restaurants. Comfortable and homey!
Terrific place! Super clean and just so cute inside! Great views of the mountains and city lights at night! Hosts were super accommodating! Will definitely be back!
Amazing communication!! I would give Diane 100 stars if I could. She reached out prior to arrival, once we arrived, and every day we were there. She gave step-by-step instructions on how to get to the home’s location. She made sure that lights were on at night so we could see our way upstairs safely. The apartment was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed and then some! The space had a very homey feel and was centrally located for anywhere we wanted to go. We were there for the Balloon Fiesta and anytime I return to the area I would definitely reach out to Diane again! Not one bad thing to say.
In town for Conference at Sandia Casino. This location proved to be perfect for our needs.Less than 10 minutes from conference site. Beautiful surroundings and thoughtful hostess - she even provided muffins for our breakfast. We appreciated this since we had arrived fairly late. Views from property are awesome. Very clean. Check in was easy. Communication with Diane before visit was good and she answered any question we had quickly. Would recommend this property.
We really appreciated how quiet, comfortable, and safe the apartment is. The location had great and very cool views of the Sandia mountain sunrise and sunsets over the city. It was close to all of the hiking trails we hiked and wasn’t in a (too) busy location. Communicating with the hosts was easy and they have great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We will stay again when we return to the area.
It was so relaxing with beautiful veiws from the porches. Every morning while enjoying my coffee on the porch there were hot air balloons in the distance to watch and hummingbirds saying good morning . The little touches that Diane provided made us feel right at home.
I highly recommend this place and I will be coming back! Thanks again!
Do you want a quiet, clean, and safe place to stay while you are in Albuquerque? If that is the case then this property is the whole package. Your host communicates with you at appropriate times, all the amenities are provided to make your stay pleasant, and the check out process is easy to follow. Can’t wait to stay there again.
This is now my "go to" place when I go to Albuquerque. First the location. You have easy access to a main thoroughfare in Northern Albuquerque, but the property nis quiet and convenient to dining options. The property is clean and stocked with all the necessary amenities for either a short-term or long-term stay. Finally, the property manager is dedicated to making your stay as pleasant as possible and is extremely responsive as to questions or concerns.
As a retired university professor, I think in terms of grades. This perfect getaway earned a unique grade of 3 C's: that is, charming, cozy, and comfortable. An oasis in a busy city. We could enjoy all that Albuquerque has to offer and come back to a peaceful, quiet, lovely setting. Diane has organized the space to maximize her guests' needs. She was responsive from our first inquiry to the last. We are looking forward to a return visit.
What a lovely place to "get away" in Albuquerque. The Lee's have created a little haven atop their home, and this apartment has the best sunset views, as well as sweet balcony/deck spots for watching the light play across the mountains or the balloons rise over the city.
The property was easy to access, and as woman traveling alone I really appreciated how safe I felt here with the external and stairway lighting and gated parking. The apartment was clean and roomy, the bed was "do I have to get up" comfortable, and the open floor plan kitchen/dining/living area was bright and cheerful with space for relaxing, studying, eating, and working. The views should probably have their own paragraph. I'll just say fantastic. Or spectacular.
The Lees shared a folder with info on some of their favorite spots around the area, and even though a family emergency arose which took them out of town, I felt I could contact them with any needs or questions that arose. (Honestly, I needed nothing. Everything was here.)
I wasn't feeling well some of the time, so I ended up "eating in" and doing a bit more cooking than maybe the typical VRBO visitor, but I would have been glad for a hot plate to cook on or an electric skillet closer to fullsize. Such small issues.
Communicating was easy from my first inquiries with fast responses, and the Lees were kindly flexible in what I needed as far as time frame for my visit.
Next time I'm in the area, this is where I'll stay!!
I stayed at this property for a week so I could work remotely in a quiet space while visiting family and friends. This place not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. It was such a treat to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day from the balconies. The hosts provided thoughtful touches like motion-sensitive night lights in the hallway and travel-sized toiletries, and immediately answered my questions when I reached out. I truly enjoyed my stay and hope to come back again in the future.
I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 9, married to the love of my life for over 40 years! We have called Albuquerque home for 36 years. We have loved traveling all over the country with VRBO for many years now but in 2018 we had the opportunity to remodel our dream home! We bought a horse barn with an upstairs apartment on an acre in beautiful NE Albuquerque. We slowly dismantled the barn and created a 4 bd/ 4 bath house. We finished our home just in time to move in and get settled when the pandemic hit. We used that time to social distance and work on creating a unique private apartment on the upper floor of our house. We are finally able to share it here on VRBO! We look forward to this new chapter and sharing our glorious views, comfortable setting and our unique city with wonderful guests!
Why they chose this property
We were drawn to this area because of the views of Sandia Peak. This 10k foot mountain is the centerpiece of Albuquerque and we are blessed to have unobstructed views from most of our windows. The back deck of the apartment has the best views, with the mountain to the northeast and the valley with it's amazing sunsets and city lights to the southwest. You can even see Mount Taylor which is 80 miles away! We are close enough to Balloon Fiesta park to see the balloons floating across the western horizon during Fiesta. We have a hang glider landing park just 2 blocks north of us and enjoy watching them circle and land. We love the open space behind our property where we see quail, road runners, rabbits and the occasional bobcat and coyote. We are close to restaurants and stores but still maintain the feel of country. Our gated acre has a brick patio, fire pit, fountain and BBQ grill which is available upon request. We think it's pretty perfect. We think you will too!
What makes this property unique
Incredible mountain and city views, Country feel in a city setting, hiking, Sandia peak tram and ice skating 2 miles away . We're hoping the ski area at the top of the tram opens in 2025!
