2BR/1BA Bourbon Bungalow - Expo Center

Perfect accommodations to WALK to Churchill Downs for The Kentucky Derby! Only a 650 ft. walk to the gate--you can't park closer than this! The house is close to the airport, and just 3 miles from Downtown. A home away from home with all of the amenities and none of the hassle. Our home is perfect for a getaway to see races!

Beautiful and spacious living room and dining areas, perfect for small groups. Two bedrooms and one bath on the main floor with a full kitchen and plenty of room. This home screams the culture of Kentucky and the “Run for the Roses”!

The kitchen is updated with a few original features left for an eclectic touch. You should have everything that you need to make great meals on site, minus the food. Coffee is provided to help jump start your mornings. Watch the sunset on the twin spires from your front porch!

-Motion and audio recording devices are located near the front door and back door on the exterior of the unit. We fully respect the privacy of all of our guests. These devices only record video and audio on the exterior of the home facing the front and rear areas of the home. The automatic recordings are triggered by motion and noise. These devices are present solely for the safety and security of our guests.

-Television and Wifi available (no cable, streaming through your personal accounts only)

Access to the house is through the front door. There is a keypad with code for access.

We are located directly across from historic Churchill Downs. Park in our private rear parking area and enjoy a nice walk to the track. We are also centrally located to several expressways, including I-65 and the Watterson Expressway.

Uber and Lyft are readily available through their apps. Louisville also offers many Taxi, limousine, and shuttle services.

RENTAL AGREEMENT: Guests are required to sign all Rental Agreements prior to check in. If guests refuse to sign the rental agreement, the cancellation policy will still apply.

KENTUCKY DERBY: All Kentucky Derby week/weekend reservations are non refundable, regardless of whether or not a rental agreement has been signed.

Easy Access to Expo Center
Great property right next to Churchill Downs. Just a short drive to Expo Center. Nice size bedrooms, kitchen and family room. Easy parking. Everything was well communicated and hassle free. Definitely recommend.

Exactly as described
This bungalow was exactly as described. It was very well maintained and decorated in a bourbon barrel and Kentucky Derby theme. This was appropriate since it was literally across the street from Churchill downs. Lots to do and places to eat in the area. If you have extra time, I highly recommend The Arc Encounter just 90 minutes away. I would most definitely stay here again.

Bourbon Trail Home Base
Great location close to the airport and downtown. Came into town late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and we were happy to find parking right out front. Got our bags and went into our home for the next 4 nights. Absolutely loved the decor and wish I had more time to check out the books around the house. It was me and my dad, so the two bedrooms and bath were perfect. Only saw one neighbor the whole time we were there and he was friendly. He has a cool cat too. Enjoyed the evenings and mornings on the front porch sipping bourbon and “Kentucky Mules”. This would be an epic stay for the Kentucky Derby as Churchill Downs is literally across the street. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glasses, plates etc. Tons of TV stations to watch or do what we did and sign into Netflix. Washer and dryer came in handy for starting fresh on our next leg in Nashville. Would love to come back again someday. P.S. If anyone finds my Mini Griptilian, please send it to me in San Diego.

150th Derby Weekend
Perfect location to stay for the Derby, short walk to the gates or a short walk if you are going to the infield, Sleeps 2 couples very comfortably. We had a great time at the 150th derby, we would stay here again!

Quaint Place for Getting Away
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We were quite impressed with the place. They had great decor, it was all clean, great wifi, and good communication. I'll admit, we were a little hesitant when we saw the place would charge a damage deposit (just have heard many stories of people losing deposits over very minor things), but we were extra careful and there were no issues. We definitely would recommend this location for anyone wanting a nice, cozy little space of your own with bourbon and equestrian flair.

The place is nice and clean and as presented. The neighborhood is a little questionable. I would not feel safe walking around in the evenings alone, however felt safe during the day.

This is a perfect place to stay when attending the Kentucky Derby or if you are going to spend time at Churchill Downs. It was perfect for the two of us. The neighborhood was very friendly. The house was very clean. We could walk anywere we needed to go. There is a grocery store near by and we stocked up so we didnt have to leave once we got there. Communication was simple through email and text messages. Over all was a great experience. I would absolutely do it again.

Super Convenient Location
Grounds were well kept by a friendly man we met while staying. Location is 10-15 from EVERYTHING. Only serious drawback was the lack of a working ventilation fan in the bathroom. Water spots are starting to accumulate on the ceiling in there. But the home is comfortable and charming overall, and I can't stress the convenience of the location to just about anything you'd want to do.
