About us:
Our Schoppe family has been living in the old brick factory in Mützingen for 30 years. We are the next generation: my wife, my little daughter, my little son and I have built the holiday home and furnished it with loving care. Most of the furniture (bed, kitchen, vanity, toilet stand, cloakroom, window sills) I made myself as a trained carpenter, so it is unique.
We have put a lot of love into details and placed value on high-quality furnishings and building materials. The exact planning, the building of the furniture and the procurement of the decorations and furnishings alone has taken almost a year. It was important to us not to just go through Ikea and everything is there. Many of the lamps, materials and decorative items are originals and some are over 100 years old and therefore tell a story. The whole design of our loft consists of a rustic modern style with lots of wood, but also industrial style influences. We wanted to make the room modern, but also keep it timeless and furnish it with as much natural material as possible. Our motto has always been, "We build everything the way we would want it to be, so that we feel as comfortable as possible during our vacation." Even though this attitude ultimately threw us a bit behind in our schedule and our budget, in the end we are very happy that we stuck to it. We were thrilled with the end product and we are proud of the result. We sincerely hope that it is also appealing for you and your family and we hope that you can spend unforgettable holidays in our holiday home where you will find everything you need.

Furnishing:
The loft was rebuilt in 2018. The house offers plenty of space to relax on about 65 m². The room concept is very open. In addition to the kitchen, the living, dining and sleeping area is also integrated in a large open space. The large solid wood bed (180x200 cm) made of old half-timbered beams dominates the sleeping area. The kitchen unit is also made of solid oak timber beams and a solid oak top that are over 100 years old. The kitchen area is modern and has a coffee machine, a toaster, kettle, a microwave, an oven, a dishwasher and a gas stove. We also provide our guests with the essentials with salt, pepper, coffee filters, sugar, sweeteners, tea bags, oils and spices. The living area has a fireplace, an XXL TV (48 inches), an XXL sofa area (which can also be used for sleeping), a DVD player, a music system and a large selection of board games (Monopoli, Risk, Ubongo, Hanabi, children's games and much more). There is also the possibility to have a nice DVD evening with one of the 700 DVDs. The bathroom is equipped with modern and high quality fittings and ceramics. It is tiled and has underfloor heating, even in the shower. The half-timbered beams that have always been used in the furnishings, as well as many other decorative objects or furniture, are real traditions. Some of the pieces are several hundred years old and therefore not modern vintage pieces from the furniture store. The roof terrace has a little over 30 square meters and thus offers guests enough space for a cozy breakfast under the open sky.
Outside there is also a seating area with a grill and fireplace for our guests. The highlight is our sauna with plunge pool and mini and tea bar. Our newest relaxation oasis is the large bath tub which is heated to the desired temperature with a wood stove. It offers space for up to 7 people and can be used both in summer and in winter. We also offer our guests a playground for the little ones with a slide, a sandpit, a children's kitchen, a seesaw motorbike and a swing, a marble run. The garden in all our holiday homes is very deliberately designed. Here it is our goal to counteract the death of insects today. As a result, we naturally also offer a natural habitat for many birds, squirrels and other animals such as hedgehogs. Many native shrubs, trees, flowers, fruit trees and plants grow in our outdoor areas. It should always be about 80% native plants to provide the insects with sufficient food and habitat. We offer a variety of birdhouses for the different bird species in order to facilitate the exhausting breeding and rearing of the young. The plots are surrounded by a Benjes hedge, which provides habitat and protection for many animals.
Environmentally friendly:
We only use organic cleaning agents to clean the house. We want to make a serious contribution to environmental protection. We also want to protect our guests from allergies or intolerances. The soaps, detergents and tabs for the dishwasher that we provide you with are of course organic. And our toilet paper is made from 100% recycled material.
In the same breath, we ask our guests to treat electricity, water and energy with care and not wastefully. Please don't let the heaters run and keep the window open all day. Or not only let the underfloor heating run because it is included in the price, but only when it is needed. The environment and we as the landlord will thank you.
Costs:
The cost is 69 euros per night. In general, the house is designed for two people, but one person could still sleep on the large sofa area and we could provide a toddler bed free of charge for small children, so we can also offer small families the opportunity to be our guests.
(Electricity, water, firewood and garbage are included)

Location:
Mützingen is a small town in the Wendland. Due to the Mützingenta (Ascension to Pentecost) with several thousand visitors and the open-air pizzeria, the place is also known outside the district. Our holiday home is directly adjacent to the Mützingenta site, so that on Wednesdays and Fridays you can be in the pizzeria in two minutes and enjoy a delicious organic stone-oven pizza. Our house is outside the village center and almost in the middle of nature. After a minute's walk you are already in the middle of the forest. You can watch birds, squirrels or other animals, go for a walk or look for mushrooms. Mützingen is relatively central between the "larger" cities in our district. Lüchow is 19 km away, Dannenberg 14 km, Hitzacker 14 km, Clenze 14 km and also the neighboring towns of Uelzen 29 km, Salzwedel 29 km and Lüneburg 50 km are also within easy reach. The next Edeka with a bakery and an extra organic bakery and an outdoor pool can be found in Zernien, about 6 km away.
