Just six miles from Ellsworth, this log cabin in the woods is the ideal place to enjoy a fun-filled getaway. Spend the afternoon on a fun hot-weather hike or hunting deer, then come back to spread out on a comfy sofa and stream Netflix shows on the TV (owner account is provided). This cabin definitely provides a luxurious hunting lodge experience, perfect for getaways out into nature. Head into the full kitchen to cook up a storm via the electric cooktop stove, then enjoy your masterpiece at the dining table with seating for eight that has two butterfly leaves for extension with extra chairs to seat up to 10-12 people, or head out to the front or back deck for an alfresco meal. When evening falls, gather everyone around the firepit for an evening of toasted s'mores and good conversation. Then enjoy a good night's sleep in one of the three well-appointed bedrooms, two on the first level and the third upstairs. The high-speed WiFi will make it easy to connect with your social media friends, the private washer/dryer will ensure everyone has their gear when it's time to head out, and winter guests will appreciate the remote-controlled gas log stove on those chilly nights.

Exactly what we were looking for

Perfect blend of rustic seclusion, convenient to town, and very close to Acadia. Cabin was as described in the listing and photos.

Great trip to Acadia!

We had great experience in this vacation home and at night you can see the Milky Way right outside your room! There are 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 adults. The bathrooms are a little old and the water pressure is a little low, but not unacceptable. It’s close to the national park and we enjoyed our stay. Would come back if I go with a big crowd again!

Fabulous Home

I stayed in this beautiful home with a group of girlfriends, and it was perfect! We loved the decor, and it was exceptionally clean! The location was wonderful— a sense of seclusion on a wooded lot and yet not far from nearby restaurants, shopping, and other local activities. Also, plenty of blankets were available to us on chilly nights. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Silver's Log Cabin

Out in the Country. Smell of fresh pine air when you step outside in the morning. Luxurious log cabin with all the essentials. Close to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park. Fall colors were awesome !!! I would recommend Silver's Log Cabin to anyone wanting a get away in the woods of Maine

Beautiful Log Home

Property was exactly as advertised, beautiful log home, great location, quiet. Unfortunately the management company did not find a serious shower leak and rather gross oven. (They did clean it up when it was pointed out). The leak was eventually fixed however communication was poor.

Incredible Home and Great Location

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week in this home! It accommodated six of us with no problem and we felt so at home. Our stay was comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. The location was perfect for evening bonfires that were quiet, allowed for incredible views of the stars, but also provided close access to Acadia every day. It has a great 'cabin in the woods' feel if that is what you are looking for. Vacasa was also quick to address a minor issue we encountered during our stay. I cannot reccomend this home enough! It was great! However, I will name that it was disappointing that the home was advertised as having an indoor fireplace with remote. It was unplugged and there were different rules posted on the fridge that said the fireplace was strictly off limits. We would have used it as it was cold out every night during our stay.

There were 10 of us, all adults and there are enough beds for all of us. At the beginning I couldn’t find all the beds from the video tour, so for reference they have one bedroom with a king size bed on the 2nd floor, then two bedrooms on the 1st floor. Between them 1 bedrooms has a bunker bed with 1 queen size and 1 twin size bed that can sleep 3 people, the other one has a bunker bed with 2 queen size bed and a separate single size bed, so together can sleep 5 people. The cabin is located at a quite neighborhood and we can actually see the Milky Way! It’s not too far from the national park and the kitchen has everything you need. The two bathrooms are a little bit old and small though but we are not asking for too much. In general great experience for us and we will definitely come back!

Great location, very clean

This property was overall great. The water pressure is extremely low and the hot water runs out easily. There were 5 of us and we had to plan strategically when to take showers and when to run the dishwasher. The kitchen has the bare minimum. The write up said there was a coffee pot but there was only a keurig. We brought coffee and filters, so we had to purchase an inexpensive coffee pot to use. The listing should say keurig , so guests can bring the appropriate form of coffee. The fire pit was great, but the lawn was super tall that we had to walk through to get to it. They had 2 comfortable chairs for it,but there were 5 of us. A few tweaks and this property would be perfect.

Spring review 2023

Four city ladies, we loved the location, super clean. Hated that every window and door was unlocked except the front on arrival. The back door would not latch. VRBO informed. He fireplace was “off limits” based on a written note found on the refrigerator on arrival which was disappointing, however what was worse was the controller of the next thermostat. 62-65 is not comfortable when it is 30 degrees out. I believe they finally understood that in the last night. Ps. Two bags of garbage were put in the basement which was very strange as well. They were not there on night one. Otherwise, location and Acadia were beautiful.

Great place to stay to visit Acadia/Bar Harbor

Cabin looks better in person than in pictures. Nice kitchen and living room. TV worked well. Nice comfortable beds. Fire pit outside was nice. About 25ish minutes to Bar Harbor and Walmart in Ellsworth was less time. Had problem with the shower having no hot water in the lower floor, a worker was called in to fix the problem quickly. The lower closet was also had a little bit of water on the floor and we the day we lefte finally figured out the upper shower leaked when it was running. We reported that as well. The company is really good about coming out to work on the issues. The road driving in from the paved road is a bit bumpy, but no big deal. The living room has it's own split AC which was nice to make things really cool. We opened the windows in the bedrooms to feel the cool air outside. Everything was really nice and convenient. Kitchen had everything needed. Nice appliances. Lots of towels. Overall very comfortable place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor and surrounding area. We underestimated how long it would take to Acadia, there is so much there to see and we could have visited there a few more days, we have Acadia like 2 and a half days. Bar Harbor is great for shopping and eating and other coastal activities like lobster fishing tours and the land bridge. So much to do there, great trip.

Great cabin, a little far from Acadia

This cabin was great for our group of 3 adults and 7 kids. One thing to be aware of is the room with the queen and single bed is actually a bunk bed. It worked fine for our group but I was not expecting a bunk bed. House was clean when we arrived, well stocked kitchen, nice fluffy bath towels. Other people complained in reviews about the water pressure but I thought it was fine and we had plenty of hot water even for the last of 10 people to shower. The bed rooms were hot even with the air turned down. We had brought a fan so that helped. My husband prefers to sleep with it pretty cold but I didn’t think it was too bad. It’s a good 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor and then depending on where you go in Acadia national park it could be another 10-20 minute drive. We typically packed a lunch and we’re gone for the day. Overall it was a great cabin. I would have preferred to be closer to the park but we booked our trip late and there was not much left. I would stay here again if I couldn’t get something closer for a similar price.

Very nice cabin to stay

We all love the cabin a lot. It is very nice designed. It’s very private too. All kids love the wooden bunk bed. The only issue was we lost power at one point and it would take over an hour to reach property manager over the phone.

Very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our girl's trip to Acadia. We were able to make an elaborate meal in the kitchen and on the grill, we had a beautiful fire in the fire pit, and the beds were so comfy. It was also private and quiet but close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
