About this property
Quiet Serenity overlooking the Jungle and Sea
The unit is located in the Cascada Azul community, which is a very safe and quiet community. It is one of 10 units nestled on a Jungle bluff overlooking the majestic Baru River Valley. With the exception of the occasional visit from Toucans, Macaws, Agoutis, Coatis, and Monkeys that patrol the area, you will have complete privacy. The condo has one private bedroom with a Double bed, nightstands, and a custom wardrobe to hang and store all of your belongings. The bathroom has a large shower, a spacious countertop and sink, drawers for storage of towels and toiletries, and YES, we have on demand hot water! The living room and kitchen are one open space with a sliding door that opens to your private back patio, that incredible view and ever changing ocean sunsets. There is a custom futon/sofa bed that folds out to sleep 1-2 people. The furniture is handmade by local woodworkers with native wood. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes, silverware, utensils, etc. It also has a full refrigerator, freezer, stove, blender and microwave. There is a small dining area inside as well as patio furniture should you want to eat outside. The television has cable, and you are welcome to use your own streaming devices as well. If you would like to utilize the grill, it is shared and located near the pool. We also offer free access to the washer and dryer and just ask that you be mindful and considerate of other guests.
Guests have one designated parking space. Please only use your parking space. You will have access to your condo, as well as the gazebo and pool area, the BBQ area, the laundry area, your back patio, and the grassy area beyond your patio. Please feel free to take walks around the community, it is breathtaking with nearly no traffic. We ask that you use the community road and do not trespass onto neighbors driveways or living areas unless invited (you are likely to make some friends).
We strive to keep our space in alignment with the Costa Rican motto of 'Pura Vida", which is loosely translated to "the simple life'. One of the things that drew us to Costa Rica is the value that Costa Rican's place on experiences over materials. We keep our space simple and clean and encourage you to get out to experience Costa Rica and have a quiet, relaxing, and safe space to return to. You can do everything from here, or nothing at all.....its up to you.
** The community has filtered spring water**
We do not provide drinking water although We typically drink water from the tap. During rainy season, we recommend keeping extra drinking water on-hand for when the water is not clear. If you are not comfortable drinking tap water, please bring your own water.
*** Long term-rentals are available as well.
**** 4x4 or high clearance or SUV Recommended

About the host
Hosted by JOE CHAPIN

We are a family that loves to travel! We fell in love with Costa Rica 10 years ago and are fulfilling a lifelong goal of moving to Costa Rica. We have a 10 year old son, so we are in the United States for school, and hop down to Costa Rica as often as we can. We LOVE helping people experience this beautiful country and strive to align with the Costa Rica motto of "Pura Vida". We love simple, easy, living and value experiences over materialism. We hope that you can embrace Pura Vida during your stay, and we are available to help you explore!
Why they chose this property
This property has the best of all worlds. It's just 10 minutes from the beach and Dominical, so you can swim, shop, eat, and then drive home to a peaceful, quiet, and safe space. We discovered that it is fun to stay near the beach for a few days, but it is often too loud and busy when we are ready to settle in for the evenings. If you are looking for a quiet and safe spot with jaw-dropping views, this is definitely for you!
