Welcome to our private retreat! Three bedrooms plus converted garage playroom with 65-inch smart TV on 3 acres, plus three full baths. Enjoy a 250-square-foot screened porch with new built-in Kitchenaid Gas Grill, seating and double swing chair (this is super cool). Fully stocked kitchen with new appliances and coffee bar. Dining table seats 6-8 plus eat-in breakfast bar. New luxury mattresses throughout. Firepit and Adirondack chairs overlooking dock on Taylor's creek; access to two kayaks. Bring your fishing gear and a good book for serious relaxation!

Great property. As advertised. So quiet but had Irvington and white hall right there for anything we needed. Found a few great restaurants. Communication w Dave was great. We will certainly be back.

My wife and I had a great stay in the house. It is close to everything in the Irvington/Weems/White Stone area, but why travel when you can hang out at a comfortable, restful house? Great communications and everything needed was available...

Family Time at Holly Haven
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly Haven Retreat with our adult children. From kayaking, corn hole, ping pong, and board games, to eating at Sals, Los Patrones, the Car Wash Cafe', and antiquing at Rivah or just hanging out on the screened in porch...We had a great getaway! Wonderful family weekend on the river
What a great week in Weems. The river house was really cute and comfortable and gave us more than enough room with our family of 6. The game room gave us extra space and even another bed using the couch for the boys who wanted to stay up and play ping pong and watch tv. The beds and linens were comfortable and the house is stocked with significant amenities for cooking and entertainment. The walk down to the river and dock is relatively short and is lit in the evenings with solar lights. We could sun during the day and fish off the dock. Dave provided extra chairs for this! The location is beautiful and quiet. We slept really well and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The screened in porch was key this week with the rain. It allowed us to still enjoy the river views and feel like we were somewhat outside on the couple days where the rain was constant. Otherwise, we had our morning coffee out there which was a daily pleasure. Ping pong table was a big hit. We had tournaments each night with the family. We also used the bicycles a few times to drive up and down Holly Haven. Kayaks were great to have access to. We took them out to explore. In the cove the water was so calm and smooth, it was really easy to put them out. We saw a bald eagle and heron. And a huge orange tabby who seemed to be keeping an eye on everything from next door. The solo drive and firewood were fantastic to have at the house and not have to bring. It allowed us to stay outside in the evenings.

Great 3 day weekend away from Richmond, VA
We had a great stay at your place. Wonderful size for family of four! Teens loved the rec room - played many games of ping pong. Loved the kayaks for morning creek run. It was so peaceful and quiet. Had the creek to ourselves. We did the silo stove each night and did smores. House was great. Only downside would be not a bike riding place. Roads are 55 speed limit around the area and not ideal to ride to Irvington or even the sports complex. But that is not the houses fault.. Would highly recommend stay and also the host was wonderful!

Great Week Relaxing at the River
My husband and I had a wonderful week at Holly Haven! The house was clean and well set up. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few basic meals (the provided spices came in handy!), the bed was comfortable and the theater room was so fun! The screened in porch was used a lot for reading and watching the wildlife. It was great having kayaks provided so we didn't need to haul so much from home. The area is perfect to paddle around and explore and we were surprised at how quiet it was for the summer even on the weekend. While it was only the 2 of us this house could easily accommodate a family or group of friends. This house will definitely be on our "stay at again" list.

Perfect Family Getaway
This house had everything we needed to make a complete family vacation. From the location to the extra towels and the soft beds, we enjoyed it all. The home is tucked away on the river and had a great boat dock for us to rent a boat. The bathroom and kitchen had more than enough toiletries and utensils. They even had a crab boil pot. The beds were perfectly soft and the views from the patio were beautiful. We enjoyed the outdoor/indoor BBQ and the kids had their own rec room which they couldn’t get enough of. David’s communication was fast and he was such a pleasure to chat with. He took care of anything we needed and that’s why we will be returning. Thank you for opening your home to our family a fur baby!

Perfect Spot for Total Relaxation
Booked this trip for my immediate family and my parents and sister as a time for us to all be together and relax after a busy and some times stressful, year for our family. The home was absolutely perfect and the host had everything we could ever need. The view of the water is spectacular and would be enjoyed all seasons of the year. This home has definitely been added to our return list! Highly recommend.

Simply Lovely Holiday
We stayed here for Christmas holiday, as my sister lives close by. This place fit the bill for my husband and I, our college age son, and my parents. Rooms were good size and we managed with the two full baths in the main house and our son used the one in the game room annex. Beds were comfortable. We loved the firepit overlooking the river and spent many cocktail hours there. Only a couple minor challenges: motion sensor light coming on (probably due to animals) and filtering into the primary bedroom; upstairs toilet was wobbly (probs just needs to be bolted tighter); we heard mice running in the walls during night (NBD as long as they stayed in the walls), and the kitchen was not equipped as much as we had preferred. We missed items like serving bowls, glass casserole pans, metal spatulas, tongs, cheese grater, etc. We cook a lot so we did struggle a little. But kitchen was good size, appliances were good, and we especially liked the coffee counter. We appreciated that pets were welcome and our geriatric dog enjoyed the grounds and morning walks along the nice long driveway. GREAT location, spectacular river view and proximity to popular spots in the area. We would def stay here again, despite the kitchen items we missed.

Hospitality was top notch with everything considered and available. Fantastic view of the water with boat and kayak access. We enjoyed a quiet bike ride on a traffic free road and peaceful gatherings on the patio. Hosts thought of everything!

We travelled with a total of 3 couples and enjoyed our stay. Close to many of the small towns nearby. Beautiful view of the creek. We loved the fire pit and the outdoor kitchen, and appreciated all of the streaming services.

Quiet, Comfortable Property with Everything You Need
My wife and I were looking for a quiet get-away with a waterfront view and this home fit the bill perfectly. It was very well appointed, with everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. Our host David was always responsive to our needs. He even arranged to bring in some bicycles for us because there wasn't anyplace to rent them nearby. Great place to explore the lower end of the Northern Neck of VA.

Sweetest Bday Retreat
My bday wknd was complete because of this sweet oasis. So happy we chose this. It was quiet, beautiful riverfront, and we had full access to all the amenities. Definitely would recommend to anyone. (This was my first stay using VRBO and I am sold.) The host (Dave) was phenomenal, very communicative, and accommodating even had a happy birthday themed welcome gift for me. Dave provided assistance any time I messaged and had a question or needed anything and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly for us. This made me feel super comfortable and that they would be accessible if anything were to happen. The space is nice and beds are quite cozy and comfy. Easy check-in and check-out. I forgot a couple of things and they offered to send them to me. All in all, had a splendid time and couldn't have been any sweeter. If you want a nice getaway that's hassle free with an amazing host. HIGHLY recommend!

The house was in a great spot! It is a beautiful house that is maintained very well. The creek the house was located on had so much wildlife you can enjoy from the dock. Dave was a wonderful host and was very responsive to any questions.

Beautiful and convenient house!
We had a great stay in the Holly Haven cozy and elegant house. Such nice personal touches and convenient items stocked up, like tp and coffee! Starting at booking, the rental process was quick and easy. Dave was excellent to communicate with, everything inside the house was running smoothly, and we had no issues whatsoever during our stay. The house felt loved and taken care of. The views are beautiful, all furniture and appliances served us well during our week long vacation for our family of 6, with kids ages 6 years old to newborn. The house was an easy drive to Busch gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, nearby restaurants and shopping, as well as to nature preserves and quaint beaches. We had a wonderful family vacation, and would highly recommend this property.

A True Vacation
We had so much fun during our stay! The house is well-appointed and maintained. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking from the pier, drinking coffee on the screened porch and roasting s’mores at night. The location was close to many activities and restaurants. It was a true vacation for my family - thank you!
