About the host
Hosted by Joeleen Wilkinson

Originally from Washington State we have called Hawaii our home for the past 5 years. I enjoy learning about homesteading, gardening, animal husbandry, bee keeping etc. I love being a host because our home gets to be a part of your memories, and we get to help you have the most enjoyable stay on the island.
Why they chose this property
I love where we are located in this neighborhood because we can walk in either direction and come to beautiful spots to whale watch. In this neighborhood there is a beautiful 2.5 mile hike (each way) that brings you to a secluded beach. There are so many opportunities for adventure.
There is a Maku’u Farmers market every Sunday 7am-2pm. It is a large market where you can get all of your produce, hot food and souvenirs.

What makes this property unique
Being close to the ocean and nature made this property stand out to us. We get to experience the fresh sea breeze daily and then take a short walk down to the point to take a dip in tide pools or just sit and watch the waves. It is such a magical place.
