I enjoy quiet walks on the beach collecting sea glass. Beautiful sunsets in the back yard overlooking the marsh. I enjoyed visiting the wildlife refuge parks. I wish I had more time.
We were in the area for a lacrosse tournament and decide to spend a few days at the beach. This cottage was everything we needed for our trip. Alex was always there to answer our questions and give suggestions of things to do in the area. If you want a nice quiet vacation this is your place.

Not as clean as I had hoped
We stayed 3 nights in the cottage. It is a very cute little place in a very quiet neighborhood. The neighbors that we saw were all very friendly.
It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it to be. There was hair in the shower before we even used it, cookie pieces in the couch and the backyard was not mowed and it was a jungle. We couldn’t use the yard at all because of it. We are outdoorsy people so this was very disappointing for us. The A/C in the bedroom was horrible too. It ran for the entire time we were there and was hot in there when we left. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. The futon was so hard and any of us who slept there (very little) had a sore back in the morning.
Also, I couldn’t find the remote for the bedroom TV.
My kids enjoyed Slaughter Beach. We always parked at the firehall at the pavilion. It has a public restroom and a place to wash the sand off of you before getting in your car. The horseshoe crabs were neat to look at, but stunk and attracted so many flies that bit you and that in itself made the beach miserable for my husband and I.
We were in Delaware for a lacrosse tournament in Frederica and this was a great option for our stay. I enjoyed running on the beach in the mornings and seeing the horseshoe crabs.
We stayed here for a lacrosse tournament that was in Frederica. Place was just as advertised. The main bedroom can get a little warm it was a hot one. I misread about the washer and dryer. It would have been nice but understand I guess. They also left a nice not and a cool coffee mug.
If you are looking for a quiet vacation spot, this is it. I don’t know how it is in the summer but September was wonderful. Nice tree to sit under in the backyard with a sunset view of the marsh. Walk across the street to see the sunrise on the beach. Nice location in this small community. The cottage is cozy and comfortable with a comfortable sofa and bed, nice artwork, sunroom, and a great place to relax. I will return!
Decided to book something at my favorite beach for a long unofficial end of summer weekend. The cottage was quaint and near the bay beach public access. House was well equipped and very clean. Thank you for hosting us!! 🏖️⛱️
I needed a few days away from home and this was the great place for it. The beach was pretty easy to get to maybe 3 minute walk, and that's where I spent most of my time. There's no grocery shopping in the immediate area or any tourists, thank God, but then I was here in January. It was great and quiet and perfect thank you
The cottage is well stocked with everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Slaughter Beach. Just a short walk to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Lewes, and Rehoboth. Very comfortable cottage and the owner was very responsive to all our questions! Highly recommend this beautiful cottage.
Very restful stay. We were a party of 5 (the max size for cottage) but it worked out fine. Before arriving I had concerns about putting someone in the enclosed porch area but it actually functioned as a nice private room for my son. The porch was a bit warm in the daytime since we happened to be there in a very hot week, but it cooled down at night. Kitchen is very nice, too.
We stayed 3 nights and visited out around the area. Nice variety of activities available from Milford to Lewes, and the sleep number bed was lovely...bought one for ourselves after that!
Just the place we needed to escape from the insanity of a three day girls lacrosse tournament
Just the place we needed to escape from the insanity of a three day girls lacrosse tournament. We rented this place more as a substitution for a hotel then as a vacation stop. Now that we have stayed there we will definitely try to rent it again next year. On the Portland to tempted to cozy old-school beach cottage on an extremely quiet beach. I don't think 30 cars drove down the beach road in the three days that we were there. We will be returning.
Loved this property. Just a few houses away from the beach. Beautiful sunsets over the nature preserve behind the property. We will definitely be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this comfy cottage nestled in a quiet seaside community. The beach is just across the street and the backyard has lovely marshland views.
House was on a quiet road across the street from a public beach access point. It was charming and quaint, perfect for a relaxing long weekend. The beach was a natural beach so not a tourist trap, and allowed for privacy and sense of peace. With nearby towns of Milford and Rehoboth Beach, restaurants and other amenities were a short drive. Overall, a really great stay!
