Beautiful, well appointed cabin - everything was as advertised. Loved the expansive views of the Toccoa River from the porch (I could have sat there the entire weekend). This will be one of our "go-to" places to rent going forward.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the River’s Edge! Beautiful and spacious home right on the Toccoa River with every amenity you could ask for. It was the perfect place for our family vacation!
Loved every second of our time in Blue Ridge. Fantastic location. Beautiful home on the water. Far exceeded our expectations. Pictures do not do this home justice!!
This rental has everything you could imagine and more. We were there for a casual Labor Day weekend with friends and kiddos. The house had plenty of space for 5 adults and 3 kids. Biking/hiking trails are at the base of the road to the property, and river relaxing right in front. The beds were super comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals the entire trip. We will definitely be staying here again next trip!
We have spent a weekend on this river for 20 years as childhood friends! I can say this has been the best yet! Host was very quick on communication and this cabin had all that you could ever need! We will always look to book this property first in the future! Thank you for being apart of a lifetime of stories!
Very nice cabin on the river. Tons of amenities. Comfortable and clean beds. Lots of extra towels. Numerous bathrooms and showers. Everything in the house has been upgraded. Tons and tons of amenities and extras. Highly recommend.
We had a super time. The home is lovely and spacious and was perfect for what we needed. The location is quiet and nice, right on the Toccoa river. We went upstream on main road (ASKA) and tube floated back to house about 2 miles almost every day. There were no other floaters on that stretch so was like we owned the river. Also did many activities in Blue Ridge area, Helen and Cleveland Georgia.
This house is magnificent! Very large and great to spread out with family and friends. It is right on the Taccoa River so you can walk out the front and throw in a tube. The location is only 15 min from downtown Blue Ridge, about 1.5 hours from Helen, and 30 min to Ellijay. Rafting down the Ocoee is only 50 minutes and tubing is minutes away. The house itself if very nice, clean, and the owner is extremely responsive, definitely will be staying again!
From the moment our group arrived at this unbelievably wonderful place I knew it was going to be just what we were looking for. The setting is amazing and the home is impeccable. I can’t say enough about the owner, Greta, and how attentive she was to our questions and to how beautifully appointed her home is. Thank you so much for providing my friends and I the space and opportunity to vacation in style. We will be back.

Our family began visiting BR and The Toccoa river in 2014 when a friend invited us to stay with her parents who own the last cabin on The Toccoa before it reaches Lake Blue Ridge. We amazed that only 90 miles from Atlanta and we felt like we were in Colorado. It was magical with the trees and the winding road leading the cabin. I was in love with the town of BR and the fellow owners on Trout Lane. During that wknd getaway, I was determined to find a property on this stretch of the river which is surrounded by national forest. The challenge was there was only 10 lots and the homes had been passed down for generations to family members. After several trips over a few years, the opportunity came in 2016 when a family decided to sell their cabin as it need a lot of TLC & renovations. I will never forget driving to BR meeting the family with my husband and son. We were so blessed that they thought of us and allowed us to buy directly from them. Immediately after the closing, we went back to the cabin and began pulling up the carpet in the bedrooms and cutting down the many overgrown bushes and trees that covered the home. Over the next 24 months, we underwent a major renovation taking the cabin to the studs to replace plumbing and electric as the original cabin (back of home) was built in the 1960s with an addition completed in the 1980s. We made the decision on every piece of wood, stain, stone, door handles, shelves, furniture and blankets. Our son was only 4 and was there with us every step of the way working on the home and deciding on every detail. We have so many memories in the walls of our home on The Toccoa & have spent every Thanksgiving and NYE in our home since the year we purchased the property. Our family will always cherish the memories we have created with the special friends and neighbors on Trout Lane. With some families we have entertained they have also fallen in love with BR and have also purchased homes in the mountains.
Why they chose this property
This property has so much history from the original cabin being established in the early sixties. There was a childrens summer camp located on the original land and in the 60s, the owner decided to not continue the camp. He divided the land and began to sell lots. After the 10th lot was sold, the Federal Government contacted the owner and offered to purchase the remaining acreage as it was needed for the TVA (Tennesse Valley Assocation). Therefore, our cabin with 10 others is nestled within hundreds of acreages that have been converted into national forest surrounding Lake Blue Ridge and the Toccoa River. The cabin has been completed renovated and updated with many of the original cabin features being kept. You will enjoy life on The Toccoa as the kids did back in the early 1900s through the 60s. Uninterrupted family time with lots of fun fishing, swimming and floating down The Toccoa River.
