Lovely cozy casita

The historic hacienda was beautifully appointed in rustic, authentic details. The kiva fireplace was enjoyed on the cool nights. We had everything we needed and more! Can’t wait to come back next year❤️

Loved this place

Beautiful historic adobe ranch with an amazing patio. Spent a lot of time there. Nice warm well-appointed interior. Walkable to Ranchos village. Also very close to great hikes south.

Strange communication with owners

When we arrived fairly late (10:30ish), there was a man inside our reserved VRBO. He came out and told us he was staying with friends next door but the owner had told him he could use the space we reserved. He packed up quickly and left but he had laid on the bed already. We saw the owner and her boyfriend separately the next day; the boyfriend talked to us like we were the friends of the man (admitting they had messed up) and the owner didn't apologize or mention the incident at all. Also, the toilet doesn't work perfectly (made a draining noise all night one night) and there's a vent in the bathroom ceiling that made the sound of dripping water. We were both a little nervous after the first night's incident, making the stay less enjoyable.

Oasis

Lovely courtyard right in the neighborhood affords a private and peaceful refuge. Small space with design that maximizes, with a lovely kiva fireplace with firewood supplied. Walking distance to ancho de Taos and a short drive to town. It was a little hard to find initially

Lovely, but not for remote work!

Picturesque place. Could use some blackout curtains! We were up with the sun every day. Wifi went out midday while we were working. Needed an easy power reboot we couldn’t access, but didn’t get fixed until the evening—meaning we had to cancel meetings and our holiday plans the next day, so we could get our work done.

Not as expected

Great room didn't heat well overnight and unit administrator brought us a space heater that worked well during our stay. However, this is a small unit with a low ceiling. The floor against the outside wall of the great room is unleveled. This unit would have been cozy had it not been for the abundant dog hair on the sofa and throw pillows. There were also human hairs on the bed sheets. The unit administrator did offer to have housekeeping come out, but I had already set up the sofa and bed with shower curtains and new sheets.

Amazing stay

Had the best time here, and we can't wait to come back. The property is lovely, especially the nearly 2 acre field at the back for pups to play in.
