The cabin and its location made for a great escape from the heat and humidity of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Loved the creekside deck and pavilion. Cabin was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Would definitely stay again.
This little cottage was perfect for the two of us. Tucked away from the main roads, the property sits on a wonderful active creek. Sit on the porch and listen to the sounds of nature or swing in the hammock just feet away from the creek. We did both! Grealocation
This place is even better than the pictures. Ot was just what we were looking for. Im 6 foot so I had to watch me head on the porch roof but I got used to it. It was a great place to have our Thanksgiving this year and celebrate my wifes 30th. Did a hike nearby, the roads there a beautiful, and we loved the sound of the stream. The hosts keep a great little place here.
Man, when I say this place is AMAZING. It is the most comfortable, homey hidden gem in the mountains. We so enjoyed cooking and just spending time together in such an adorable little place. I loved getting up in the morning and listening to the river while sitting in front of the fire drinking coffee and knitting. There was no cell service (WiFi was available) and we loved that because we weren't disturbed. It was just the most idyllic place. We are already talking about going back in the summer. Thank you, Brad and Joyanna, for sharing your paradise with us! :)
We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs listening to the stream and watching the butterflies. So peaceful and relaxing. The daybed was the perfect place for napping. Our fur baby loved the private deck on the stream that was completely fenced in. Comfy bed, all the necessities. Make sure to screen shot or write down the number for the lock box or you’ll have to drive back several miles to be able to login to Vrbo. My fault. Thank you!
BEWARE not so cozy, cabin it oozes an offensive musty odor.
We drove 12 hours and arrived at the cabin late in the day tired in need of rest and when we walked in, we got hit by a strong musty smell.
There were two ceiling fans going full blast probably trying to mask the smell, we walked out immediately as my husband and 8-year-old daughter suffer from Ashma and cannot risk staying in this place oozing a very offensive musty odor of mold.
We drove for a while before getting cell signal to contact the host that took several hours to reply telling us no refund saying he does not list having AC a special accommodation, the real problem is he does not disclose this place is oozing an unhealthy odor, so it's not about the lack of ventilation system it's about "the musty mold odor"
We rented this cabin because of the good reviews but after entering and spending less than 5 minutes we strongly doubt the veracity of the reviews. We had to drive 40 miles to find a hotel to stay for the week. In the end host refunded $250.00 and kept $877.00 of our dollars.
We are VRVO and Expedia Gold star members and never had a complain about a host or against us.
This cabin is adorable and so well laid out. Brad was an exceptional host and I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway!
We loved this little gem! It's not big on square footage, but it's fully functional and absolutely charming. The creek, mica beach, and pavilion are perfect!
The property was very nice. We enjoyed cabin and scenery. We seen snake by the creek so maybe signs of caution should be posted. The amenities in cabin were good. All in all we were happy with trip and will go back. Owners very nice and responded promptly.
My husband and I stayed in this perfect little log cabin for 2 nights and we both felt so "at home". Everything is so cozy and inviting. We loved sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of the creek and watching wildlife. My only regret was not staying longer.
