Beautiful home and a great layout

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The neighborhood is not ideal and driving at night could be a bit challenging but the house is close to the highway. We appreciated the homeowners timely response to our request and all and all we had a good experience.

Great stay for family of 4. Perfect bedroom for toddler.

House was a perfect stay in Asheville for a family of 4 with a 3 year old toddler. One of the bedrooms didn't have too much he could mess with overnight and was perfect for him. The rest of the house was generally clean and very well stocked with basic kitchen tools and useful furniture.

Quiet and Clean

Our family stayed there for a wedding we were attending at the Biltmore Estate. It was close by and getting around using Waze was easy. Really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was just minutes away from Biltmore Village and downtown Asheville. The house was roomy and nicely decorated. Nice decks and yard. The master bedroom and bath were luxurious. All in all a wonderful stay in a great city.

Great Stay

House was just as pictured—very clean, modern, and well stocked! We enjoyed the board games and cards, and the kids enjoyed the hammocks in the backyard. Close to the Biltmore House, restaurants, and everything Asheville has to offer. Definitely in a residential area, but it was perfect for our needs. Would totally recommend!

Lovely place close to Biltmore

This was a lovely place, very clean, and close to Biltmore. I somehow missed that the 3rd bathroom was in the basement, accessed from outside. That was my fault for not reading details closely. Be sure to bring supplies (garbage bags, toilet paper, etc.)as the supplies were limited. We were informed of this, so came prepared, and there are stores close by.

Overall good stay

This house is beautifully redone and was pretty well stocked. There were some discrepancies with the information posted in the house versus what was emailed to me. I wouldn’t have booked this house knowing that the 3rd bathroom is not accessible from inside the house. There is a note on the listing now but I don’t recall seeing it when I booked it months ago. The WiFi was pretty much useless and frustrating when trying to use the smart tv. It wasn’t as clean as I prefer (hair/dustbunnies, toothpick in the bathroom, sheets on the closet floor). A few adjustments and this would easily be a 5 star property.

Nice Home/Lacks Attention to Cleanliness

While the communication with the concierge and owners was much appreciated, we struggled with the lack of cleanliness upon arrival. The interior of the home was nice and modern, however, quite dirty. There were ants in the kitchen (floors and counters), so we had to be selective about where we placed food and drinks. They also were in one bathroom and the living room. The master suite bathroom was dirty. There was chunks of someone else’s hair in the drain of the shower and around the floor of the shower. I had to rinse it out before showering. My parents utilized the guest bathroom and it had black hairs in the shower that my father had to rinse out before use. While I do not blame the owners, I believe it would be wise to discuss this with the cleaning service they use, as it is something added into the cost of our stay. The backyard was not assembled as in the pictures, but we were physically capable of moving the chairs if needed. Others may struggle to do so, and would appreciate the chairs being assembled as pictured.

Great house!

Great house! Just as in photos and as described. Very clean, bright, convenient, and comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood, but minutes from great restaurants, shops, Biltmore, and downtown Asheville. Would definitely book again!

Great family house!

We spent a 6-day family vacation at the Oakley house. It was a fabulous location to be near the airport, Biltmore, downtown and much more! The house has been renovated and looks exactly like the pictures! As a family of 5, we cook a lot. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The bonus room downstairs and the fire pit were a wonderful added touch for our kids.

About the host

Hosted by Amanda Williams

Host profile image
Hi there! I am a busy mom of 3 boys who wants to share our wonderful city of Asheville with folks. We have lived here for 12 years and love everything it has to offer. When we aren't at the soccer field, we often spend our weekends hiking, tubing, biking, and looking for hidden swimming holes! We also really enjoy hanging out at many of the wonderful breweries that are family friendly. One of our other hobbies is real estate! We enjoy finding homes that need some TLC and bringing them back to life to create affordable housing in our area. As a host, we wanted to create a relaxing environment for our guests where they could unwind and relax, but also be close to the multitude of things to do in our beautiful city. We once traveled to Baltimore and stayed in a B&B. The room and the bedding was so comfortable we didn't even want to go out on the town! That is what we want for our guests!!

Why they chose this property

We chose this home because of it's convenient but quiet location that offers easy guest access to the Biltmore area, downtown, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We also love how spacious the living, dining, and kitchen areas are! Perfect for visiting with family and friends! Finally, we really liked the bonus area downstairs that gives guests easy access to a bathroom and mini-fridge while enjoying the firepit and hammock's without having to walk back and forth into the main entrance of the home!

What makes this property unique

Very spacious main living area for visiting with friends and family! Also, our outdoor area with access to a bathroom and kids hang out area.
